I called Brian at the recommendation of another plumber. He answered the phone himself and agreed to come out the same day, which was fabulous! His estimate was $40 less than another plumber on Angie's list. He was on time, neat and very professional. I would definitely use him again! Very nice guy.

He arrived when he said both for his initial visit to see what was needed (the pressure was not a regular size so he had to obtain a different one than he had on his truck) and for the repair work. The work was done quickly and professionally. He pointed out a flapper on the toilet that would porbably have to be replaced in the future. He suggested that I might want to replace it since he would have to charge a mark up for the part. I plan to call him in the future if I have any plumbing needs.

I called Brian on Tuesday, May 17 after reviewing his listing on Angie's List and scheduled a non-emergency appointment to clear a slow drain in two showers for May 19 at 10:00. I requested he call before coming because I would need to leave work in Charlotte to meet him. Brian called at 9:30 sharp and said he was on his way. I met him at the house at 10:00 sharp. Before entering the house he removed his shoes. I described the problem and he went right to work. Both drains were cleared in about 20 minutes. After that I mentioned a leaking water hose under a sink and asked him to look at it. Brian quickly replaced the hose with one I had and installed the proper fitting which I did not have. It took another 30 minutes to find the water shut-off valve, replace the hose, test his work and clean up. All totaled, he charged $120 for 1 hour of labor, $10 for a fitting and gave the $15 discount for mentioning Angie's List. I consider that a good deal. Another satisfied customer.

Brian showed up the day we called and quickly determined that the drain angle was just a little off. He cut my existing pieces to fit and corrected the leak. He also showed me how to fix another small problem I had in the kitchen. The whole experience was easy, affordable, and barely interrupted my daily routine. I will definitely call Brian for any future plumbing work I may need.

Overall, a great experience. He spent extra time helping me diagnose low water pressure. He crawled into the crawl space with me...something that I hesitate to do even for my mother. Brian is a hard worker, obviously intelligent and easy to talk to.

He is great. We have used him and my son and daughter-in-law have used him too. We have been very pleased with his work. My mother had several problems at her place and had a leak and he fixed that. I remember one time he came out and checked a leak and it was still leaking a little bit and he came back and did not charge for that trip. We have been pleased with him and my son and daughter-in-law also. He was out whenever we needed him.

Great. I emailed on a Friday afternoon. Brian followed up on Sunday afternoon and we were able to schedule an appointment for Monday afternoon. Very helpful and professional.

Brian gave us advice for the present to keep it from happening again, advice for future permanent fix to the problem, advice on what not to do again: ie, drano and liquid plumber are an enemy to your pipes when you have this problem, and flushable wipes are the cause for many plumbing related calls. We have a little one just learning to take care of personal needs and there were flushable wipes stuck in the lines. Toilet paper disintegrates, those don't. Anyway, Brian was exactly what you want in a technician. He was informative, honest, and came on a Sunday evening and didn't charge extra for that, and he is a polite personable man.

This is the second time we have used Brian... and we will most definitely continue to use him in the future and continue to recommend him to everyone we know. He is fast, professional, and honest.

Found the source of the leak (the dishwasher) and told us that it wasn't a plumbing issue but an appliance repair which he doesn't do. Went above and beyond and called an excellent repair guy for us, who came in an hour and half, fixed it. Then offered advice on insurance matters and restoration and clean up matters for the damaged wood floors and celings. Just a phenomenal guy. Already booked him for another job on a different issue.

Brian answered my call right away and then came on a Saturday to look at the job that had to be done. Since it required more time and materials than what he was hoping, he scheduled me for Monday. He looked at everything that I had purchased or saved for him to work with and informed me about what else I needed to get in order to complete the job correctly (and which items he would be supplying). We discussed the options that were available. I had just had my countertops replaced. The kitchen faucet, drain, garbage disposal and dishwasher had to be connected. We were replacing the faucet and re-connecting the disposal and dishwasher. On Monday morning Brian called when he was on his way and arrived when he said he would. He fixed everything and cleaned up beautifully. Brian was helpful, knowedgable, prompt and efficient. I would definately use him again.

I called Brian when I noticed the leak (on a Saturday). He was in the middle of a job, and although I told him this was a job that didn't have to be done today, he scheduled my job that afternoon. He arrived promptly as scheduled, was able to quickly determine what the problem was, and was able to fix both sinks within an hour. He was professional throughout, and the cost of the job was extremely reasonable. I'll use him for any plumbing issues I have in the future.

