On time. The weather slowed but it went well. Some issues with the gutters but they were fixed promptly.

He was outstanding and gave us a very fair price. The quality and responsiveness was very good. He came back to make sure we were satisfied and he also came in between to check if the people who worked for him, were doing it right. I will be having him come back again for some other work.

Called to get an estimate in several categories. Prompt and professional estimate given 8-19-11, I chose the work I wanted to have done and notified them. At first they asked if they could postpone my job until after Labor Day. I agreed, since I was in no rush. They emailed me a couple of times stating someone was on vacation, then someone was sick and they would get back to me. I contacted them a couple of times as well. They never got back to me or completed the work.

Overall pleased. 2 weeks late getting started and then more delays. Very happy now that it's done.

They performed just as they said they would, on time and excellent quality workmanship.

1 crew for roofing were punctual, hard working and cleaned up nicely afterwards. The painting crew were friendly, polite and did a great job!

Not good. Early Sept '11 I called Southend Painting to set up an appointment for a price quote for repair and painting of my house. The company salesman "Billy"came out to the house and reviewed the work to be done and gave me a quote of $3150.00.After several scheduling delays due to weather, and other unexplained events, a crew showed up at the house without notice.Their vehicles were unmarked, they had no uniforms or ID and did not speak english.However they had planted a sign on the front grass, indicating "Southend Painting". I called the company to let them know I did not appreciate how they were handling business.Greg, who said he was the crew leader on the job apologized, and gave me his cell number to call if I had any future problems or concerns.After the power washing was done there was several areas on the house where the old paint began to peel. As evidenced by the results of the Southend paint job, the house exterior was not properly scraped and primed. The newly painted surfaces were rough and uneven, Some areas were peeling. The finish was sloppy. White trim paint was on the gray boards and gray paint was on the trim. Some surface spots were not covered.Paint was spilled on the newly power washed deck and porch, and on some areas around the house on the grass. I took pictures of these problems and sent them to Southend.I also advised them that I would withhold payment for the painting until this matter was resolved. I requested my bank to put a stop payment on the check I had issued to Southend. However, I offered to pay Southend for the replacement of the damaged boards.As soon as Southend received notice of the stop payment Todd Cahill, owner of Southend called me on the phone and began to insult and berate me. He said my house was old and in poor condition, and that I should not have expected a better job.He made references to a job like this being done in the "hood" and stated that all I wanted was a discount on the work or not to pay at all. I told him that was not so, and that he should be careful with his words. I also asked him to come out to see the work for himself.Cahill said a crew would come and do "touch ups", But if I didn't pay the full amount he would put a mechanical lien on my house. I told him "touch-ups would not be satisfactory. The job requires adequate scraping and priming of the wood surfaces before painting or "touch-ups".I would like to see a fair resolution to this matter with the assistance of Angie's list CRP or I will seek legal action. I have previously submitted a report on Southend's very poor service. However I did not mention that the company also replaced a section of gutter that was bent and the cause of rain water damage to Sideboards which they were replaced by them.Gutter section was not properly installed and rain has since the work gotten behind the gutter and soaked the boards after each rain. I have not and will not ever call Southend back for any work. I believe that they May have some teams of workers that do better work than some teams. But overall. Their customer service is very poor, and their standards for good work leaves much to be desired. Southend should not be listed on Angie's list, or for that matter allowed to conduct business in the way they do.

Overall it went well, on time, good quality.

The work was done very professionally. Work commenced 2 days after contract was signed and completed within 3 working days. They were very careful and the finished paint work looks beautiful. I used this company because they had painted my interior 3 years ago, and the interior work was also excellent. Prices are competitive. Estimates are itemized, so you know what you are being charged for.

Painters on time, efficient, courteous & did the job excellently.

Originally I was happy with the work. In the spring I noticed spots where it was peeling. The project manager came out and told me it shouldn’t be doing that. He told me to leave the remaining can of paint from the original job (only about 1/3 full) out so that the painters could take it to get more matched paint for the touch-up. After a few months, they finally sent 2 young people out. They sanded and used the remainder of the old paint to cover the spots which proved to be quite inadequate. When I asked them why they hadn’t gone to get more paint as I had been told that they would, they informed me that they had no money to buy it. I have been in contact with this company and the project manager numerous times to get this resolved.

They were very late and constantly switching appointments to even start the project. They came with the wrong paint colors the first time. The day they were suppose to come they were suppose to come at 8:00 but didn?t come till 3:00. Supervisor said it would take 2 1/2 days because it would take 2 coats of paint. They said they could do 2 coats of paint at the same time when they actually showed up to do the work. I paid them and they left. When the paint dried there were streaks because I put a very light color of the white and they really only put one coat of paint. I called and called and on July 5 I flew in and no one showed up for their appointment. I called the office several times and they always said someone was on their way. The following day they sent a supervisor and he came and looked at the work and said that the place needs to be repainted. The field manager came and said that someone will contact me and they will come. They said that they paid someone to do the work for me but that person didn't show up. I talked with the owner of the company and he said they would get it done. It has been almost 5 months since they finished the painting and at this point I don?t think they are going to come through to fix the problem. They always tell me they are going to fix the problem but there a not true to their word. I have called everyone at the office and no one is returning my calls. **Update 8/16/11 - They have since come out to repaint the house and fix the problems. They sent out the same guy that came out the first time. He did admit that it needed to be fixed. He was very polite and apologized.

On the BBB he has a D grade with 7 reasons listed. I will be going with one of the other companies that provided an estimate.

The painters were on time, nice but the trim work was neat and fixed every thing. I asked of him. Gustavo was very nice.

Painters were on time or informed me if they were going to be late.

Late start first day set the job schedule off but focused Crew's work brought pleasing results.

He worked very well, multi tasking to accomplish the job in a reasonable time. Rigo washed the entire house (1story) the first day for about 10 hours straight with one short break, big job for a man. He did a excellent work and good clean up
