The service was exceptional. Everyone that I worked with was very professional. Their quote was incredibly thorough and they explained to me why they were recommended the system that they were. They stuck with their quote even though during the work they realized something additional needed to be done. After the installation, I noticed the system was a little loud, but they were very responsive with coming out to address my concerns. They even did some extra work! I was very pleased and the unit has been working well!

Dealing with them for the maintenance and delivery, they always do what they say they will do when they say they’ll do it. My mom, who was picky, did not like one of the technicians that came out once for the maintenance, so the next year I let them know that she did not care for the previous service. They really listened and sent a different technician that was incredibly good; very respectful and he told us everything he was doing along with why. When he left, everything was in better shape than when he arrived!

I’ve been a customer of theirs for at least 30 years and they’ve always done a great job. It’s a good company and I’ve never had any problems.

The sales associate was very good when they came out for the quote discussed options and were prompt with scheduling appointments and giving us a price during the actual quote appointment. The technicians that came out didn't seem to have worked with the product ordered or a mini-split system before but we watched as they read the instructions and installed it. They drilled the holes too low through our dry wall however, they came back three times after the installation to repair and then had to buy matching paint as we had none left and painted the spots. A mistake was made but they came out and fixed it without us asking. The system is working well and passed all inspections from the county. So even though they may not have had experience installing this model or system they did a good job figuring it out. Price was a little higher than other quotes we have had Berico out to service other items with our whole house HVAC system and they have always been reliable and that is why we went with them.

Nothing stood out about them. We haven't dealt with them that much. They showed up on time.

Great service right up until the point that they I needed fuel. I was totally prepared to switch oil companies and go with Berico, but Berico would not match the retail rate of the "other" oil provider. When I talked with them on the phone the sales representative was very polite and said that she would check with her manager, who was out for the day. Next day I receive a call back and the sales representative said they would not match the price and that the manager would not even attempt to meet the "other" companies retail price. I was prepared to purchase fuel at a higher rate because of the quality of the service that had been provided, but when the manager was unwilling to even talk about it Berico went from an "A" to "C" rating. The reality is that the service end of the business appears to understand sales, only to be tarnished by the other end of the business. Despite me purchasing my fuel elsewhere I would recommend Berico for when you need your heat and air system serviced or repaired, just don't expect much value from the residential fuel department.

I found their service to be excellent. Basically, their customer service was great. I have been very pleased with how they responded and how they communicated with us when they got here. They told us what they were doing and they were true to their word as far as the price. Everything was great.

I picked 5 HVAC top tier equipment installers from Angie's List for this area and received quotes from all of them. All of the installers were knowledgeable and I probably would have felt comfortable with any of them, however, a family owned business with continuity going forward means a lot to me and this is what Berico provided that I felt the others didn't. With Berico, I'm not worried about them selling out to a firm that doesn't know me or wherein I'm just another faceless customer. I've been through that scenario a couple of times and I'd rather deal with a firm that's stable and has plans to remain so. I want them to know me and I want to know them. Berico also provided one of the better quotes and their salesman was very knowledgeable. Not all of the quoters did a whole house measurement for air flow to make sure that the equipment was sized correctly but Berico's salesman did as he said that this effort was very important. Berico also provided and installed, at no extra charge, an attic zip tent that seals off my attic to prevent the escape of heating or cooling air, whichever the case may be. Their install took the better part of a day and several days later the City of Greensboro inspector came out and passed all of their work without any problems. The inspector that came out was a former HVAC installer and a licensed electrician so he knows what he was looking at.

We have used Berico for years. They are always professional and on time. Berico has replaced our oil furnace and air-conditioner in the past five years and installed a ductless HVAC unit in our home. Their prices are competitive and were lower than two other estimates on the ductless unit.

The "other guys" said it couldn't be fixed, that I needed to replace my heating/air unit, but I just wasn't ready to fork out $6000+ for a new one. In a last ditched effort I looked on Angie's List for one last try. I called Berico. They arrived the same day I called. The service man "Mitch" was the most professional, proficient contractor I had ever met. His knowledge and ability to explain things was amazing. He went over the system with a fine-toothed comb, and after making many calls, looking for available parts, he told me he could fix it, something no one else was willing to attempt. I could tell from his initial effort that it wouldn't be easy, but I relaxed and decided to turn it over to him. For the better part of the day he labored. Much of the time he worked in the cold rain, even crawling on his belly through the crawl space. In the end he had actually fixed it, better than it had worked for years. I am so pleased to have found a truly honest, hardworking contractor. Quality workmanship does not come cheap but they saved me thousands and thousands of dollars in the end. Worth it? The technician finally came to service my air conditioner.He couldn't find my home because they had the wrong address.He was nice, courteous and professional.He mentioned smelling gas around the unit and advised me to call my gas provider.I did,they found a leak in the unit and turned my gas off and locked my tank until the repair could be made.I called Berico and advised them of the problem.Since I already had an appt.I ask if that person could do the repair and I was told yes.So again I waited,the technician couldn't find me because the address,again, was wrong.He also was nice,courteous and professional but was a consultant and was unaware of the repairs needed.I again called the office and no-one remembered talking to me about my gas leak and my unit being "red tagged" and my gas cut off.They offered to set up another appt.but I decided to let it wait till fall.

We needed a new furnace and air conditioning system for our 3100 sq. ft house. McBane Brown was recommended to us by a neighbor who owns a large engineering consulting company and who had used them to install a new furnace and duct work to his house. He said they did very good work for a fair price. McBane Brown came and listened to our concerns, made a thorough inspection and then came back to us with their recommendations and price in writing. They needed to move the furnace to another location from where the old one had been. They were here day-in and day-out for several weeks, but we were never inconvenienced in any way. We are very happy with the results and the professionalism and know-how of this company. I have had to call them a few times for various problems, and they always come right away and stay until the problem is resolved. We also have a service contract with them. I would recommend McBane Brown to anyone.

My experience has been great. They have a great service. Their price is a little high but get what you pay for.

Maintenance man arrived on time and had all necessary tools to correctly complete job. He was cordial and polite. After the initial service call, we heard a different noise coming from the furnace. The same maintenance man returned, re-adjusted the furnace draft and explained that he had the draft too loose in an attempt to save us some money on fuel. After his adjustment of the draft, the furnace works well.

Berico was clearly professional in its sales and its installation practices. We were very pleased with their services.

The technician who installed the new coil did an excellent job. However, the other technicians that had been to the house prior to the repairs were not as good. They advised there was a leak but made no effort to report the leak or to repair it. Furthermore, Berico later told us that the county had to inspect the new coil, and we had to choose a time of day for the inspector to come. Thus, we chose a morning inspection. We waited and waited, but no inspector arrived and no one called. Later I learned that Berico had not informed the county that an inspection was necessar. Ultimately, I would not use them again or recommend them.
