ACCENT ON LANDSCAPE

I brought in several landscape companies to review my problem with irrigation and to make recommendations. Rob Grubb and his company provided the easiest and most straight forward solution. He was very responsive and his solution took care of the problem. He did not try to oversell me on anything I did not need. His team came out in one day and 90% finished the project. I trust his expertise and knowledge. I would definitely use Accent on Landscape again for another project.

Beautifully. The team from Accent on Landscape arrived everyday by 8:00 am, worked hard all day, were super friendly and focused on the task at hand. The charge matched the quote exactly and the patio is beautiful. It's also worth noting that the owner of the company answered my initial call on the first try, scheduled a visit to provide an estimate within days, gave me an exact timeframe when the work would be done, and stuck with it. A great experience all around.

Excellent. Rob's team arrived as promised. Pablo's and Angel's attention to detail to ensure the job was done to my satisfaction was appreciated. The team was very easy to work when reviewing the project and offered many creative solutions to address the issues that we had with drainage due to the slope of our entire yard.

Great! Robb Grubb and his crew were very responsive to our preferences. Robb corresponded quickly to all our suggested changes. The crew that built our stoop was also very patient with our changes. All around a very pleasant experience.

Rob and his team did a great job building our patio. It is elevated off the ground, has a nice fire pit at ground level, and has a waterfall and pond. There is also accent lighting in the steps and sitting walls that make it look great. We did have one issue communicating on the desired height of the patio but Rob and his team re-did some of the work to deliver per my request. In the end what they delivered exceeded my expectations. They also did an excellent job with the drainage of the patio. It slopes away from the house properly and there are no puddles or streams even during a hard rain, despite some contours that could otherwise be problematic. Pablo did a great job designing the pond area, stone by stone. He is a true artist. The work has been in for more than half a year so far and we are excited to start up our second season on the patio. I would definitely work with Rob again, and have recommended him to several others already.

Rob does beautiful work. We have enjoyed everything he's installed in our backyard and always love how a new project turns out. Our outdoor space is truly another room of our home that we enjoy using. As well, visitors to our home regularly comment about how beautiful our backyard looks. We are happy to speak with any prospective clients to talk about why we always hire Rob to help make our yard look as beautiful as it can be.

Excellent! I had a plan done by a landscape architech which they followed but Rob was so helpful in making suggestions on how to tweak the plan. He worked right along with his employees to make sure things were done exactly to my liking. He called daily to inform me of any delays due to weather and always responded immediately when I contacted him.

Went well Team was diligent in getting the work done Rob has great background and eye for landscaping.

I have always found all of the staff very professional and the work is done in a timely manner. What I appreciate most is occasionally I forget to remind my children to clean up before a mowing day. They end up leaving balls lying scattered around the yard and the crew has always taken the time to move them to the side before mowing. Sometimes it's the little things in life.

I asked Accent a question over Angie's list and they didn't have the service I needed, but took time out to find a company that could, and provide me with a phone number. I had tried finding the same info but was having a lot of trouble. It is companies like this that go beyond the everyday pay customers, and it truly shows they are a company that is out to help the customer! I will be using them in the future for sure!

We originally went to the Raleigh Home Show and requested quotes from a number of landscaping companies. Some were so busy they couldn't even bother with quotes so we immediately scratched those. Of the five companies that offered quotes, Rob was the best by far. One company was double Rob's price!! For us price was extremely important so we hired Rob last Fall to replace a 12X15 concrete patio with a 43X15 patio made of pavers. We also added two seat walls on the corners of the patio to give some accent and lighting. Rob was patient and helpful working with us to select pavers and wall stone. The patio came out very nice and we're looking forward to using it this coming Summer. I doubt you'll find another landscape contractor that will be as accommodating as Rob..!

I am writing this 10 years after they completed the work and the quality was so high, that it still looks as good as it did after the initial installation. Very professional, listens to what you are requesting, helps with improvements and gets the work done on time and no budget

Rob was responsive and very helpful. He helped us modify the design, made great suggestions for materials and design.

