Description of Work: Finished a partially finished walk-out basement. Managed everything from design, blueprints, subcontractors... the works. Constant communication throughout from David, the knowledgeable project manager. Excellent suggestions and design work from their on-staff architect. Once the project started, work was continually being done, no "down-time". Very professional and detail-oriented construction manager (Eric). Every request was accommodated, and the finished product well exceeded my expectations. You are encouraged to purchase some of your own materials (lights, vanitys, etc) to help save cost, and they will install. As others have noted, they are more expensive... but you get what you pay for. Downside to the "pricing stage" is that you must contract with them with only a price "range"... they do not work up a final price until afterwards. They were more or less within the range, albeit at the top of the range, and everything was straightforward and fair, but I would have been more comfortable to get a bottom line prior to signing with them, it would not have affected my decision. Strongly recommend.

Description of Work: Remodel kitchen with small addition, tile and pocket door in the laundry room. |Our project was delayed by weather and unforeseen issues with our house, but otherwise went quite well. There were some minor quality issues with the subcontractors used but most of the work was top notch. UBG worked with us to reduce the project cost by allowing us to do some significant work and provide some materials out of pocket. | |Special kudos to Amy Kachin and Richard Reinhardt for being a pleasure to work with.
