Terminix - Charlotte -Termite & Pest Control

I called Terminix to set up an appointment. I spoke with a very nice and helpful young lady, Lee Ann. She explained all their types of service and scheduled an appointment. The technician arrived early on the date and time scheduled. He was very nice. He explained what he was going to do. I asked a few questions which he answered. They are to return every three months for additional spraying. I was happy with the results on this first visit and based on that I would recommend them.

I advised I was looking for a second quote on termite removal service and sent two messages via Angie's list, but never received the courtesy of a reply. I did advise that I can only meet with someone after 6:00PM or on the weekend (due to my work schedule), but if that was a problem they still should have contacted me to let me know something. No response at all is very unprofessional in my opinion, thus the "F".

They are fine. We have had no problem with them. They come when they are supposed to and they do what they are supposed to. We have not had termite problems. It’s just an ongoing contract.

Their technician is prompt, courteous and efficient. If I notice any problems in between regular treatments, all I have to do is call and they stop by and take care of it at no additional charge.

I have had no spiders or other little bugs inside the house this winter. Usually I have quite a variety of bugs inside during the winter. The terminex employees were all very pleasant and seemed to know what they were doing. someone from the terminex office came out and inspected the termite barrier stakes and made sure I was happy. I am looking forward to their service every four months!

I have been using them for about six years. They come out every quarter. They are average. They have been pretty good.

Terrible quality of service I called them to come back out twice for the same problem in a short period of time. Technician not helpful, did almost nothing. Last visit he just put out glue traps. The last scheduled visit he showed up with a 2 gallon pump sprayer to do the exterior and was here and gone in about the time it would take me to walk around the house. I felt like he was there to do nothing more than hard sell me on their Termite service. He spent more time trying to sell me that than actually doing the service I paid for.

Andy, their technician that comes out here is just really nice guy, and works with you to accommodate when you're going to be home so that he can get here and such. Overall, he's very personable and knowledgeable.

They came highly recommended by some people I work with. It has not been a positive experience and it has been expensive. I had them back out after the inital spray because we were still seeing quite a few spiders. The man that came out was very unprofessional and told me he is not getting paid for this job because they are paid by commission. He also did not go into our attic as promised to spray for spiders.

We got an appt. scheduled pretty quickly but they called the morning of and cancelled. Rescheduled and he was late but once we got them out here the service was great. Sprayed inside and out. Seemed to know his bugs and what was needed. Even got rid of all the spider webs. Thank you.

I am not from NC so the "palmetto bug" concept does not go over well for me. Since using Terminix, I have not seen one more in my house or around the outside of my house/patio! I live in an older home with wooded trees everywhere and they are nowhere to be found. The guys are nice and do not wear shoes in the house. They spray in the attic and crawl space which is great.

So this is hard to believe...but we had our windows replaced and a few hours later we noticed a swam of termites dead in our master bath tub. Grossest thing I have ever seen. It was 10pm at night when we realized this and I obviously freaked out. We bagged up some and took them to Home Depot where some nice employees talked to us after their shift. They confirmed they were swarming termites! I called Terminx right away and they came out to check out the house. They did not see any signs around the house of where they could have come from but it sounds like the banging around the bedroom windows alerted them and made them swarm! Terminix was really good at explaining how termites work...how the treatment would work..and best of all it came with a gaurentee! They planted these green base stations in the ground all around the house. My husband can mow over them and they dont stand out since they are green. I am very pleased with the services performed by Terminix. I haven't seen any since they came out and sprayed the area we thought they were!! Thank you Terminix!

My experience for them was a complete disaster. I told them I was having construction done and I had some areas where I did not want them to set traps but they set them anyway. I had to remove those traps myself from the areas where I told them not to put them. They left the debris from the traps in my yard and my dog even got hurt because of the mess they left around. They did pay for the vet bill. I was really frustrated when they changed the terms of the contract on me. Originally they said they would have people coming out every 9 weeks to check, but after I already paid they said they would only come out at the beginning and end of the year. When I tried to get a hold of the corporate office they were very dismissive of my problem telling me that the offices are independent and had no interest in helping me at all.

They do what they said they're going to do, do their best to get rid of the termites and we had don't have any now and with the inspection for many years it was really good. If he found any leaks or anything else even outside of what he's in there for, he does things about it. As long as I live in this house, I will use them.

After doing some research we found some competitive prices cheaper than Terminex. After some discussion, Terminex agreed to match the other verbal price we had received and we decided on them because of the positive experience we have had with them. The service crew arrived on schedule, cleaned out the crawl space and carted away the unwanted debris. They then smoothly placed their heavy duty plastic vapor barrier over the entire surface. Job went well in all respects.

Terminix Pest Control spray all around the edges outside for many bugs. They have traps for the termites to see if there are termites around. I guess the bait will tell them if there's trouble with termites. I think it is safe for children and pets. I pay every time they come, three or four times a year. I have to unlock the gate so they call to say when they will come. They are very good. The traps are outside round the borders of the house in the ground so it's not like you can see them.

1. Terminex Representative was on time and offered to perform additional services. 2. Quarterly pest control treatments for $80/quarter with a $50 discount for first service. 3. Offered to install vapor barrier (6 mil plastic)in crawl space with 100% coverage for $750. Current vapor barrier only covers 40% of crawl space. 4. Quarterly pest control treatment scheduled for Monday, January 14th. If time permits, will install vapor barrier same day.

Service tech did a good, thorough job.
