When our Bosch dishwasher stopped working, we decided to go with the approach of utilizing our home warranty to save money. The home warranty company connected us with D & H Appliance to come out and fix our dishwasher for a flat fee of $100. The technician from D&H Appliance diagnosed the issue as needing a water valve replacement which had to be ordered. The technician stated that it would be 7-10 business days for them to order and install the part. This initial estimate was surprising in that it would take several weeks to get our dishwasher fixed but we went ahead with the order and just hoped it would be fixed sooner. Around business day 6 we called the company to check in our status as we hadn't heard anything from the company. During the call we learned that the only person responsible for part ordering was out sick and there was nobody else that could help us until the next day. We called the next day and learned that the associate who could have helped us was called into work for another job. This was very concerning to us because not only were we unable to get any status of if our parts had been ordered, but the associate that possibly knew that information decided to go into another job that day. Over the next several days we called to try and find someone that could give us information and nobody could. At minimum I would have expected a call from a manager explaining their part associate was out unexpectedly but that they were doing everything possible to make sure we get your dishwasher fixed on time. We were the ones who kept checking in on the status as people never followed up on our calls. Given that nobody knew what was going on, we finally asked to speak with the owner of the company, Donald, around business day 8 to see if he could provide some insight into the situation. Donald never returned our call. We continued to call and on Day 10 we were told that Donald would call us the next morning. By that time, the associate responsible for parts had returned to the office and told us that our parts were ordered and should have been in toward the end of that week (business day 14). The next day, Hugh, another manager called us back. Hugh was extremely unprofessional, to the point of using inappropriate language toward us during the conversation. Normally you would expect an upset customer to use language, not one of the managers of the company toward a customer. We made it very clear at the beginning of the conversation that we were unhappy with the situation and wanted to walk him through the events that occurred. It was very clear that Hugh could care less about our service and gave us all kinds of excuses (e.g., sometimes it takes hours for us to talk with insurance people). He even mentioned it could sometimes take a month to get everything installed, it just depends. He was not trying to restore any type of confidence or customer loyalty toward his business. Finally on business day 12, Donald, the owner of the company came out and installed our part which did fix our dishwasher. Unfortunately there wasn't any discount or apology made toward the unprofessionalism used by Hugh. It is very sad that a local company acted this way. We will not be using this company again or recommending it to anyone.Even though the cost was much less than other companies, the unprofessionalism and lack of customer experience/respect, has caused us to want to pay more money at places like Sears to get the job done.

D & H Appliance was a pleasure to work with. When our Bosch dishwasher stopped working 3 months after installation, we were not looking forward to having to schedule a repair. However, Jessica was extremely friendly when booking our appointment and very accommodating to our schedules. On the day of scheduled service, the repairman was prompt and gave us a call about 30 minutes beforehand when he was on his way. This gave us plenty of time to return home to meet him and we didn't have to spend all day waiting around. He was efficient and very professional and got the machine working quickly. We would use D & H Appliance again and highly recommend them to other customers.

D and H called me back quickly and scheduled a time for the service man to come to my house in the next day or two. They said that he would call when he was on his way. He did, and he arrived early in the 3-hour block of time scheduled. He took care of the problem with my washing machine for what I think is a quite reasonable price. He was very pleasant and professional. If I have another problem with a large appliance, I won't hesitate to call D and H.
Description of Work: Looked at my washing machine and figured out why it was leaking water each time I ran it.

Long story short, this was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever dealt with. A neighbor recommended their services, and I wish I had done some further investigating before calling them. They have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau and their online reviews are terrible. Their (very friendly and personable) technician came out to look at my machine but couldn't diagnose it. Since it was a recurring problem, I told him what was wrong and even gave him the paperwork about what specific part to order. From there, it's a blur of nobody returning my calls, but having the time to send me nasty notes in the mail, and altering invoice paperwork to say I owed them money. I disputed the $65 and quot;diagnosticand quot; charge and won, and eventually reported them to the BBB. Save yourself the trouble, and go with someone more reputable.

Called this provider to get a front load washer repaired. Even though they had a B rating, I really needed someone to come due to a leak in my house. On this site, it says that they offer services on Saturday, however, when I called I was informed that they do not work on Saturday. If you are looking for weekend service, do not call this company.

See the above. They are misleading in their practice. . they failed to substantiate their billing. I will not recommend their services.
Description of Work: service call to diagnose a problem with my dishwasher. After he provided a look see and some minor adjustments, he gave me a bill for service call of $65.00 and $35.00 for parts which I did not see or according to the technician who could not find anything wrong wirhh the dishwasher, charged me $35.00 for parts. I guess the use of his screwdriver could be counted as a part. I am glad he is listed here. I wish I had reviewed his reviews prior to calling this service. He was a manufacture recommended provider. I would reccomend that if you use this service be very careful with their billing. I guess that they should just say that they are going to charge a $100.00 service charge. I would steer you away from them unless you have time to watch them and question everything.

