Overall did okay, just wasn't overly impressed since I could have bought a new dishwasher and had it installed for a little more $ and a lot less wait

Before contacting D and H, we called the appliance store where the dishwasher was purchased and were advised to contact Dand H, an authorized Bosch repair service. Then I checked Angie's List and reviewed the multiple high recommendations for this company. I was pleased that Angie's List was also running a Big Deal on an appliance diagnosis with Dand H. The owner came to my home promptly, diagnosed the problem as with the water pump, and replaced the pump. When I called back a few days later with the dishwasher again not working, the owner promptly returned (with his teenaged son) and spent the time necessary to determine what else could be causing the problem. This entailed pulling the built-in dishwasher away from the wall thereby exposing damage to the wiring from rodent chewing and an opening through which rodents likely gained access. The owner and his son repaired the wiring and then placed a hard covering over the opening. We paid Dand H at the first visit and the owner said there would be no charge for the second visit. However, we felt that the services provided warranted additional compensation. Finally, the owner and his son were pleasant and professional and kept us informed about what was happening. Mr. Morton explained that his father had started the company and taught him the trade as he was now teaching his own son. We would highly recommend Dand H for large appliance repairs.

My fridge stopped cooling over Thanksgiving weekend. I sent an email and Hugh Morton responded by email that they would be open Monday. They came first thing Tuesday am and fixed it. They were professional and courteous and prompt. They called before arriving.They cleaned up the mess. Others I called ddn't respond or could not look at it for another week or so.

They were punctual and very courteous. They did a great job at the repair and I would highly recommend them. I am going to call them again to do other work.

It took a while to get the two parts. Installation went well.

Not many companies service LG refrigerators, so I had taken to e-mailing Angie's List's recommended to see if they did. Almost immediately after my e-mail, he replied saying he did. I described the problem, and he set up the appointment to come by the next day. He was quick and efficient, diagnosed the problem, ordered the replacement part, and was back two days later to replace it.

It was good. It took them longer than I wanted but he had to drive a long way and he fixed it and it was not too expensive. He also told my husband where we could get a cheap part to fix something else but I don't remember what it was. We would call them again except we got rid of the old washer and have the new front load kind which I don't like as well because they keep beeping all the time telling you to come do something. A friend told me she bought some used applicances which were the simple kind and I wish we had done that too.

I have used D and H (4) times over the last (5) years with good success. Sometimes hard to get ahold of but compared to other appliance guys I find D and H honest and not one to overcharge. Hugh came right out as scheduled and very quickly diagnosed the compressor. I hated to hear the bad news but I was out only $65, a competative charge.

I called them to fix my gas range and my refrigerator. The guy who came out fixed the refrigerator. He then looked at the stove and suspected that he knew what was wrong with the stove, but he didn’t have the parts. He told us many things and he also said that he didn’t know if it would work. He didn’t really say the kind of things that you want to hear. It made me feel like he didn’t know what he was doing. I think he did know what he was doing, but he was kind of not making positive statements about what he was doing. He did make the refrigerator work, but he didn’t fix the stove. They were supposed to order a part for the stove, but they never called me back to tell me that they had the part. In fact, I need to call them this week to see if they have ordered it or if they remember what they were supposed to do. They told me that they would put the part on my stove when they come back and they said that they wouldn’t charge me for it if that wasn’t it. He also told me that he would work on the refrigerator if it stopped working. So I felt that he needs customer service education. They were supposed to come on a certain day, but they never showed up and then they had to reschedule it. When they finally came out, they did come out at the time they said they would come. The guy who came out wasn’t very professional. I would call them up and see if they have got the part for the stove. If they have it, then I will let them come and fix it. They did have some good comments online.

They were nice, the fee was reasonable, and they did everything they said they will.

He was a few minutes early. The thing that I was so impressed with is that he came with the part that he anticipated that was needed. He was able to fix it on the spot.