My garbage disposal was not working and after having unsuccessfully used a commercial unclogger (which actually aggravated the problem), I e-mailed Brian. He called me within a few hours and then set up an appointment for later in the day. Not only did he not fix the problem, but he also identified another issue and fixed it at no extra cost. In addition, he gave me a second discount (this was on top of the $20 discount for Angie's List members) because he had to change his appointment time and push it back by an hour. I wasn't expecting this and would have gladly paid him more had he asked for it. I could not have asked for a more professional and humane experience. If it was possible, I would give Brian an A+++. I strongly recommend him for any plumbing-related jobs as it is hard to find professionals like him.

This is the third time we've had Brian out to the house for plumbing fixes. Our house is beginning to show its age in some places. Brian always shows up promptly, and by now he knows us pretty well! Because of the way our plumbing is connected we have to open up our hot water tap in our master bath (the most frequently used bathroom) for several minutes before water actually gets hot. Brian explained the hot water recirculation system on a previous visit, after I told him about the issue. He installs them for a flat rate of $500, which is worth is to not waste so much water and money. First, Brian looked at our tub which had a slow dripping leak from the faucet. He repaired that within a few minutes, and then went to work on the recirculation system. All of the work took 2-3 hours, and Brian took time to explain to me how everything worked with the new system. Now we have hot water instantly in our bathroom and throughout the house! I forgot to clean out from underneath my bathroom sink where he installed the recirculating pump, and I found everything neatly stacked during his work, next to the sink. I asked him to not put anything back and took that chance to finally declutter the cabinet after he left! Brian is our go-to plumber. He knows what he's doing, he's very honest, very professional and his work is great!

This is the second time I have contacted Brian and I have been extremely pleased with his work and his prices. He returned my call in a timely manner and arrived when he said he would. After finding that he needed a part that he didn't have, he offered to bring it by the next day to keep me from having to pay for his time to go get it. I would recommend him to anyone!

I found Brian over a year ago through Angie's List and have used his service three times since. Twice for plumbing repairs and once to replace a hot water heater. Meeting Brian is exactly how this list is supposed to work - he is hard-working, knowledgeable, professionally licensed and punctual. Simply put, he is a joy to do business with. He does what he says he will do, at the time he says he will do it, for a fair price - that is all I can ask. Most recently, I had a leak in my (hot) supply line leading to my washer. Brian showed up promptly, completed the repairs, cleaned-up (more than was expected) and was on his way. He even assited me with moving the washer back into place after he completed the work.

Excellent experience. Brian arrived within a few hours of my phone call to request his service and immediately diagnosed the problem. He worked very hard to resolve the issue and give me some helpful tips on what I could do to keep the plumbing running smoothly. Brian is professional, conscientious and very personable as well. I've used Brian before to unclog a drain (twice) and he was my first choice when I needed this work done. He did a great job for a very reasonable price. He also worked his schedule to come earlier than agreed so my kitchen was back to normal more quickly and minimize my inconvenience.

I have used him 2 or 3 times. He is oustanding. I have already recommended him to one of my friends who was equally pleased. He is super professional, friendly, punctual; all the virtues you would like in a plumber.

He unclogged that but also let me know a view point of what was going on with the plumbing in that part of the house, told me what to expect in the future and gave me an idea of what it would cost to rectify the situation. It was good. What was most important to me is that when it was all said and done I wasn't left with the impression that he made a mountain out of a mole hill. He made me feel that he was giving me a true picture of things and it was something it was doable and I felt very comfortable with his estimate and description of what was going on. I didn't feel like I was being lied to.

Another company came out first to clear my sewage system, could not get it cleared, told me to call the city, still charged me half of the estimate. I called Brian W. Long and he came out, put a clean out in at half the price estimated by the first A rated company on Angies List, and and was a true professional. He even saved me more money by telling me to call the city to clean out the sewer from the street for free. He also advised me how to keep my lines clear with a root killer additive. Great guy who I highly reccommend.

Outstanding service. Punctual, timely, explained the process to me as well as what he was doing, and even advised on how to keep the same problem from happening again. Brian respected my property and cleaned up to a "no trace" standard. He even repaired a faucet aerator that I had not noticed needed attention. This was a friendly and comfortable repair visit. Our bath tub and shower drain were suddenly completely clogged. We called Brian based on the good reviews and he came by the same day. It took way longer than anticipated to find the clog because our house supposedly has some unusual piping and he couldn't get through with his tools. Eventually it turned out that a plastic toy from our son was stuck in the drain pipe. Drywall in the garage had to be removed to access and replace a piece of the pipe. After 5 hours it was done. My wife chose to clean up herself to keep the cost down. We estimated something around $100-200 when we called. I guess the price per hour was okay but would have hoped to get to the bottom of the issue sooner. It was a kind of unusual situation so I can't tell if another company would have been a better (cheaper) choice. Brian was very professional and we'd probably call him again if we have another issue.