9/30/13: Call to request a technician to come look at the appliances 10/1/13: Don came to the house; made an adjustment to the dishwasher to get it working again, and looked at the washing machine to determined what parts were needed. Paid $100 for the visit. 10/3/13: Called Dand H to see if they had an estimate on the parts yet. No, had not gotten the pricing yet. They called back later in the day: Estimate: Main Control Board $171.91, Drain Motor $106.65, Labor $90, + tax total estimate $389.45. Ask them to go ahead and order the parts. Gave them my credit card to charge for down payment on the parts. $280 . 10/10/13: Called to check on the status of the parts. Control Board was on order, should be delivered within five days and the control board was on back order. No telling how long it will be before it comes in. Parts were being ordered directly from Fisher and Paykel in New Zealand. I checked on line for the parts and found them available for delivery overnight for a better price. I exchanged several phone calls with Dand H about getting the parts from another source and cancelling the order for the others, and asked to speak to the technician. I was told he would call me back. 10/11/13 no return call 10/14/13 left another message, no return call 10/15 13 no return call 10/16 13 Don returned my call but I missed it. His message said to call and let them know if I was going to order the parts so they could cancel their order. When I called back a little while later, Pam answered the phone. I asked to talk to Don about the parts that were on back order. She put me on hold a few seconds and then came back to say that there was no way they could tell me when those parts would be coming in. When I tried to explain what I wanted to do, she cut me off and said and quot;You are full of crap and you are threatening me with these phone calls.and quot; Click. I immediately called my bank and disputed the charge to my credit card. I sent a fax to Dand H to cancel the parts and the request for their service. I ordered the parts from letstalkparts.com (Drain pump $99.99 and Control Board $147.15, plus tax and shipping total $284.52). Parts were on my door step the next night (10/17). I called Mr. Appliance (local owner Asktok Patel) and he came on Saturday to install the parts. Washing machine is working great. This was one of the most ridiculous and unpleasant experiences I've had with a repair service. I highly recommend letstalkparts.com for parts. They were also helpful over the phone when I called to verify the parts were in stock. And I'm also happy to recommend Asktok Patel with Mr. Appliance. He has provided other appliance repairs for us prior to this one. I'll call him first next time.
Description of Work: Provider was asked to perform repairs on Jenn-Air dishwasher and Fisher and Paykel washing machine. Call them because they were listed as a certified technician for Fisher and Paykel appliances (there were only a couple in the area) and because of some favorable reviews on Angie's List.

They repaired my front load washing machine. I was very pleased with them. The technician explained to me that the appliance I had was a good one, and that there was probably a coin or a small object caught in the filter. He fixed it in under a half an hour, and found a small piece of wicker from laundry basket. I was very happy with them, I saved their number, and I will definitely be using them again.

The phone associate was polite and professional and scheduled the service call the soonest she could, within 2 days. When Hugh came out he asked me to describe the problem, which was that the washer would fill with water but then not run in any cycle. He quickly diagnosed a bad lid switch. He gave me 2 options for a fix and I went with the quicker, less expensive one, which he completed in a few minutes. Good experience. Will certainly call them again.

The guy they sent out was very knowledgeable. Despite not knowing the brand of dishwasher before they came out, he seemed to know just about everything about it (a 10-ish year old Bosch). Pretty impressive.

Hugh gets high points for professionalism and honesty. He could have sold me on hiring him for more work, but he told me I didn't need him: First -- Hugh diagnosed the dishwasher problem and said, and quot;You could hire us to fix it, but you'd be better off buying a new dishwasherand quot;. Second -- He diagnosed the noisy disposal problem and told me, and quot;It's working fine. The noise is mostly corrosion from lack of use over the last year. Run a few cups of ice through it and you'll knock the noise right out. Just don't try to watch the ice do its work! Bits can fly out of the drain and hurt you.and quot; And guess what, he was right. I ran a few cups of ice through the thing and it quietened down just like he said it would. Bonus points -- Hugh is also friendly, good-humored, and ready to explain things to curious homeowners like me who want to understand what's wrong (or not) and why.

Don came and determined the dishwasher problem was caused by a blockage that wasn't removed when the disposal was installed.He took care of that. The icemaker valve needed replacing because of a leak. We do not use the icemaker, so we did not opt to replace it. However, we got the ice removed from around the fan in the freezer (causing the hum) and got the icemaker turned off so as not to cause future costly repairs. ONCE AGAIN GREAT SERVICE FROM THIS COMPANY.
Description of Work: I had a dishwasher problem - the water was not draining out after the cycle....My fridge also started making a humming noise.

This company is just terrible although the lady I spoke to on the phone was nice I never received any service on my drier and I haven't even received a phone call after nobody showed up at my house at the scheduled appointment. I guess if I want to dry my clothes I would be better off going to the laundromat then depend on these jokers to show up.
Description of Work: I purchased a service call with this company through the Angie's List "Big Deal" on Sunday, January the 12th because my drier was no longer working. Monday, I called D and H Appliance and ask them if they received an email from Angie's List. They lady that I spoked to said "yes" and we made an appointment for the following Wednesday. I took off work that Wednesday to meet the appliance repair man. I waited and waited and I waited some more and the appliance repair man never showed up and I never received a call. Here it is Saturday, January the 21st and I still haven't received a call or anything at all, and here I am calling Angie's List trying to get my money back while at the same time I haven't been able to do any laundry for about a week.

Wow - I am completely shocked by the bad service I received. I have never been treated with such disregard from a company before. I called on a Monday about my microwave and made an appointment for Wednesday afternoon to have it fixed. I sat at home all afternoon waiting for them to come. I called around 3 pm to see what their status was. The receptionist said that the serviceman went to Burlington to fix a refrigerator and she would call me back to let me know when he was going to make it. I got no call back that day. I called the 8:30 am next morning to see if I could be put first on the list since they missed me the previous day. This is what the receptionist said - "Well, he is all booked up this morning, I will ask him when he comes in." No apologies. Nothing. It is 12 : 30 now, and I haven't received a call back from the receptionist. I guess they have decided that they don't want my business. I have called another appliance company.
