Brian did a very complete job and was a total professional. This job was complicated by the fact that I only have one bathroom in my house but he never left the house without the toilet working. He was very prompt and totally cleaned up all of the mess. He charged a very fair rate for all of the work that was involved.

Called to make an appointment to have my old leaking kitchen faucet replaced. Brian arrived on time as agreed. He gave me some helpful tips for the future and was very pleasant and professional to work with. Brian Long will be the person I call for all my future plumbing needs and I would recommend him to all my friends.

At 11:00 P.M. the supply line to my kitchen sink broke. Water was spraying everywhere. I tried to shut the water off, but the handle wouldn't turn. I called Mr. Long (freakin' out) and he calmly instructed me to turn off the hot water heater valve which stopped the leak. He then came out the next morning and made the necessary repairs. Mr. Long was a pleasure to work with and I'm glad I chose him. Keep up the good work!

My call was answered promptly and Brian was on site within the hour. Thorough job, helpful money saving tips along the way, and a fair price. What more can you ask? I would not hesitate to use this company's services again...

I called him and asked him how much it would be. Most of the companies that I called would not give me rate on the phone and were going to charge a fee to come out to give me an estimate. Brian did not charge me for an estimate and told me that he just charged $115 for an hour. He came out, checked over all of the work that had been started by a previous company, and discovered that the flapper that was replaced was defective. He put in a new flapper. He then placed dye in it and waited about an hour and a half to make sure it wasn't leaking. The aggravating noise that was happening with the bad flapper had stopped. He checked to see if we had a pressure release valve, which we did. He then checked the meter outside to make sure there was not a house leak. He was very thorough. I have nothing but good things to say about him.

I called for service & Mr. Long came out the same day. He was very professional, friendly & knowledgeable. He went over & beyond a good service. The faucet set I had purchased was not compatible with the openings in my sink/counter. Mr. Long suggested we look on my computer for one that would work. When he wasn't able to see enough about the faucets on line, HE WENT WITH ME TO A HOME STORE to help me get a compatible faucet. He returned to my house that same day & installed it. He didn't charge me any more that his initial quote including the discount! WOW!

I called Brian from Angie's List after I had to send another plumber away because he was proposing a very messy and poorly thought out solution to a sink installation problem. The first plumber was full of complaints and excuses which I found to be rather tiresome. . Brian came quickly, evaluated the situation and developed a reasonable solution which he implemented .

We discovered that our water heater had been leaking for some time. I called Brian out to look at it. He fixed the problem very quickly and gave me some great advice on how to best set the temperature of our water heaters. Because it took him such a short amount of time, I asked him if he'd mind looking at a couple of other issues in the house. He advised me to contact the manufacturer of our faucet set on our jet tub, as they would likely send replacement parts for the defective ones to me for free, and then said I should call him once I have those so he can install them. He gave me great advice to help us save some money. I've dealt with other plumbers from the large companies who are only interested in trying to make as much as possible off of each job, but with Brian I immediately felt like I had found a plumber I can trust. He will be our first call for any plumbing issues in the future, thanks Brian!

Brian did a great job. We worked out the repair options for this old house (probably 50 yr old sewer line with no exterior access) together before agreeing on a course of action. He cleared the blockage (house refuse and not tree roots as I had feared) with the rented machine, reseated the toilet better than it had been, and unclogged an old shower drain. He also gave me an understanding of the trends in the local plumbing industry as he worked, supplying me with the info to be a better consumer in the future. I appreciated Brian's pricing fairness as we settled up---he only charged for the time actually worked on the drain and bathroom features, not the total time from start to finish.

I call Brian after I had been unsuccessful in repairing the commode system and he was out here that afternoon right on time. He looked at the mess I had created and promptly fixed and installed new parts that were needed. He was professional every step of the way and I never had any concerns about the quality of work. His charges were very reasonable considering the parts he provided and time he spent with us. When he finished with the work I had asked of him, he asked me if there was anything else he could do because we still had time left on the hour's that he was charging us for. He was friendly and totally thorough with his work and such a genuine guy...a real pleasure meeting him and having him in our home. I will never call anyone else for plumbing needs.

I contacted Brian regarding a plumbing issue that we were having on the first floor. He knew exactly what the problem was and explained to me how to locate the external pipe that Char/Meck Utilities would need in order to clear the sewage line from the house to the street. He also took the time to tell me how to best get in touch with the city. Even better, though, he contacted me later in the day to make sure that the problem was resolved. Brian was honest and helpful. He could have come out the house and charged me a fee only to tell me it was the city's problem, but he didn't. While we didn't have an internal plumbing issue this time, next time we do, he will be the first person I contact.

