This company is awesome. Excellent work. They showed up on time and they were very thorough. They did everything we asked them to do and I would highly recommend them.

I called Mr. King because his reviews were positive. He answered promptly but said he was busy with a project, would have to check his calendar and would call me back later that day to set up an appointment. His return call came a day later than promised and he apologized for the delay. We discussed the scope of work and he asked if work would start at the appointed time. I said that I preferred to get an estimate first and allow time to get materials before staring work. We agreed on a date and time for him to stop by to look over the project, but he failed to show up at the promised time or to even to call or leave a text message with a reason he could not make it. I will take my business elsewhere.

What an exceptional experience! I had my listed ready when he arrived. Mr. Richard King worked nonstop for 6 hours to complete all t he items on my listed. He is jack of all trades. Will use him again.

I'm very satisfied with Richard's work. Kept me informed of his arrival time and he was on time. He knew what he was doing. Answered all my questions. He and his helper are hard workers. I gave him a list of things I need done for his next visit which is real soon. It's nice to find compent and knowledge people who know what they are doing. It's nice to have 90% of my Honey Do List completed.

I'm sure the service would have been amazing had I gotten to experience it. He seems to be a nice and really busy man but I feel a customer should not have to chase down a call-back, especially when they have already pre-paid for a service (and volunteered to be called back if he was currently with a customer). This is my first time on Angie's List so I may be using the app wrong by not calling first to verify he would actually be available to schedule a service. Lesson learned. I ended up requesting a refund since its been a full business day and I have not been a priority for a call yet. The deals should communicate that he does not work on the weekends and prefers not to work in the evenings in addition to usually being booked out for a week at a time. That could have saved us both time, money and unfortunately this review that I felt needed to be stated. No hard feelings, just suggestions for new customers who have time sensitive projects. Positives: He did answer the phone each time I called to follow up, he was just too busy with current customers for me to feel comfortable staying on the line. He does sound like a nice person to work with, I just wish we had.

Richard was prompt & professional. He gave me valuable tips on maintenance & care for my house. I learned some things that I didn't know and consider this money well spent.

I got Richard's name through a deal with Allstate Insurance for a home maintenance check. He came out and examined everything in my house and presented me with a list of things that needed attention. I hired him to remove and replace rotted sections of siding on my house and various other minor things. He did a good job - you can't tell the new siding from the rest of the house. He was friendly and courteous, on time, and reasonably priced. I would hire him again for anything that comes up.

Richard responded quickly to my call. I sent him a picture of the project because I wanted him to have a full understanding of the scope before he came over. He was so prompt with every visit. It took a couple of days in a row to complete due to the need to let the mud dry. He was very professional and took pride in a job well done. I chose Richard because he could do the job in a timely manner as well as his price being comparable or better than the others. There were two sections(1 fairly large) that needed new drywall and insulation. His work was superb! We cannot see any seams after he was through with his final mud and sanding. My husband and I chose to paint it ourselves just because we do a lot of that in our home ourselves but Richard's quote for priming and painting was reasonable as well. I recommend Richard and will use him again.... I feel fortunate now to have a go to handyman when one is needed. I also want to say after talking with Richard his scope of expertise was wide. I am waiting for a quote from him to build a pergola down the road.......

I reached out to Richard after reading such great reviews of his work here on Angie's List. I placed a call to Richard very early in the morning and had planned on leaving him a message. I was pleasantly surprised to hear him pick up despite it being so early and he asked how he could help. I explained to him that there were a couple of small jobs that I needed some handy work done on. I told him that these were items recently found on a home inspection and that we needed the work done quickly to satisfy a due diligence period. Richard was extremely pleasant and reassured me that he could perform the work and do it in a timely fashion. Richard made a visit to the house to assess the scope of work needed and I felt that he was VERY knowledgeable and reasonable with his analysis. He made sure to follow the exact instructions from the inspection report. His pricing reflected that -- nothing more, nothing less than what absolutely needed to be done. Very fair. He came back less than a week later and performed the work as promised. He always showed up on time or early for each appointment and was extremely responsive and easy to get a hold of. Furthermore, I was pleased with Richard's professionalism and friendly attitude. Reading some of the reviews on here, it is clear to me that he is this way with EVERY single customer of his. You can tell he takes a tremendous amount of pride in his work and the way that he carries himself. In fact, for a guy who has a "dirty job", he seemed to always be very presentable! He is a hard working, good man who I would trust with any number of handyman jobs around my house.

When I first contacted Richard by phone, just the tone of his voice and his sincere interest in my request gave me a comfortable feeling that he knew exactly what needed to be done and he knew how to do it. And due to my sense of urgency, he would put in extra time between his already scheduled jobs to work on my project. He and his associate showed up on time with the attic ladder and went to work with the installation. In addition, I had a somewhat urgent need to remove 2 sinks and vanities from another home which he did the same day. He is skilled in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work and his experience in many types of jobs is a valuable resource whether I need work done or just advice on a home improvement project. I now have his contact information and I will not hesitate to call him for my next project.

We have used Richard King for a lot of work in our house. We never had any disappointment with him. They've always come in below other people when it comes to pricing. He's hard to get a hold of sometimes due to the amount of his work.

Richard and his helper were amazing. First and foremost they were on time, professional and informative on what they were doing and how they were doing it. When there were options, he presented them and I made the decision. They were very tidy while working and cleaned up when they were done. I had purchased a new bed that was being trucked in. Richard met the driver, inspected the crate, unpacked, assembled and set up the bed for my husband and myself. My husband is disabled, both Richard and his helper were very respectful whenever they were going to do something that may disturb him. We are pleased with all the jobs they did.

I am thrilled with the results. Kings Home Improvement was here when he said he would be, made sure that work was completed to my expectations. Highly recommend.
