Sierra structures was very prompt and professional. They used high quality wood, and the finished product was beautiful. They accommodated our numerous design changes, including on the day they showed up to do the work, since what we had asked for wasn't going to work. Tom was great to work with and very responsive.

Fence looks great. Team was flexible in moving the boundaries of the fence to maximize property lines and navigate in between trees. Structure is very sound and the entry gates work flawlessly. Very pleased with the fence.

The estimator was excellent and provided great insight. The estimate was received very quickly and provided excellent details on work that would be performed. Their price was competitive; however, I went with another company. From what I saw from Sierra, I'm pretty sure that they would have done an excellent job. I'll keep them in mind for any future work.

I really wanted to install a fence on my own but I am glad that I did not. The team from Sierra Structures were great. They came out multiple times to measure and double measure and make sure they understood exactly what we wanted. The install team was fantastic. They put up our fence in two days. There were quick, neat, and precise. Our fence looks fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone.

The new fence was installed well and looks great. They started on the day they committed to begin the work. The crew that installed the fence was super accommodating, worked very hard, removed all the debris when done, and did an excellent overall job.

It was good. I had no problems with them. They installed a fence without telling me first. I had no chance to approve or disapprove it. I don't know when they came or when they left. I wouldn't recommend them with them to anybody. It was an excellent price.

I made an appointment for an estimate to repair my fence, wooden flat patio, and screened porch. The person scheduling the appointment was polite and professional. The estimator arrived on time but spent only 5 minutes at my home. He seemed annoyed the entire time. I felt like the work I was asking for wasn't a big enough job or wasn't worth his time. I even gave him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was just having a bad day. But then I had to email him a few days later for the estimate when I hadn't received it. Further, when I asked for clarification about an item on the estimate, I got a one line response and then no response to a second question.

They were very professional and communicated well at all stages of the process. Jody was patient and thorough when he came out to give us an estimate, and was extremely helpful throughout the process. The office called to schedule me, which was very quickly after we agreed on services, but we had to reschedule due to snow/weather. They got us back on the schedule about a week later and came out exactly when scheduled. The gentleman who did the work was by himself but he was an amazing worker and provided excellent quality. He was very professional and punctual, getting the entire fence installed in less than three days (the back yard is just over a quarter of an acre). He had to reset a couple of posts because the weather didn't allow the concrete to set properly, and had some special concrete that he used which worked beautifully. He also lowered a fence and post when I asked, which required him to dig it down. He also cleared out an overgrown area in the back where I wanted the fence to go, but other contractors told me they could or would not do it. He did a wonderful job. The quote I received from them was by far the most reasonable, they were the quickest to respond to my requests, and the quality of the work was excellent. I am very pleased with them and will use them again when I'm ready to install a deck and patio!

They were great. First they were the only one that came out promptly and did the quote right away. They showed up on time and did a great job. It's been several months and the gates and fence all still look and work well. Also they did a little better job on one of the fence patricians than I expected so I feel they went a little above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Called to schedule someone to come out for a pool fence estimate. Lady was very nice on the phone and gave me their first available appointment. I received a confirmation email of said appointment and when appointment time came I waited and waited. Finally I called them to see what happened. They said it appeared I wasn't on the schedule and that there had been some mix up and blamed themselves. First lady set up another appointment the next day (Tuesday). I then received another call from the original lady that set up first appointment and said that they had a meeting back at their office during that time and he couldn't make it so she made another appointment for two days later (Thursday). She was very apologetic blaming herself so I decided to let it go and just wait the two days. Wednesday I get yet another call telling me that he cannot make that appointment for Thursday but could come late Friday or Monday. This is where "Great" customer service should come into play... offer your prospective client something for all this trouble. The lady said nothing when I told her to just forget it. Why would I want to hire someone so unreliable. When it is clearly the companies fault for missing an appointment, you find a way to make it happen sooner than later! I'm Disappointed and wasted time and effort.

