I took his advice nd so far I have been able not to replace the water heater.

I called Brian Long, talked to him on the phone for a few minutes and made an appointment for him to repair leaky faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms. He came. Instead of repairing the kitchen faucet, he suggested I should replace it with a new one. And we agreed that I'd pick up one myself and have him come back later to do the installation. I also asked what needs done for the bathrooms, he said the "kits" need to be replaced, taking a cursory look of the bathrooms, not opening anything to check. I also asked for a rough idea of repair time and cost. Grudgingly he did so. He was there for about 5 to 10 minutes. I got a new faucet set and called him to make an appointment to come back. He came on the day scheduled, about 30 minute late but no big deal. I showed him to the kitchen and the new faucet I picked up, he said it is a good one. But instead of starting in the kitchen, he started in one of the bathrooms, he started to unscrew the handle and that is when it came out that the new handle might be a different type. New handles? First time I found out about that. What would the new set look like? He does not know. So what if I don't like the look of the new set? At that point, he got up, he was not going to do the job anymore and stormed out.

Brian has helped me with several plumbing projects over the past few years and has always done a great job, so I knew who to call when my water bill showed a big leak problem. Brian is honest and informative; he provided me with as usual with the best solution at the best/fair price. There were a couple of glitches in installation due to the way the pipe was originally installed and Brian took it all in stride and knew what to do. He's also been great at giving me helpful tips on things I can do myself and things I can do to prevent further problems.

I called Brian on the morning of the 9th of March. He responded immediately and said he would be out after he finished another job. He called me an hour before he was to arrive. He came in and looked over the situation and told me that I had bought a good replacement disposal. He took the time to explain other disposals and the pros and cons of each. He pulled the old disposal and repiped and replaced the disposal with the new one. Brian even looked at my front outside hose bib and explained what I needed to do to replace it and where I could probably get the part since it was 30 years old and would be hard to find. We were also talking about a stump grinder specialist that he had found and he gave me his name and phone number. Brian is such a nice man, very professional, and did an excellent job. I was extremely pleased with him and his work. and I would very highly recommend him. He will be my plumber from now on.

I think we found him on Angie’s List. He was really prompt and really fairly priced. He was just a really nice guy. He came out on a Saturday afternoon too. He ran late a couple of times but he called us to let us know so we weren’t hanging around. That was incredibly nice and he was just a really good guy. We are going to have him back here shortly to do some work. He was excellent.

Brian came the day after I called him -- at the time we had agreed on -- no waiting around. He worked speedily and efficiently and had the old toilet out and the new one in in about an hour. After he left I noticed the toilet tank was slightly angled in relation to the base --I called Brian the next morning about this and he said he'd come later in the day to fix it. Overall, wonderful service -- speedy and courteous. I will definitely call Brian for any plumbing jobs we have in the future.

They were professional and on time. He worked hard to find the best solution for our problem. He had state of the art of equipment. He was thorough in explaining what he was doing.

We had a rupture in our main water line under our kitchen floor two days after Christmas, on a Saturday. His message said he was out of town until 12/29 but existing customers could leave a message. I left one anyway, even though we are not prior customers, because I couldn't find anyone open who would respond. He surprised me with text message with three companies to try, and their phone numbers. I asked him about the one company that had replied, and he gave me the okay on that one, too. What a professional, and a caring person to take the time to do that while traveling over the holidays. God bless Brian! We will be calling him in the future.

I have used Brian several times for plumbing work around our house. He is always prompt and courteous and does a great job. I recommend him without hesitation.

Brian responded to my email inquiry promptly. We set up an appointment for later in the week. On the morning of, Brian called ahead and arrived promptly. I showed him the pressure drop-off when multiple faucets were running, and he tested the house's pressure, attempted to increase the settings on our pressure valve, but determined that the valve wasnt operating correctly. Brian replaced the valuve quickly and efficiently. He had the parts in the van and the new part immediately fixed the pressure problem. We were living with poor pressure and the inability to shower in 2 rooms (the kids bath and master bath) at the same time for almost 5 years since we bought the home. If we realized Brian could have corrected this so quickly and affordably, we would have called him a long time ago. I walked around with Brian, and he explained everything he was testing and doing, and I think he is very honest and up front and followed a good logical approach to diagnosing the problem. Even when he had to turn off the water to the house to change out the valve, he did as much of the work in his van to minimize the amount of time it we would need to turn off the water (he installed the new regulator to a new piece of piping in the van, allowing it to dry while he worked on other projects in the house, and then tied that new piece into the house plumbing in 10 minutes, so very little disruption in water service. Other plumbers might have just cut the new regulator into the piping and left it for an hour to dry with no water to the house in the meantime.) Brian is also very professional. He kept taking his shoes off between outside and inside work and was careful to clean up behind him any mess from cleaning out rust particles from the shower heads to putting towels down on the bathroom floor. We would recommend Brian, and we'll call him again as we have other plumbing needs.

