Description of Work: My husband called to get an estimate and the receptionist told him that they were very busy and behind schedule and did not think they were taking on any more work. So we called Bakers Roofing.

Description of Work: The company removed an old shingle roof (two layers)and replaced with new architectural, top quality guarantee shingles Oct-Nov,2013. Installed ridge vent, removed old skylight and replaced with new one at same time. Replaced water-rotted sheathing.Pickard also later replaced old guttering with new larger guttering, May 2015. Company coordinated its work with carpenters doing repairs and upgrades on the roof areas on both projects. Very happy with the results on both projects:workmanship,time promises, quality of materials and warranties. Quoted prices honored, and were somewhat above some estimates but still competitive.Pickard has been in business for decades and our experience says why. Expect to be put on a moderately-long waiting list; they are busy.

Description of Work: They came out to look at our atrium roof gave advice and prepared a free estimate. |Then came out and constructed and installed a metal roof cap that fits the top of our atrium roof perfectly. We have seen no leakage at all since it was installed. Problem solved.

Description of Work: Removed two layers of old shingles, a number of plywood sheets, replaced roofing segments and reshingled roof; removed and replaced skylight. Efficient, left clean yard each day and at end of work, pleasant and very hard working roofers. Have had no problems to date with results-- no leaks.

 + -1 moreWhen I say, supposed to what I mean is that they came out three different times to try and fix the roof, but were unsuccessful. I actually didn't pay them anything, because they were not able to properly fix the problem. I ended up just hiring someone else to take care of the roof.

 + -1 moreThe workers were very courteous-- they cleaned up at the end of each day and were careful with my landscaping. The job was finished on time, and the staff person was very responsive. I also appreciated getting a detailed estimate, so I knew exactly what I was paying for and how long the roof is under warranty. I got 2 other estimates, and no other company provided this information. I was very pleased with the final product even though I think Pickard may be more expensive, but the quality was worth it.
