I couldn't understand the quote that was sent.

Windows were replaced in one day, which was great. I have experienced higher energy bills in the winter and summer since replacing my windows. I had hoped replacing them with these double pane energy efficient windows would safe me money from the previous windows I had on my house that were actually 40 years old, but it was the opposite, my electric bills are much higher. They are simple to open and close and are the tilt in model for ease of cleaning, which is a positive. The company was good about cleaning up after the job was completed.

Our house was built in 1987 and it was time for all new replacement windows. Zen Windows was a great company to work for. After sending him a list of windows and approximate sizes Brian took time via email to provide me with different pricing options and product literature to consider. He did not push us into the most expensive options or other products we didn't need. Once we decided what we wanted he sent out the estimator to make exact measurements. Then it only took a few weeks while the windows were being made and they set up the appointment. The crew arrived on time, did good work, and finished about 80% of the job on the first day. They cleaned everything up along the way and finished the next day. That was in April and this past summer our house has been noticeably cooler without the AC running all day which we attribute to the better efficiency of these windows. They look great too.

Work that was done was great, could not have been any better. Crew was on time, friendly. and professional. Wish I had found Zen Windows before previous work was done. Work use them on all future work. Thanks for the great work.

The process with Zen was straight forward and painless. We are happy with the quality of the installed products. Brian was very prompt and professional during all discussions. He is a great communicator and very conscientious. The install crew was timely and very proficient. We had a few items that we were not happy with after the install. Some were manufacturing defects, and some were installation errors (torn screen for example). Brian and his team took care of everything with no questions asked. We are very satisfied with the results and would recommend to anyone looking for replacement vinyl windows.

They provided me with a quote same day I contacted them and then another quote same day when I changed my mind about what I wanted. They were great about getting back to me when I emailed them about questions. Brian and Scott came out to measure and go over our order and help us make decisions about what would be best, Everyone was friendly and professional including the installation crew. They did a great job and in the time frame they had given us.

First let me recommend that anyone who is in the market for new replacement windows in addition to using Angie’s list go to thewindowdog.com and check them out and also join and you will get about three or four specific idea letters to help in your search. The site owner Dan is in the business so some of the recommendations are slightly tilted but it is still a great site. Now a little about my search, was in the market for replacement windows for our 25 year old wooden ones, and approximately 11 in total with 10 being normal size and 1 tempered glass window over the bathtub in the master bathroom. Started out getting estimates from four companies in the area, and trying to compare apples to apples and believe me in the window world that is next to impossible. Mr. Brian Zimmerman of Zen Windows was the first and last company (used Zen). Brian is professional, personable and knowledgeable having been around the window community for several years. After hearing the several presentation and doing the pro’s and con’s of each we decided on Zen, throughout the process we were in touch with Brian with questions and changes to the model numbers and which would work best for us. Each time he answered promptly with the new information. Also their presentation includes a price list which is good for many months so you are not compelled to sign right now to get the best price as might be seen with others. The final measurements were done by Scott another professional who has been in the company for many years. After the windows were ordered, it was about three weeks to installation which was done by Thad’s team who were on time, worked well together and were very coordinated to get the job done quickly. It was a pleasure working with Zen Windows and I would highly recommend them for your project if and when you decide on replacing your windows.

We needed to replace very old and inefficient windows to not only provide more beauty to our master bedroom, but to cut down on road noise and increase heat retention. Wow, what an immediate difference. Not only are the new windows beautiful and easy to operate, but the bedroom is now so quiet!!

Brian is extremely detail oriented. He will handle the entire transaction by email, phone, or in person. He came out to the house to inspect our plantation shutters to ensure they could stay mounted during install. Install went smoothly. Windows look great. There was no pressure to buy, no money needed until job completed to our satisfaction. Will use again when ready to replace the back of the house

I am very pleased with the quality of the Zen (Soflite) windows. We chose the Nirvana window to replace 1960'2 aluminum frame windows. Installation went very well; one problem with one window size which they got on immediately, had it rushed in and installed quickly. Very pleased with the installers and the whole process. Brian provided the estimate via internet with my size estimates, sent Scott to do final measurements, and had the windows in within 2 weeks, even in the busy fall season.

Zen Windows crew did an excellent job in re-placing our old, cheesey and foggy windows. The crew took their time, was very professional and answered all of our silly questions. Our old windows you could not see out of them, barely could get them to open and you could feel how drafty they were. The new windows are air tight, up to date looking and nice bright white . The new windows open nicely, easy to clean and clear to look out of them. Since the new windows have been put in, my husband and I can tell the difference in our house now. The house is much warmer and the heater runs a whole lot less. I would recommend Zen Windows to anyone that is in the market for new windows. Thank you Zen Windows for doing an AWESOME job!!!

The whole process was smooth and Brian was very responsive and understanding. Zen is a no pressure company that provides quick quote and answers all questions quickly. I had a quote from another company that was a 2.5 hour dog and pony show that ended with aggressive/belittling sales tactics. Zen is not this type of company. I highly recommend these guys if you a low hassle, affordable, good quality window replacement experience. FYI...I chose their top of the line windows, which is the SoftLite Pro model.

