They do a good job and everything has been working fine. I am satisfied with the work. The technician did a thorough examination and found some things that were wrong that other provider's had not found. Scheduling was easy. He completed the work in about four hours.

On time, professional, Will use them again.

The technician was very professional and explained what he was doing as he troubleshot the problem with our AC. He explained that a capacitor was bad and the unit needed freon. He reviewed the cost of the repairs and also recommended we sign up for an annual maintenance plan. The overall experience would have been excellent if not for the pricing. We were charged $166.61 for the capacitor. I looked up the cost online from a reputable supply house and their cost was only $35. Now I expect a service company to mark up the cost of parts as they need to make a profit, but a mark up of over 375% is outrageous and insulting. One could argue that I could have skipped the repair and only pay for the $85 diagnostic fee. I agree, but we had just brought home our newborn son the day before and I needed the AC fixed immediately. I feel like I was taken advantage of and as a result I will no longer do business with this company.

They are excellent. They are responsive when they get here and do what needs to be done. They perform the service rapidly and in good fashion. Another company wanted $3,500 to do the work and they said I needed to replace it. I think they are the biggest oil company in town. They have done a good job when I've used them. I will absolutely continue to use them.

We recently purchased our home and had a home warranty that covers repairs in some cases. The Technician discussed several service packages Berico offered their customers but suggested we wait until our warranty expires before purchasing. Even though I was aware of this, I was impressed he did not try to push the service packages on me. Provider was quick to respond, punctual and professional.

The scheduling process was a bit messy. But they were very professional throughout. After the job was done, I had to ask for a report a couple of times. But they delivered it as expected.

The technician arrived on time and put on "floor" protectors over his shoes (nice touch!). He checked both thermostats and the unit in the attic; the outside unit as well. He was most professional as was the lady who booked the appointment. The technician also gave good information regarding proper maintenance. The company earned my seal of approval and I would recommend and use them again.

I had called to have Berico pump out an oil tank prior to removal. They came out and determined there was not enough oil in the tank to pump. They did not charge me for anything and even referred me to someone who would remove the empty tank. If we ever need their services in the future, we will definitely call them!

I am the owner of a small business whose air-conditioning unit was stolen several months back, along with many other business owners in our complex. Upon the condo units being stolen, I had several companies/individuals present wih estimates. I chose Berico because I was told "we stand behind our work." I was also told to purchase a larger unit, because it would "run more efficiently and save on our energy bills." During the installation process I was then told I would also need a new thermostat for an additional cost of $551.23. After reviewing my invoice, I see the thermostat was actually $252.02, while the additional charge was for an expansion valve at $299.21, in which I was never informed of. When the unit was installed we continued to have a problem where the heat and air would run simultaneously. After several service calls and repairs, the unit seems to be funcitoning properly; however, I have discovered my energy bills have not been lower; in fact, they are higher. My expectation in hiring Berico was to have a unit in place and functioning properly without a need for me to pay for what wasn't fixed correctly the first time. After several email correspondence with the manager at Berico, and sharing of my original proposal, I am continually being badgered for $448.56 in fees charged during my warranty period, in which I do not feel responsible for because I was not informed in advance that this particular service call and repair was not covered under my warranty.

Early in June, one of two HVAC units failed. After getting three estimates, we chose Berico to install a new system. They did a good job, were very professional, and we were pleased with the new unit. Less than a week later, the second old unit failed. Berico was very prompt in getting us an estimate for that unit, and then replacing it. It was unfortunate that we had to replace both units, but that was not Berico's fault. They have been very responsive (and sympathetic).

I had no notable HVAC issues and simply wanted a 'check-up' for the units in a home we moved into. Called and was able to schedule service within 3 days. Technician who arrived introduced himself (oddly something that many service technicians fail to do), was attentive to my concerns, and wore booties inside the house. He came across as very knowledgeable and seemed to take pride in the nuances of his profession: explaining what type of systems we have, the best way to minimize heating/cooling costs, etc. Basically taking the time to educate me as the owner on important aspects of our units. Customer service throughout. He also replaced most of the filters (we have one odd size that wasn't on his truck) and left a list of the # and sizes of our filters for our reference. Overall an excellent experience. Will call again for annual tune-up and would recommend to family and friends.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service and it went well. This was the first time I used this company and the gentleman who came to my house, Michael, was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to explain everything to me, more than I think he had time for. He did a fantastic job in my eyes.

