We had a great experience with Brian. He was running a little late because the appointment he was at before us ran a little over, but he called ahead to let us know and to make sure it would be okay to arrive a little late.

He was prompt, diligent, and started working as soon as he got there and did not stop until he was done. Since he was working hourly, in order to reduce my cost, he gave me the option of either him picking up some parts or myself picking them up in order to reduce the bill for his hourly services and I decided to pick up some parts myself. This likely saved me about a hundred twenty dollars or so.

Called for an appointment and was told that he does not work on rental property. I do not understand how plumbing work for a rental is any different than any other home, but it would be nice for him to list this in his business description.

Brian was punctual, professonal and did a quality installation of an attractive and water-saving and very well-built toilet which functions very well.

The job went better than expected. I live near Raleigh and could only spend a few days in Charlotte. Brian was able to accommodate my schedule and get the job done quickly. When we met at the site, he provided information about heater options and made suggestions based on issues unique to the old structure and old plumbing. The following day he returned and installed the new water heater. Brian takes pride in his work (a rare quality these days!) Managing property from a distance is challenging. I will definitely call on Brian for future plumbing needs.

Responded withing hours of me call. Professional demeanor. Took off shoes before entering our house, good touch. Discussed problem with me. Told me what to expect. Did job promptly. Gave me ideas on how to not have this problem again. If I need a plumber, Brain is definitely the person I will call.

Brian gave me an estimate over the phone for a water heater repair. The estimate came out at around $180, so I scheduled an appointment. When he came over, he jacked up the price to $255. Having heard the original estimate to be $180, I brought only $250 in cash and since it was a rental property I didn't have my check book available. I asked him if he could do the job for $250. He got very angry and said that he was already doing me a favor by volunteering to drive to get some parts he needs to make the fix !!! I replied that it was his job to have the parts. When he heard my response, he got up in anger, showing a lot of attitude, and left. I called another service company, had a new water heater installed, the old one hauled away, all of the job was done for $595. By the way, Brian's estimate for a new water heater including installation was around $950. I was glad that things turned out this way after all. I've noticed that a lot of plumbers these days ask people to get them parts from the hardware stores. I just want people to be aware that these practices are not professional, especially given the high prices that these plumbers charge.

I have used Brian's services for 5 years at my home as well as my business. He is very punctual with return phone calls and with appointments. He unclogged a shower drain and explained to me why I needed to replace the flooring under a toilet that "rocked."After I scheduled the flooring company, he came back and removed the toilet. After the new flooring was installed, he came again to replace the toilet. Brian is very careful to be neat and never leaves any mess. If there are options or choices he always gives you the pros and cons of each. I am comfortable leaving Brian in my home when I cannot be there. His prices are good and his services are a very good value. He's a pleasure to do business with!

During a service call from a pest service, while inspecting our crawl space, the pest control vendor informed me that there was a busted pipe and that we had about 10 gallons of standing water under our house and water spraying out of the pipe. I jumped on Angie's List and Brian had the best review history so I called him. This was at 4:30p in the afternoon. He was available and at my house before 5pm. He was quickly able to identify the issue, had the requisite part and completed the work in less than an hour. He was professional and very nice. This was, by far, the best service call I have had from any vendor for an issue with our home. I would recommend him to anyone and he is now the only plumbing vendor we will use.

The master-bath shower leaked through to the kitchen ceiling below it on a Thursday morning. Brian was booked until Monday. He not only recommended 2 other plumbers, but used his own time to try to reach one of them (with no success). This was the first time I called Brian -- I was not even an established customer -- so his generosity was wonderful! What a great guy. No others available, so he came on Monday and diagnosed the problem as an incorrectly installed shower head (25 yrs ago when the house was built), fixed it & checked out all the plumbing in the shower. He was prompt, finished faster than either he or we expected, and very pleasant. Will definitely call him again -- in this house, probably sooner rather than later!

Called Brian early afternoon and he was able to come over within one hour to repair our clogged kitchen sink. He was courteous, prompt, efficient, and professional. Would use him again.

Went very well. Brian was able to schedule repair the next day after I called. He arrived on time and performed the work as needed. In the process of clearing the clog, he discovered a part of our drain was improperly installed (11 years ago) and fixed that, too. Everything is working fine now. I have used Brian in the past and find him to be courteous, friendly and quick. He is always honest and will tell you if something is not needed; he never tries to convince you to do more work than is needed and will often tell you how you can fix something yourself instead of paying him to do it. I recommend him without hesitation.

Brian answered the phone when I called( he was in his car and pulled over) and we set up an appointment for the next day. Despite having a full schedule, he was nice enough to promise to stop by after his last appointment since I would be home that day. He actually had a cancellation and called me to see if it was convenient for him to come over earlier. He showed up in the next 30 minutes and after I explained the situation with the clog, he got to work and had it all fixed within 30 minutes. He pulled up a HUGE clump of hair out of the drain and all is well. He also gave me some tips on how to prevent clogs as wellas some pointers if I were to try it myself again--which I don't plan on doing. Snaking a 2nd floor drain pipe without the professional tool that plumbers use is just a waste of time. FYI- these type of augers cost upwards of $400. Brian was very nice and professional;the kind of person you don't worry about letting into your house. I will recommend him to my friends.