Came to our home late in September 2014.Listened to what we prioritized for improving landscaping, Had some good suggestions. The visit went well. Owner agreed to draw up a design plan and then once we had agreement, work would begin. We weren't in a big hurry, but it really shouldn't have taken over 3 months to receive a design (the $89 we paid for) A lot of back and forth e-mailing, with us usually reminding him. When we finally received the design, it was just O.K. Some of the things we had asked for were there, but many weren't taken into consideration. So basically we paid $89 for the service call. We plan to use some of the suggestions for plantings and do it ourselves, so feel we got some value for our money I wouldn't say don't work with this company. Like one previous poster said owner may get overwhelmed with the administrative details during busy spring and fall seasons. .

The design included: a 40ft retaining wall, paving stones, extension of irrigation system, landscape lighting, a drainage area, sod, mulch, and several shrubs. Ground needed to be cleared and graded. Robb provided excellent suggestions, was cost conscious, responsive to changes we wanted, and started and finished the project on time and under budget. Moreover, he personally oversaw and managed the project and was there every day. Throughout, his workers were most courteous, neat, and mitigated any damage or mess created by all this work. In fact, afterwards, they power washed my driveway to remove some dirt. Rob followed up this spring to ensure that all the shrubs and sod survived the winter, and came by to ensure that the stepping (paving) stones were properly settled in the ground and added soil & seed where necessary. I strongly recommend Rob and his crew and will certainly call on him for my next outdoor project!

We received the final approval on the drawing. It took towards the end of September to get an approval. I contacted him with a 'go-a-head' and had previously had an estimate but with the adjustments we made I wanted to get a revised estimate before work was started. Previously the estimate was $3,100 and divided about evenly between the pavers and landscaping. He said he could do the job in about 4 to 5 weeks. During that time I requested an update on the pricing if there was going to be one. Then 5 days before the start date he gave me the proposal which shot up to $3,900. The price jump made me feel very uncomfortable. Then he seemed angry and his tone made me feel very uncomfortable. It felt like he gave a quick estimate off the top of his head without looking at details. I subsequently had a few other companies come give quotes for the job and the final price was not too different. It was just the manner in which he carried himself that made me not want to go with this company.

He did a wonderful job! He was very agreeable because I live in a community that controls what we can do. He had to revise it two times and he did so at no extra charge.

I was very pleased with Accent. They delivered what they promised.

We left numerous messages with the provider asking that he contact us with the landscape assessment. We did not hear from him until a month later. We explained that we needed the service performed weeks earlier and requested that our money be returned. He returned our money promptly.

Unreliable in keeping appointments, deadlines and finalizing agreements. Maybe my job wasn't important or a priority.

Accent on Landscape were efficient and completed the task as promised even while we were away on vacation. What a surprise to come home and have the job completed and done perfectly. They incorporated our old patio in with the new like they were both installed at the same time. Well done and we are so happy to have our new patio and the fire pit during these chilly Fall nights! I did receive an initial email within 2 days of purchase, stating that owner would be gone for 1 week. Didn't receive another call until 3 weeks later. We set up an appointment for October 27, but he never showed. I have not yet received a call regarding this missed appointment.

We felt it went quite well. Rob helped us in designing the patio to fit our back yard. He took us to the stone supplier to pick out the color and texture of the paving stones as well as the wall stones & seating stone. Did an excellent job with the fire pit. Answered any questions we had about the prices & progress of work. Was very personable and professional. Had a very knowledgeable and well-qualified foreman (Pablo) and crew. We're very satisfied & happy with the way the project turned out. It has made a tremendous improvement in our back yard; something we have been wanting to get done for several years and would certainly recommend Rob to any of our neighbors or friends.

I ended up using the the landscaper that the builder wanted to work with. I would have used this company if I had not used the landscaper the builder recommended.