They arrived when scheduled and worked until late in the day for two days making certain that everything was done properly - they built a superlative fence that looks great and is beyond what i had expected. Sierra Structures was slightly higher on its bid then another vendor but I chose to use them because I believed they would provide a higher level of service and quality. They were accommodating in meeting the time schedule I requested and the estimator was responsive and enjoyable to work with. I was also ensure the installers were the most experienced they had. During installation, the installers were an hour late each day, failed to acknowledge me when I greeted them, and failed to notify me when they cut through the utility feed to my house. The installers placed one post over the marked cable/internet cable, cutting it, and another post over the marked electric cable, fortunately not cutting it. We were then with out cable/internet service for 6 days. This is gross negligence in my opinion and a serious safety concern any homeowner should be aware of. The lack of understanding of under ground utility policy and safety can be seen in the owner's response to this review. As on October of 2014, the tolerance zone for underground excavation is 24" and not 30". 30 inches was the previous tolerance zone. In addition, by policy to dig within this 24" tolerance zone the contractor must visually identify the utility prior to using mechanized equipment. If Sierra Structures had followed North Carolina Law or even known it, the utility would not have been cut. Upon the installers returning, I again attempted to greet them and was ignored. I would have assumed they would apologize for cutting the cable/internet wire. The quality of fencing and installation was average at best. I would not again hire Sierra Structures and my initial perception of the value it would provide for the additional cost was proven wrong. I am very disappointed in this provider.

A 46' section of my old fencing was falling in due to previously poor drainage, so I was anxious to get it replaced quickly. I got a few estimates, which were all in the same ballpark, but I really liked the look of the options that Sierra offered and thought it was a very fair price for what I wanted. Kenny got an estimate together almost immediately, and they were able to schedule the work in a very reasonable amount of time. The crew arrived as scheduled on the morning of the job and completed the entire project, cleaned every single thing up, and were gone by the time I got home from work. My new fence is solid as a rock. I got the capped style, which looks REALLY nice and much more polished than the more plain versions--even for a standard wooden privacy fence. I love it! I have dogs and so do my neighbors, so it was very important to have a solid fence between our yards. This exceeded my expectations, and I will be using Sierra Structures in the future to replace the rest of my existing fencing to match.

Excellent service, entire installation in one day about 2 weeks after order placed (as soon as fencing arrived). Looks fantastic, built to last. Very courteous, professional, efficient yet also meticulous. The best of the best!

Sierra used premium-grade ?decking? boards, and all other lumber is #2-grade (or better) pressure-treated pine (MCQ). The decking screws, fasteners and hardware are galvanized. The railings are black aluminum Deckorator balusters. Sierra obtained the required building permits and coordinated necessary inspections. The carpenters / workmen were professional, hardworking, and a happy bunch. I enjoyed the music they listened to while working . . . and especially the ?singing carpenter.? He has a nice voice! The crew tore down the old deck and quickly removed the debris. During demolition, some of my cedar siding was damaged. So, I purchased a piece of siding, and the carpenters replaced the damaged wood. The building code required that the crew install footings underneath the existing concrete slab. After lots of digging, they poured concrete in the required locations, without damaging the slab. Working like a well-oiled machine, the carpenters finished the main portion of the deck in 3 days, but county inspections and rainy weather delayed the completion of the rest of the deck. The building code also required that Sierra bolt the second-story deck to the house, which was an unwelcome surprise and resulted in time consuming complications. (Oh, well!) Workmen cut two large holes in my office ceiling so that the bolts could be installed. Eventually, the holes were sealed, and the ceiling surface sprayed. The walls near the ceiling required painting due to a ?white haze? that drifted during the spraying process. The dust and mess was quite disruptive . . . but the house will fall down before the deck does! While I am very pleased with the way the deck looks and its quality, I have concerns about the functionality of the under-the-deck roof and water drainage off the slab. I would have preferred to: ? have the roofing extend outside the lattice so that any leaves, airborne seeds, etc., could be washed off the roof and that the water would not drip down the lattice. ?not have boards flush against the concrete slab, restricting water flow at one end of the slab and making it more difficult to wash leaves, dirt, etc. off the slab. Time will tell whether my concerns are justified . . . but overall, I?m pleased with the deck and gladly recommend Sierra to others.