I delayed this project for several reasons. Since it is a rental unit I was afraid I would need to take a day off to meet someone to measure the windows and then listen to a lengthy sales presentation. I was also afraid that the replacements would leave us needing drywall repairs or at least some major paint touch-ups. I had it all wrong. All of our correspondence was done through email and text messaging so it required almost no time commitment from me. The tenants were happy with how quickly the project was completed and with the quality of the work. There was no drywall damage and we didn't even need to touch-up the paint. Brian understands the hectic nature of life and he knows how to make window replacement a simple process for the property owner. Zen even knows the little things that most of us wouldn't even notice but that can really add value to the job. I wish they did more than windows because we have some other projects that we need to do.

Replaced four large windows of condo on first floor. Brian is professional, punctual, and very responsive to your emails and calls. I could not have asked for anyone better and I feel confident in using them again in the future. Total estimated turnaround from signing contract to installation was four weeks. I would recommend Zen Windows to anyone and it beats big box retailers by 1000% in price and responsiveness. Brian is very knowledgeable and he deploys an installation team that is equally knowledgeable and professional.

Zen Windows was one of three companies that I received estimates for my windows replacement. I initially sent the owner (Brian Zimmerman) a list of the size windows I needed replaced, along with the quantity needed, and the type of style/type of windows I wanted. Brian got back to me the same day (over the weekend), and an estimate within 24 hours. Although his price wasn't the cheapest, it was relatively close to the other estimates I received. Based on reviews from Angie's List, I decided to go ahead and have Zen Windows do the job. It wasn't long until the lead installer (Scott Padgett) came out and verified the measurements of what we needed, and placed the order for the windows. Scott also had some valuable suggestions which made our experience better. It took about 3 weeks or so for the windows to come in, and then Zen verified all the windows were correct before coming out and installing them. On installation day, Zen sent out 5 guys to do the installation, and it was clear that they had been in the industry for a while, had done many jobs, and knew what they were doing. The guys did great work on the installation, and accomplished it all within the same day, which I thought was amazing. I absolutely love the windows, and from talking with a family member whom is the home improvement field, he said we had made a good choice in the window brand that we had selected. I couldn't offer more praise for Zen Windows. From start to finish, they provided an excellent product and superior service.

Brian was very responsive to all of our inquiries. It was very impressive as responsiveness is so hard to find in contractors these days. The windows are great quality for the price. Installation went and the project manager kept us informed on the process and delivered timely. Any issues we had were resolved quickly. I would definitely recommend this company.

It went very smoothly. Everything went as promised, on time, and very clean when they left. They did a really, really good job. I don't think I could have gotten a better company. I'd give them an A+ if could.

Our 5 yr. old sliding glass patio door was stuck & couldn't be moved. It was evident to us that the rollers needed replacing. I contacted 11 companies/contractors. 2 would do no repairs, 4 were left messages & didn't return calls, 2 would only work on their own product, 2 wanted over $90 to just come to our home to look at the door, and each tried to convince me the door needed to be replaced, sight unseen. Only ONE responded! Brian Zimmerman of Zen Windows Carolina LLC, came to our home, quickly ascertained the problem--the bottom rollers needed replacing. He ordered the replacements, returned when they arrived, and replaced the good for the bad, a quick fix. He refused to take compensation for his labor, only for the cost of the rollers. I contacted 11 companies. I found ONE person with ability, honesty, and integrity. He is a gem in the industry.

Although they do deal with wooden casement windows that we have in our home, the company representative was very professional, and was insightful. Although they do no repair windows, they were very helpful with advice regarding that. Although we did not get work done through them, simply because they did not deal the type of windows that we have, the company appears ethical, professional, and was just willing to help with the issue at hand. Without being paid, they were helpful.

We used Zen Windows to install all new windows for the first floor of our house. They made it very easy for us from start to finish. I requested a quote, and got a call back very promptly from the owner, Brian. After speaking with Brian on the phone about the type of windows, number of windows, etc. that we wanted he was able to give me a preliminary quote and emailed me a lot of information about the types of windows they offer. This was much easier than having to schedule a meeting with a salesperson and then listening to their sales pitch for two hours, when all you really want to know is how much it will cost. Then he sent the project manager out to meet with me, who was very flexible with my work schedule. The project manager measured our windows, reviewed the type of window grids we wanted, and then we were able to get the final quote right away. Once we ordered the windows, we only waited 4 weeks, and then they were out to our house to install them. The installers did an excellent job. They did all the windows in one day, and vacuumed and cleaned up everywhere so that you couldn't even tell anyone had been there. The manufacturer sent one window that was the wrong size, so they put in a rush order to get it. There was no deposit required when ordering and no payment due at all until we had the very last window installed a few weeks later. They were very good about keeping us updated on the status of the project and the additional window that needed to be ordered throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Zen Windows!

They are a great company to do business with. On the initial call they asked why we wanted to replace the windows. They sent me literature about their product that was very informative. Then we set up an appointment to come out and measure. I was told it would take approximately 3 weeks to get delivery. I was notified when the windows arrived and that they would be going through an inspection process. I felt very good about that. A week later I set up a delivery date. All went well and I was later called and emailed about my satisfaction with their service. Brian was the one who always kept in touch and he and his organization did a fantastic job. Their professionalism over exceeded my expectations. Thank you Zen Windows!

They’re not licensed to do work in South Carolina, so I’ll find someone else for the work. They were very straightforward and easy to deal with.
