The owner came on-site in our initial meeting, where we presented our need to him of improving the drainage in our backyard to drain away from our house, as well as implementing grass that would fit our needs. He was insightful on how to best grade the area and which type of grass to use, based on given factors of our location, amount of sun, wear and tear we put in the yard, etc. He then provided a reasonable quote which we accepted, and was able to answer questions as they came up. Once the work was agreed upon, the scheduling process shifted once or twice, being moved back due to other jobs they were working on. Unfortunately this meant their best day was one where we were out of town, but we determined they knew the direction we were trying to go in. Upon the initial installation, we found that there were still a few spots that were missed and the work did not meet our expectations. The grading took place only underneath where the sod was placed and did not extend up against the house, and there were a few areas where sod was not placed. We would have preferred any areas needing further explanation would have been covered with us directly during the installation. The owner set aside a second appointment time to remedy the areas we determined they missed, but again we were not able to be present on the scheduled day, and in that appointment fixed some of the grading and added sod in most of the spots we felt they missed. As the grading against the house had still not been completed, we worked with Accent to complete the grading and clean our patio fountain. For this final appointment, we were present and did help provide direction into what we were looking for. The end result from that turned out very well and we were very pleased. Overall, we still have some areas we are needing to cover with sod, which we will take care of when seasons allow. In conclusion, the work that was done met our expectations, though it took a few appointments to get it right. I would recommend Accent on Landscape for any landscaping project, but would emphasize to try and be present on the start of installation, so that the crew implementing the work is clear on expectations.

His approach was considerate of our budget; his estimate was detailed. The quality of the sod was topnotch; very fresh, and the crew did an excellent job of installing it. He is very knowledgable, rapid to respond to calls and emails, and a pleasure to talk with. We've had heavy rain on three occasions, just in the two weeks since the work was done, and no more standing water! Before the work was done, even a moderate rain would have left us in a couple of inches of mud, for days.

The company was completely professional and knowledgeable. It was a relief to find a company who understood what was needed to fix the wall so that it would last. We were worried about the cost of repairing the wall and were very pleased at how reasonable it was, considering the project. They were very prompt, worked hard and left no mess behind. We are very pleased!

They came and looked up the yard and then drew up a plan with details of what I should be planting here and there. It was fine. They were very nice and good. They were very efficient.

Very well. The outcome was excellent. The only challenge was timing. There were some broken and changed appointments and I still have not had one minor problem fixed.

I had been planning this project for more than a year, and had trouble finding someone who would do the work to my specifications at a reasonable price. I finally chose Rob because he seemed knowledgeable, gave me a reasonable estimate, and was willing to work with what had become a tight schedule.The work provided by him and his crew was top-notch, and I can't say enough about how easy they were to work with. They were very flexible, and were willing to do the work the way I wanted it done, even though that meant reworking some aspects, changing things, and adding to the scope. The work was completed in a reasonable timeframe even with the severely challenging weather we've had this spring.Rob is fantastic to work with, and does excellent work. I highly recommend him for your next landscaping project.I wish I could show you pictures - my backyard is an oasis now!

Rob and his people did a great job and we're very happy with the result. The work did take much longer than estimated and we found that developing a punch list of work still to be performed was necessary. Rob is a very nice, friendly person and we'll work with him again.

We had rotting railroad ties for steps going down the side of our house and another set of rotting railroad ties steps going into the lower backyard. Rob removed the rotted ties and replace them plus add concrete on each step and put a matching third set of steps. We are very happy with the results.

Rob Grubb and his crew, including Pablo, did a magnificent job transforming our harsh nonexistent landscape into a beautiful green oasis. We had only rudimentary ideas of what we wanted to accomplish and Robb took our simple ideas and turned them into more than we could have dreamed of. From the laying of the sod to the cultivating and mulching of planting beds, all tasks were completed with professionalism, an eye to design and on time. Our lawn is now the talk of the neighborhood. We would gladly recommend Robb to anyone looking for a qualified, professional landscaper. He is courteous, professional and competitively priced. We definitely got more bang for our buck than we anticipated. Thanks Rob, Pablo and crew for a job VERY well done!

Rob Grubb is a true professional and a gentleman. It's a complete delight working with him. He has good ideas of his own but also is a good listener to your ideas and will incorporate them into the design or gently explain to you why they won't work. Our yard was a complete mess before they started working. They connected the downspouts to rigid PVC drain tile that they ran to to far edge of our property to move water away from the foundation. Then they graded the lot, also to move water away. Rob designed 2 retaining walls and a paver walkway and patio to complement our sloped lot, and his employee Pablo did a beautiful job of building it all; we've received many compliments on how nice it looks. We also had them build a parking area for us and a concrete pad extending the driveway. We ran out of budget and never did get to the landscaping Rob designed for us, but we intend to call him back when we're ready for that part of it. Great people, honest, responsive. Fantastic job. Highly recommend. Call him; you won't regret it.