We had a terrific experience with Brian Long Plumbing and I would use him again if I have a plumbing issue. We called Brian about a leak in an upstairs bathroom that was leaking into the garage. He came quickly and gave me an estimate. He needed to get parts and a helper for the repair, so we worked out a time for him to come back. While he was here, I asked if he had time to install a couple of bathroom sink fixtures and he was very nice and stayed and installed two of them before he had to go to his next job. I asked about installing several additional bathroom fixtures when he came back to do the other repair and he said he would be glad to do it. When Brian came back, he completed the replacement of the waste and overflow and installed all the fixtures. He showed me the cost of the waste and overflow repair again before he began, including the cost of the parts. He also installed another bathroom sink fixture and two shower fixture kits. Brian was very courteous and professional. He let me know in advance when the water was going to be shut off for a while, he took off his shoes in the house and he cleaned up any mess from the repairs. When he was finished, he went over the invoice with me and made sure I had all the paperwork for the new fixtures. I would use Brian Long Plumbing again because Brian was easy to work with, his prices were very competitive and he was professional and courteous.

First, let me say that Brian is an excellent and quick plumber. We were very pleased with the faucet installation he performed for us earlier this year and wrote a positive review. He removed the old faucet, installed a new one, checked on a toilet that was not flushing well, and discussed coming back to do some outside plumbing work.Total work time on the first service call: Between 1 hour and 15 minutes and 1 hour and 30 minutes.We experienced a slow draining sink over the weekend that my husband couldn't clear, so my husband called Brian. We placed the first call on Sunday and waited for a return call on Monday morning. At 11:30 a.m. Monday, my husband called him again and Brian answered.My husband had prepared a list of items that needed work (the sink included) and proceeded to tell Brian about them. His thought was to help Brian schedule the appropriate amount of appointment time. About 7 minutes into the call, Brian interrupted and said that he did not want to work for us anymore. My husband asked if there were items he would do, and Brian again declined to provide service.I followed up with an email to Brian, asking him to reconsider or provide a recommendation on another plumber. He said he didn't want to be rude, but found it difficult to deal with my husband and wouldn't refer us. My husband is now trying to fix the sink rather than calling another plumber.We are retired. My husband likes to stay involved, and admittedly, probably talks a bit much. But Brian was definitely curt and impatient. If you are an older person who likes to talk a bit, I would NOT recommend that you call Brian.

We talked with several plumbers before starting this work. Some were less expensive, but didn't really demonstrate a true interest in the smaller job. Brian stood out among others from the begining in his promptness on returning calls and the ability to work within our schedule. We were extremely pleased with the quality of his work, his explanations on how to improve our layout and his efficient use of time. You can tell Brian takes great pride in his work. I highly recommend Brian Long Plumbing and he will definitely be my first call on any future plumbing issues.

He arrived and completed his task in a timely manner. He had all the tools and equipment with him or on his truck. He replaced the seal under the toilet and check the upper part for leaks. He replaced the value coming out of the wall. All went well. There have been no leaks since he completed his job. The total time was about 45 minutes from start to finish.

Brian came out very quickly after I called him. He knew exactly what the problem was even though our symptoms were a little out of the norm. It took him less than an hour to diagnose and repair/replace the valve. I highly recommend Brian and will definitely be calling him again.

Brian came to our house previously to help us with some slow and clogged drains. We had some clogged drains when we moved into the house and getting it cleared was long overdue. Brian was excellent and a few days after he left, I noticed a strange buildup on my water heater pipes. We called Brian back and we did have a slow leak that was ruining the pipes. Brian completely replaced the pipes in a little over an hour. I trust him completely and wouldn't call anyone else if I had a problem. I'm very lucky I found a plumber I can trust when I have an issue.

My Mother in law had dumped a bunch of old cut up watermelon (not the rinds) down our disposal and when she went to use the kitchen sink it would back up and drain very slowly. I opened up the plumbing under the sink and there was no blockage so I used a drain snake to see if I could clear any blockage, no good results. Called Brian next morning around 11 AM and he came about 3 PM. He used a much larger drain snake, one appropriate for a kitchen sink, snaked the line hooked up the plumbing and all drained as t should. He then saw we had one of those flexible pieces of pvc plumbing and he removed that piece, replaced it with a solid piece of PVC and routed it in a way that we no longer needed and unnecessary twists and turns in the drain pieces below the sink. He cleaned up his work area and never walked inside our home with his shoes, he always took them off at our front door. He priced the job by what he replaced and the amount of time he spent here, no one price fits all or flat pricing. You pay for what he does, not for a "category" of what he does. Very fair, great quality and he'll be the guy we call if we ever have another plumbing need!

The faucet repair did not work out. The filter system opened up and sprayed water all over the kitchen. He was a friendly guy and the service costs was reasonable. I could not recommend him based ont he work under the sink. I think he was in a hurry since he came later in the day.

I can't recommend Brian highly enough. He is trusted, responsive, courteous and his fees are extremely fair. We won't use anyone else - he is that good.
