Working with Jill and Sean was a great experience! Jill worked with me on plant choices, really listened to what I liked as far as color and style. Made sure everything was dog friendly. She sketched out a fabulous patio and retaining wall with planting areas, we chose the materials at Blue Max, all working within my budget. Everyone on the crew was a pleasure, and Sean kept me informed every day as to what would be happening that day or the next. Just as we finished in September, Charlotte implement the no sprinkler water restrictions, so they helped me put down soaker hoses through all the plantings. My yard looks amazing, and I look forward to getting Jill's advice on what plantings to put in my new patio beds in the spring. I will also be working with them again to create a dry creek bed in a gully area of the yard as the final phase this year.
Description of Work: My back yard was a sloping mud-pit. Too much shade for grass, and slopes that were eroding from rain and downspout run-off. I had a basic concept of what I wanted, and Jill improved and implemented my concept - included a stone path, patio & retaining walls, regrading and mulching the whole yard, and plantings.

We had a shady area where the grass wouldn't grow. It was very muddy, and it slopes, so it could get very slippery as well. We asked Jill for some options, we gave her some things we liked and didn't. She e-mailed us a plan, we agreed, and they started the next week. It took about 4 days, and there was some minor adjustments needed, but she was very responsive and ensured we were pleased with the work.
Description of Work: Put in steps (pavers) surrounded by pebbles. Also used some cement bricks we had to frame out the steps. In addition, put in plants surrounding the path.

I could go through the thesaurus and list every word that defines: excellence, professional, creative, efficient, meticulous, reliable, responsible, knowledgeable, easy to work with and delightful! I would still feel as though I had failed to adequately describe them and their services. We have struggled over the past twelve years we have lived here with many issues inherent to the topography of our neighborhood, which is older, and would not be allowed to be laid out as it is now if it were built with today's zoning laws. We have very little knowledge whats-more expertise in this area but knew vaguely what we would love to see. Jill and Gigi have been a dream to work with and everyday we check the progress of our beautiful new landscaping! Their communication involves detailed written plans and time-lines. They are always available for conferencing. They invested us with ownership even though we defer to them! Prices are very competitive. We are using their maintenance program too!
Description of Work: We did a complete renovation of our front and back yard. Their services included detailed design work with the work outlined in phases, estimates and time-lines for each phase and given lots of variety all tailored to our request. Their work included many french drains, saving a 70 year old oak and rerouting it's feeding system to get the roots to grow away from the driveway. Helped in redesigning our driveway to accommodate our hideous drainage problem. Preparing the ground for all new plantings and sod- included aerating, fertilizing, new layers of soil with proper pH balance, and managing irrigation to assure as much as possible, proper growing environment. They planted trees, plants, bushes, reworked beds, made an herb garden for us, designed and installed path lighting, up-lighting and moon beams from trees to highlight our property and home. 99% of this work is done by hand to provide proper control and finest quality of service. The changes are dramatic and mesmerizing to us!