The service went just fine. I had purchased a big deal for the inspection of the air conditioning system and it was done very professionally and the guy was very knowledgeable. Future services from them need to be arranged.

I bought a "Central A/C Inspection, Cleaning and Tune-up" for $49 via Angie's offer. When the first technician from Berico came over I found out that the service was for 1 single A/C unit (!) which was not clear at the time of offer and I would have to pay an additional $80+ for my second A/C as the sale price has expired (!). Re-scheduled the visit and called Berico which after some discussion agreed to keep the price of $49 for the other unit. The new visit was cancelled short notice by the company, after I have made personal arrangements to be at home (that's one of the reasons for 'B' on responsiveness). No big deal, but not an "A" score. When finally the third visit took place and service started, I was informed that one of my units was low on freon and I would have to pay around $100 for 1st pound of gas plus $40+ for each additional pound. I inquired what was the scope of "Tune-up" and the technician listed a lot of "check-up". In my opinion, check-up falls into the "Inspection" category of the service I bought. As per "Tune up" I would expect some small adjustments to ensure A/C is working fine, including freon as a basic need (example: a car tune-up includes a filter replacement), especially when the service name already list "Inspection" separately. I wonder what is the conceptual difference between Inspection and Tune-up on the service I bought (!). Overall I end-up paying $200+ for a service that I bought initially for $49 due to poor communication. Should I knew that upfront I would not have hired this service as I could have it done for just $60 from my Home Warranty company - including freon and 2 A/C units - as I had last year. #Update, after Berico's reponse. I appreciate your response, very professional and showing a lot of customer appreciation (updated rating to A in professionalism). Thank you for taking this feedback seriously as an opportunity for improvement in your next offers and messages. Wanted to clarify that the maintenance service itself was very good, just didn't get an 'A' in Quality due to the communication issue.

It was a very complicated process, but this wasn't Berico's fault. We purchased a Goodman Heating and A/C unit some 6 years ago. It has been nothing but trouble and has cost us a small fortune. To top that off, Goodman's 10-year parts warranty is no longer valid for us. Apparently, we were supposed to register our purchase online with Goodman within 60 days of our purchase. We did not know this. The warranty card we got with our unit says to only send it in if there is a problem. Buried in many other pieces of paperwork is the requirement for the online registration. So even though we still have the original purchase receipt, Goodman says they will no longer honor our warranty (which was only for the parts, not the labor). Considering Goodman's questionable policies/ethics and the unbelievable amount of trouble this unit has given us, we would NEVER purchase anything from Goodman again. Back to Berico. They spent hours and hours trying to figure out where the very small leak was and did not charge us for a fair amount of their effort. Though the situation wasn't their fault (they were not the original installer) they were intent on helping us get this thing fixed once and for all. I believe they have accomplished that and I am very grateful that they worked so closely with us on this problem. I will definitely use them again and would happily recommend their services to anyone.

Mark (Service Manager) was very professional and courteous! He never pressured me into any of their offerings, but rather acted as a trusted advisor. When I inquired as to my options for getting a Service Tech to come out to my house, Mark explained each and every one of them and answered the follow-up questions that I had for him. I look forward to getting back in touch with Berico very soon for a check of my a/c unit. I am very pleased with the experience that I had today with Berico and if the other employees are anything like Mark - they would get my highest recommendation!!

The technician was very thorough and explained everything inspected. They also keep a record of our model in case we need assistance in the future.

The technician was prompt and inspected the entire system from the furnace, air filters, vent system and the actual outside unit. The technician also checked with a thermometer to see if the unit was cooling properly, and then he cleaned the outside unit. He took his time and was unhurried. I did not feel as though he rushed the job even though it was an Angies list special. I was so pleased I will be using the company again and I will be requesting the same technician.

Most everything went very well

This is the first company I’ve called that actually knew how to work on the boiler and how to adjust the pressure monitors. Walter was very knowledgeable in his field and was very informative. He was great to work with and I would highly recommend them.

It was perfect. He is very knowledgeable and conscience when it comes to his work. He very thorough but efficient when it comes to getting the job done. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

The services were great overall! They arrive when they say they will, and the service technicians have all been friendly. They always let you know what’s going on and if there are any problems, they let you know that, too.
