We hired Mold Test Company to conduct post testing on a home damaged by a hurricane. They had the best price point of any of the companies I contacted, but you get what you pay for. After my initial contact with the company, I could not reestablish contact with them for over a week as their phone system was having issues. I was about to hire another company when I received a follow-up call from them. At this point I was advised they were having phone problems and I decided to go ahead and hire them for our testing. The technician that conducted the testing was professional and overall provided a positive experience. We were told that we should receive the results of the test in about 48 hours. It took 11 days and multiple calls and emails to get our results. We were initially provided with an inaccurate report that stated visible mold was found in the home. There was no visible mold in the home so when we asked the analyst about it he stated that some of the information in the report was prepopulated and must not have been changed. While reviewing the results with us,the analyst said he could refer us to a company for further remediation products. We were soon greeted by an unprofessional salesman from the other company trying to sell very overpriced remediation products. Our home is under contract and the lack of professionalism dealing with mold test company may put our sale in jeapordy. At this point, I feel like we will more than likely have to hire another company to conduct the testing again. With all of the miscommunication and lack of attention to detail I fear our test from these guys may not be valid. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for a reputable local company.

This company is taking advantage of people to make money! My home flooded during Hurricane Florence. It has since been remodeled and mold treated on 3 different occasions. I wanted to make sure the mold was gone, so I ordered an air test through Mold Test Company. A few days later someone from the company called to say we had a serious mold problem, including toxic black mold. I thought we may still have some mold, but I found it very hard to believe that our house was still at a dangerous level. Later that day another company called me trying to sell mold treatment services. I declined and got a second opinion. I am so glad we did because the other company found that our mold levels were within normal limits. The people at Mold Test Company are crooks! At least the ones servicing Havelock, NC are. Beware!!! *I would honestly rate this company with 0 stars, but half a star was the lowest I could do.

They were cheaper than a the other companies and did exactly what we asked and tried to keep the price down with extra testing requested Reggie is awesome!!!!!!

Took much longer to get the results than promised. Lost a weeks rental on the beach.

Unbiased, prompt, knowledgeable and an overall pleasant experience for a not so pleasant scenario. Would recommend to anybody even thinking about a mold inspection and testing.

Customer Service is atrocious. I was told I should have lab results 3-5 business days after my home air samples were submitted to the lab. Thus foregoing info that the sample would not be sent to the lab for a week...or so. I waited about 9 days before trying my o get answers. 3 days later and 15+ calls and messages to the tech, lab and HQ, I was finally able to speak with someone about the status of my lab results. I would need to wait several more days.... Only after I told them I would seek resolution with Home Advisor did they finally provide customer service. Magically, my lab report was ready that very day and they would recommend a do it yourself package to o treat my entire home for $2500 as the reports indicated toxic levels of mold. So I go to the website of the treatment company and they have the same package online for $799 with one air scrubber vs 2 scrubbers. If you have nothing better to do with your time and money, this is your best bet. If your family has legitimate health issues due to indoor toxins, call your insurance company. Even if not covered by your insurance, they can point you in the right direction.

Keith was wonderful. He came out the next day and answered all my questions. Peter called me with the results and explained what he saw. The only thing that bothered me was he gave me a phone number of a company for me to talk to. I had not read all the report before they called me. I was not ready to discuss anything until I understood what I was dealing with. I did not go with that company.

Inspector Reggie Saunders was professional and knowledgeable. Gave me a lot of information and explained what he was testing. On time and thorough. I paid 400.00 for full inspection and I hope the lab report is complete. I was impressed

Henry came to our house. He was very knowledgeable about mold and what to look for. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. Peter who called me with the results was very nice and answered my questions. He even called back the next day when he noticed that an email he sent me didn t go through. They gave me a lot of information to help me continue my search to get rid of my mold and poor air flow.

These guys are pro's from the word GO! They answered every question we had. And offered us additional testing for mycotoxins and bacteria. Great job!

Inspector was a bit hard to understand

The guy that came out was honest with us and gave us guidance in how to attack the problem.

I thought he did a good job explaining what he did do but very disappointed they didn't explain that you had to pay a lot extra money to actually find out what kind of mold if any you had. The $199.00 fee they only looked for mold & tested the air quality. If they found any mold it cost a lot more to find out what type. He did say we had mold in our crawl space but not what kind, that cost more money. Overall good for what he did do.

They never informed me about my result. I felt like they cheated my if my money. Bad reviews, credit card company and state licensing board will be notified.