Brian stopped by my house at 8 PM and not only did he charge me 1/2 of his usual fee because he said he was on his way home for the day and driving right by my house, but he didn't charge me an after-hours fee. Brian called me several times during the afternoon and I knew he was in Denver, NC working on a job and it wasn't likely he was going to be able to help me until the next morning, but he surprised me. He took care of the problem in a few minutes; was super nice after a long day for him and I couldn't be more thankful that I called this guy.

Mr. Long answered our call and was at our house within the hour. He really worked hard to get our sewer free of the clog but to no avail. He suggested at this point to have a "Clean out" installed. We agreed as our home should have been upfit this way during the remodel, however it was not. The next day, Mr. Long promptly located our buried plumbing, replaced what needed to be replaced and installed the "Clean out". Next a City of Charlotte crew came and took care of the clog. Mr. Long had a really dirty job to do for us, and he completed it on time all the while exhibiting a great "can-do" attitude. We will surely use him in the future for all our plumbing needs and would highly recommend him to whomever needs his service.

Brian was prompt in responding to the call. He took the time to explain the problem and how he was going to fix it. When he ran into difficulty on the job (a cracked connection), he brought the piece that was broken to me and described the issue before replacing the part. He also took the time after the work was completed to give me pointers on how to avoid future problems. He was considerate of our house (shoes always off, things returned to their place). He also volunteered to change a burned out lightbulb in the attic while he was up there! Best of all, he walked into a real mess and left the drains clear and the bathroom pristine.

The above problems have needed fixing for several months since I was at home on Labor Day I decided to contact Mr. Long - he agreed to come out on the same day at a specific time and then called to let me know that he was on his way. Mr. Long was professional, amiable and clean (which to me makes a difference). He assessed all 3 problematic situations and got to work, remained focused, and explained everything in words that I could understand. I was amazed at his problem-solving ability which saved time and money. He DID NOT charge for 3 separate jobs but just the time / materials spent!

Wife wanted a new deeper white cast iron sink in the kitchen and I needed water run to another building.Brian was recommened to us from a friend who had used him before.He showed up on time and began working on the sink it went good but he needed another fitting so he left and went to a plumbing supply house and got the part and finished the sink.went very fast and the wife loves the new deeper sink.Brian started digging the trench with a fancy trencher about 50 feet ,he got the water line in and installed a yard hydrant very cool!!! Everything that was done was first class, cleaned up his mess wrote out bill nothing added,Great Price,Very Pleased.

Our washer backed up one day and we had another plumbing company repair it at an exorbitant expense. The next day the kitchen sink backed up. We attempted the repair ourselves - sucessfully snaking the drain to 20' - with no success. After crawling under the house to determine the next step, we crawled right back out and joined Angie's List to find a plumber! Brian Long was one of the top listings. We called him because he had good recommendations, was located near us, and looked like he was new to the List. We figured that might mean he'd be eager for work to establish his name. Over the phone he was knowledgeable and surprised us by volunteering to come immediately, even though it was close to closing. At the house he took time to answer questions thoroughly from both my husband and me before starting work. The clog turned out to be more complicated than normal yet he cleared it, working under the house. Although he spent twice as much time on the job, we paid half the price of the exorbitant plumber. Afterward he spent time educating us about the relation between the washer clog and kitchen sink clog, showed us the two kitchen sink leaks requiring further repair, and educated us on how to prevent future clogs. Pleased with the results, Brian's knowledge, and his honest and helpful communication style, we asked him to look at several other plumbing concerns and give us estimates for their repair.

Our pipes were gurgling and we suspected a serious problem that needed immediate attention. We called Brian late on a Friday. He volunteered to come right away on his way home from his last job. Good thing he came (I think he knew that we had a potentially serious problem but didn't want to scare me). With only a little more water use inside we would have sewage coming back through the drains into our home. He could not have been more pleasant and helpful. His work included going to the hardware store to get the exact piece he needed. He was here until almost dark. We want to have him back to do more work and wish him the best in the future.

The lift pump on my house failed and needed immediate repair. I first called another plumber recomended on Angie's list but he was working on an emergency job at the time and recommended Mr. Long. Mr. Long showed up within an hour as promised and repaired my lift pump below cost and within the time promised.