Matt was quick and responsive whenever I contacted him. He also came in cheaper than all the other companies that I contacted. However, the crew that he sent was very unprofessional. They didn't speak English well. They dug a hole through my sprinkler system and left part of the pipe sticking up through the concrete against the fence post, in which they covered up with dirt. Part of the broken PVC pipe was thrown in the woods on the other side of my fence. The worst part is they never even told me. I didn't even see it until the next day when I put my sprinklers on saw water gushing out of the back of my yard. Upon inspection, I saw the broken pipe sticking out of the concrete. I understand they are not responsible if they dig through an irrigation system that wasn't properly marked, but how about some common courtesy to let me know that you busted a pipe. Nails were also scattered everywhere, which is very dangerous since I have 3 small children and 2 dogs that are constantly running around the back yard. One of the workers even knocked on the door to borrow a hammer. How can you be a fence installer and not have a hammer? However, after contacting Matt about these issues, he came out to take a look at what I mentioned. He did apologize and stated that this is not how he operates his business and he would take it up with his guys. He also sent them back out to clean up all the nails scattered through my yard, as well as re-reimbursed me for the cost to repair my broken sprinkler pipe. Which is why I gave a B rating. In the end, Matt made it right. I have had a lot of compliments on my fence, and I have had it over a year now and no issues. If it weren't for the poor professionalism of the workers that came to install the fence, I would have given an A.

I found everyone who worked at Sierra to be professional and courteous. After the completion of the initial job which was done very well we needed them to come out for some quick emergency work and they were able to make it happen. I was pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.

There was a wait list to get the job scheduled, but the job was completed the day scheduled as promised. The fence looks good.

I needed a fencing solution in my backyard but didn't want to tamper with the greenery and feel of openness or spend money I didn't have on something more than I needed. Sierra responded quickly to a request for a free consult and Jody was very helpful in providing me with his professional advice while still trying to find an affordable solution. Once we came up with a design that worked and made some choices and signed an agreement, they were able to get to the work within a few weeks and finished the job in one day. The crew was professional, orderly and helpful with questions. They cleaned up everything they brought and were a pleasure to work with. Excellent work all around.

Matt is the dream professional. He got us a quote in a few hours, answered every email within hours, every phone calls instantaneously, and provided guidance and feedback throughout the whole project. Project went like in a dream: on time, without issue or complications that we could sense. For every phase, Matt told us what would happen, and when, and although he had to sync with a mason and an electrician, things went exactly how and when he said. The result is perfect, the gate is beautiful, elegant and very functional, a pleasure.

I'm in need of a privacy fence, and did what you're doing now. Researched on Angielist. Found Sierra Structures and read the positive reviews, so I contacted them. They responded rather curtly, asking for my address. I provided the information, then? Nothing. I wrote to them making sure they received my previous email? Nothing. I wrote them again requesting a response and stated I would need to post this experience on Angielist if nothing was heard? Nothing. Hence my review. (Update: Sierra contacted me and explain the issue. I hope the gentleman feels better. I've also updated my review)

The railing project was not your typical railing application. There was a 2 ft knee wall on the deck. The new railing had to be placed on top of the knee wall. By simply placing the new system on the knee wall the railing would have been 5 to 6 feet tall. Matt (co-owner) figured out haw to shorten the railing system so it would not be too tall and look attractive. The railing system we chose was with stainless steel cable. We are extremely happy with the finished product. The workers who did the installation were extremely professional. They cleaned up afterwards. Fully swept the decks. I would use this company again.

Had two slight problems with installation. Company was fantastic in reacting and fixing the problems. Would definitely use again.
