Awesome.
Description of Work: Due to our builder's shoddy work, the electrical wiring for a doorbell was cut and we were deceived into thinking there was never a plan to install a doorbell, but rather just an intercom. Of course, we needed a doorbell. Numerous electrical savvy handymen tried to fix the problem, to no avail. At one handyman's recommendation, we called Tri City. They dispatched a fabulous electrician, Scottie, that day. Scottie doggedly investigated the doorbell mystery and, within an hour, found the problem! He then fixed the problem, which included finding out where the original wiring went, placing new wiring, adding a transformer box, and getting the chime up and running! He was friendly and pleasant throughout and even cleaned up after himself! Then, he charged us a tremendously reasonable price.

They did as good of a job as they could considering the fact the house was so old. Overall, I was very satisfied with the job they did and I have not had any problems since the inspection was done.
Description of Work: They did a safety inspection on the house I moved into. The inspection needed to be done since the house had been vacant for several years. They inspected the electrical and HVAC lines throughout the house.

THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. THEY CAME IN AND DID THEIR WORK AND THEN LEFT. THEY DID WHAT I ASKED THEM TO DO. I EXPLAINED WHAT I NEEDED TO HAVE DONE, AND WE BOTH TOOK A LOOK AT IT AND HE EXPLAINED WHAT HE WOULD HAVE TO DO.
Description of Work: THEY MOVED A 220 DRYER VENT OVER ABOUT 24 INCHES IN THE FLOOR, AND THEY NEEDED TO USE A JUNCTION BOX FOR THE WIRE.

COMPANY ADVERTISED IF YOU CALL US BY 10AM, WE WILL BE THERE THE SAME DAY. THE FIRST FOUR I CONTACTED, OF WHICH TWO WERE ON ANGIE'S LIST, ALL HAD ME GOING INTO AN ANSWERING MACHINE. THE APPOINTMENT WAS MADE AT 7:45AM FOR 3PM, AND HE ARRIVED ALMOST ON TIME. THE OFFICE CALLED US AND SAID HE WOULD WOULD BE RUNNING ABOUT AN HOUR BEHIND, AND 15 MINUTES LATER THE SERVICEMAN CALLED AND SAID HE WAS 10 MINUTES FROM OUR HOUSE. THEY CHARGED A $59 SERVICE/TRAVEL FEE AND QUOTED AN ADDITIONAL $149 TO COMPLETE THE JOB. TIME SPENT AT MY HOUSE WAS 90 MINUTES. HE WAS COURTEOUS, AND NEAT, EVEN PUT THE STRETCH BOOTIES OVER HIS WORK BOOTS WHEN HE ENTERED THE HOUSE. WE ARE VERY PLEASED, AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CONTRACTOR FOR ANY SMALL JOBS.
Description of Work: MOVED AN ELECTRIC DRYER PLUG CONNECTION APPROXIMATELY TWO FEET. JODY, THE SERVICE MAN, HAD TO GO INTO THE CRAWL SPACE TO LOCATE THE LINE, CUT IT, AND USE A JUNCTION BOX TO SPLICE AND EXTEND THE ADDITIONAL WIRE NEEDED TO MOVE THE DRYER PLUG. DRILLED A NEW HOLE IN THE FLOORING AND MOVED THE DRYER PLUG, TESTED THE CONNECTION, AND CLEANED UP THE WASTE MATERIAL.

I WILL NEVER CALL THIS COMPANY AGAIN. THE ELECTRICIAN DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE COULDN'T EVEN TURN OFF THE CORRECT CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND RECOMMENDED THAT I VIOLATE HOUSING CODES. AVOID TRI-CITY ELECTRIC!
Description of Work: I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE SMOKE AND CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS CONSTANTLY GOING BAD IN THE HOUSE. THE ELECTRICIAN SHOWED UP AN HOUR LATE. HE CHECKED ONLY 1 DETECTOR'S WIRING AND THE INCORRECT OUTLET FOR ONE OF THE CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS, CLAIMED HIS READOUT SAID THOSE WERE FINE. IF I WANTED ANYTHING ELSE CHECKED IT WOULD COST EXTRA. HE SUGGESTED I INSTALL BATTERY-OPERATED DETECTORS!!! AFTER SPENDING $58, I DON'T HAVE ANY FUNCTIONAL DETECTORS AND THE HOUSE DOESN'T MEET CODE.

AT TRI-CITY ELECTRIC WE PRIDE OURSELVES WITH BEING ON TIME. WE SCHEDULE OUR APPOINTMENTS IN 2 HOUR TIME SLOTS, WE DID ARRIVE WITHIN THE ALLOTED TIME SLOT JUST NOT AT THE FRONT END OF THE TIME SLOT. ALL OF OUR TECHNICIANS ARE TRAINED, QUALIFIED, BACKGROUND CHECKED, AND DRUG TESTED. THE TECHNICIAN WHO WAS ASSIGNED TO THIS JOB IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND GAVE THIS CUSTOMER SUGGESTIONS TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CUSTOMER CHOSE NOT TO DO SO DUE TO PRICE. OUR MAIN GOAL AT TRI-CITY ELECTRIC IS TO PLEASE ALL CUSTOMERS 100% AND WE ARE SORRY THIS CUSTOMER FEELS THIS WAY.

BEFORE GETTING THE WORK DONE, I HAD GOTTEN 3 ESTIMATES. ALTHOUGH TRI-CITY ELECTRIC'S ESTIMATE WAS NOT THE CHEAPEST, I DECIDED TO GO WITH THEM BECAUSE THE TECHNICIAN WAS FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND OFFERED SUGGESTIONS FOR THE PROJECT THAT I WOULDN'T HAVE OTHERWISE THOUGHT OF MYSELF. TRAVIS ARRIVED WITH IN THE TIME FRAME I WAS GIVEN WHICH WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE TO ME. I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THIS COMPANY AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS AND WILL DEFINITELY BE USING THEIR SERVICES AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
