It's didn't get past the call

A month after I signed the contract I found out they only spray once a quarter. GREAT. Within 2 weeks of them spraying I was finding live bugs in the house. The guy who initially came over was inappropriate and unprofessional. He basically asked me out which I was applaud, creeped out, and disgusted by. This loser also gave me the whole sales pitch about laying a moisture barrier in my crawlspace. After everything else I've dealt with, I will not hire Terminix to put anything in my basement. After my contract for both the termite and pest control service is up, I will hire a different company to perform these services for me.

June 2005, Terminix was contracted to eliminate a termite infestation at my house, because they have a $25,000.00 guarantee against further damage caused by termites. Everything seemed good. June 2007, they're field jockey came by and told me I needed a dehumidifier under my house because of moisture. He showed me pictures that he took under my house. I told him that repairs to the moisture damaged areas needed to be made first. He had a plan, dehumidifier, and dry out moisture from wood approx. $2500.00 and they could finance. He said no termites were present. I hired a contractor to repair "moisture damage". When he pulled the first floor joist for repair, it was infested with termites. As it turned out this damage around my front porch was never treated by Terminix for termites so they just kept enjoying my floor joists. After $8500.00 worth of repairs to the area around my front porch I was rid of the termites. Terminix said that it was not their responsibility and that their guarantee would not cover the damage repairs. I contacted a lawyer and after another $150.00 I was told it would be almost impossible to recover any money from them, due to the way their contract is written. I cancelled my contract with them and hired a reputible termite exterminator and guess what? He found termites. Fortunately he did eliminate the bugs and I can breath easier, but at the cost of $960.00. Stay away from Terminix.

The home inspector came to my house first to determine if there was a termite infestation. She didn't find any traces of termites but I still said I wanted the prevention package. I paid using my credit card and she called it in through her cell phone. A few days later a different Terminix employee came and actually performed the work I described above. Both employees were very professional and I was highly satisfied with the quality of work. However, I do think $1100 is too expensive for what Terminix provides.

They were great. Very nice, helpful, and on time.

I have used Terminex for about 20 years. The technician called to schedule service several days in advance. The technician arrived promptly as scheduled and performed the pesticide application in a satisfactory manner. He cautioned us about exposing ourselves to the pesticide in the garage until a four-hour period had elapsed. He was polite and professional.

WE HAVE THEM COME OUT SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR BECAUSE OF OUR SERVICE CONTRACT. I AM NOT REAL HAPPY WITH THEM, BUT IT IS HARD TO GET OUT OF THE CONTRACT BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT CAN REPAIR THE TRAPS IF THEY BREAK DOWN.

IT WAS A VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THEY SPRAYED POISON ALL OVER AND GOT IT ALL OVER MY HOME. I ALSO RECEIVED THE IMPRESSION THAT THE TECHNICIAN WAS POORLY TRAINED AND UNDER QUALIFIED.