I Called Brian about the backed up pipe. He came out right away and fit me into his schedule. Very nice, very courteous, very clean, he took his shoes off before he came in the house, non-smoker, pleasant gentleman, Loves dogs, I will always call him back.

I called and left a message early morning about our water heater. Brian Long called me back a bit later and told me he was booked for the day. BUT, he gave 2 other plumbers he recommended. I thought this showed professionalism and a responsibility to the client. I would call Brian Long in the future.

Called Brian in the a.m. and left a message describing the clogged shower drain not expecting to hear back that day. Received a call roughly 3:00 that afternoon from Brian stating he was on way to another job on my side of town and would call after evaluating what that job entailed. Called back a while later and say he had taken care of that issue and was on the way to me. Bottom line is that shower was unclogged and working fine by 5:00 that afternoon. I had used this company previously for exterior faucet issue and the results were the same. I will definitely use Brian in the future when needed.

We had a leaky Moen Shower faucet. Left a voicemail in the evening and Brian got back to me the next morning. His estimate was the lowest of three plumbers and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

Mr. Long was quick to respond to our call, set an appointment with us, and came out on the date set to make the repairs, He is always polite, respectful and friendly. He worked diligently to make the repairs, explained what he had done, cleaned up and was ready to go within a very reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend Brian W. Long Plumbing! We have called him on more than one occasion, and he has always done a great job.

We had a leak in the basement around our hot water heater, so I assumed, with it being 15 years old, that this was the source of the leak. I called Brian, and he told me how to cut off the water supply to the heater, and priced a new one for me on the phone. He arranged for a replacement to be delivered that day, and he came out that evening to replace. Then he discovered the REAL source of the leak, (the clogged condensation line for A/C unit) and quickly fixed. He offered to take back the hot water heater that had been delivered. We decided to go ahead and replace anyway because of the age of our old one. He came back 2 days later to replace hot water heater, and did not charge us for the initial visit where he corrected the condensation line problem. Brian is a knowledgeable, caring, on-time professional that explained everything he did. We will definitely be calling him for all our future plumbing needs.

We called Brian to look at our sump pump. He was unavailable that weekend, so we said we may get someone else sooner- if not we would call him back. After reading the reviews here- I told my husband I would rather wait for Brian because he seems like he is really good. Called today to tell him we will wait until he is able to make it, and started to make an appointment for Wednesday. My husband told Brian that we need a really good plumber. Someone that is our go-to guy. That we can trust and just know that they can handle the job and treat us right. My husband told Brian that he was not even going to ask price, that if he takes care of us- we will be happy to take care of him. (you get what you pay for, and we know that) So they set the appointment for Wednesday and my husband says if that time does not work I will call you right back. (I would be the one home to greet Brian, and he just wanted to check with me) At that point Brian says, 'you know what, I do not want to come to your house'. Okay, why? He said because he can already tell we would be trouble customers and he has enough business and does not need it. I wish we could portray on Angie's list what kind of people we are, because we are the opposite of trouble. My husband was super polite and this is Brian's reply. I had read his replies to others here on AL and his insistence that customers who have not used his service not be able to review. I disagree- he was rude to a potential customer. Does he do good work? Maybe- but I would be wary of his service if trouble arose; if this is the way he treats people who were polite and sincerely interested in his service. I am sure he will reply to this with a rant, as he has on the others who have posted similar situations. But in this case, he has earned a honest F in professionalism...

very well, he was prompt, courteous, and worked steady and accomplished what we asked. We have used him before and Brian is consistantly on time, calls ahead, and does a good job and his prices are very reasonable.

Came out after a late day and did the job. Good location now.

The laundry room was flooded from a stopped up drainage line. Brian came on a Saturday evening within 2 hours of calling him. Despite the rough weather conditions, Brian climbed on the roof to remove the clog and he did some additional work to ensure the line would stay clear.

We set up an appointment and he called first and showed up on time. He verified that my water pressure valve was not only bad but leaking as well. He replaced it and adjusted it to give me the right water pressure according to my hot water heater specifications. Now I have great water pressure in my house. Finally he reduced his initial price and charged me less then what we agreed upon. He was very friendly and professional. I would recommend him to anybody who needs plumbing done.
