The task was completed quickly and with no issues. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again

On the positive side, we had no idea the connections on a fuse/electrical box could loosen over time. It was a good find and easy fix by the Roby electrician. On the negative side, which was an assumption on my part, I read the ad as a whole house surge protector and whole house electrical inspection but it only included an inspection of the electrical box so that was disappointing. I don't really know if we got a good deal on this or not for $199. I expected some kind of house electrical inspection report with items of concern noted or all OK's checked off. I'm sure if I had called Roby before ordering the Big Deal, they would have told me in more detail what was included.

Brad did a great job installing the canister lights and a dimmer switch, He made sure the lights were centered on the island and the switch was appropriately situated evenly with one on an adjacent wall. Everything was left clean and neat after the work on the ceiling and wall. The ballast on the old light has restored function to to the light, though it does hum a bit: he explained that it's an older type ballast fixture and they can do that (I don't recall it humming in the past before it stopped working, however).

The crew was on time and professional. The estimated time for the job was accurate. Scheduling was a breeze!

The installation went very well. The technichian arrived on time, installed everything to my liking and even cleaned up my countertops and floors. The only problem was he broke a wall plate during the installation process and was not able to replace it with a like plate. After running back to the shop to pick one up, he came back and installed it. Though it does not match my other plates, it is behind a television and I can live with it. I will definitely use them again, should I need further work.

Guy showed up close to the time he said he would. About 5 min late, but not a big deal to me. Was quick polite, and cleaned up after himself. Took about an hour to do all the work. My only complaint is the price was way high. I just used them because they were the only company that could make it out that day. So I paid for convenience.

I bought two "Big Deal" as a gift for my mom. One was to install a whole house surge protector and the other was for 2 man hours of electrical work. When the team got there my mom was impressed they were in uniformed and and knowlegeable about what they needed to do. She had a flood motion sensored light put in the rear of the house and switched the light on her front porch to a dusk to dawn light fixture. they completed the work in a timly manner and did not try to sale her anything else. They did a great job on both projects. we were very pleased with the work and would use them again.

Roby Electric did a great job installing recessed lighting for me using my Big Deal purchase. They even came over in advance to look at the situation and make recommendations. I wasn't happy to learn that extra holes might be needed in my drywall to run the wiring (not Roby's fault at all), but I was very grateful to know about it in advance. The technician was running late, but I was notified well in advance of my appointment time, given the option of rescheduling, and he ultimately arrived sooner than anticipated. Most impressively, the technician saved me a good bit of hassle and money by suggesting an alternative installation technique that wouldn't damage my drywall. I was spared drywall damage and, because I was spared that repair expense, I ended up spending less for the job than I had anticipated. That doesn't happen often! I was very impressed with Roby and I would call them again in a heartbeat when I need electrical services.

All was great. We tried to jam in as much as we could in the 2 hours we had from the Angie's List deal. We accomplished everything we needed and got detailed answers for other concerns/projects. Very helpful. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

.Serviceman was extremely polite and helpful. He knew what I was going to have done, and came prepared, so no time was wasted going to a store to make purchases. He cleaned up after himself very well and made it clear that Roby Electric appreciated the opportunity to do the work.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon for the installation of an outside electrical box. The appointment was made easily; the electrician arrived on time and was courteous and professional. Overall, the service was fast and easy. I would use Roby again for this type of service.

The electrician arrived on time. Unfortunately he did not have any of the materials required to put in my floor outlets. He also said he couldn't put the outlet outside, but that maybe he could run an outlet in the inside of the garage under the electrical box. Then the young man left to go buy the parts he would need to do the job and said he would have to go in to Charlotte to get them. We live outside Charlotte in Huntersville. He returned about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours later with the parts for the floor outlets. That apparently ate up the first $99.00 that I had paid to Angies list. When he finished putting in the two outlets he said he had to go on another call and didn't have time to put in my 30 amp. Then he gave me the bill of $292.50. So after paying Angie's list the $99.00 initially the two outlets cost $391.00! I asked him to call his supervisor to be sure that was correct as I didn't think that his trip to another town to get the parts should count as part of the service. He knew what service he would have to do that day and he should have come with the parts. He called and said the bill was correct from the time he first showed up until the time he finished. I payed the bill of coarse. The electrician was courteous and did do a nice job on installing the two floor outlets, but certainly no bargain at $391.00! Later I had my builders electrician come out and he put the 30 amp outlet on the outside of my house in less than an hour. He was surprised to hear that the Roby electrician said it couldn't be done. I hope this was just an unusual experience and that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Looking back at the situation I should have called the Roby representative the moment the electrician needed to go shopping UPDATED REVIEW: A representative of Roby Electric called after they received this review. He told me my experience was beneath their standard and apoligized for my poor experienc. He also refunded money for the hours the electrician went shopping for my parts. He was very sincere and I was so impressed that he offered this refund, but even more important an apology. I would now use them again without hesitation. I've changed the ratings to reflect Roby Electric's response.

It was unpredictable and still not completed. I bought the Big Deal package of 6 LED lights installed for $999. The landscape lighting project manager came out exactly as scheduled and we discussed the deal. I wanted 3 lights in front and 3 lights in back. He expected to just put 6 lights in front, however agreed to put them as requested. He said it would include a new electrical box under the house. I had ordered lighting fixtures from another company that I wanted Roby to install since they would be here for this project. The project manager said he would sent me a report on what we agreed on but it never came. I took way too long for my fixtures to come but that was not Roby's issue. When the fixtures finally came, I called to schedule Roby and told them my concern on not hearing from the project manager. Roby was having issues with their server and I could not e-mail or receive e-mail. We were finally able to talk and he had forgotten what we agreed on but remembered after discussing it. We scheduled a date but later he called and had scheduled an additional day on a day I was scheduled to work. I e-mailed him saying not to come but they came anyway. My husband was here and did his best to communicate our instructions. The quality of the installation was very good but it was eased by the fact we had existing pipes to use for 3 of the front lights. I was surprised to see the electrical box was installed outside and not in a covered area or under the house. I intend to follow up on that concern. Also, the LED light control is supposed to be preset to be on at night but we noticed they are on during the day. I called the project manager who said he was coming out that day to check them but don't know if he did or not, they are still on during the day. The placement and quality of the lights is very good but it was not the wonderful experience I anticipated. The original estimate of this project with the addition of some other work included the cost of this project, even though I had already paid for it and communicated my coupon code to Roby. This indicated to me there may be internal communication problems. I have received another invoice from them that is very difficult to understand. Do:plan to be sure you know exactly what you are getting and where. Be sure you are present if you are the one who initiated the project. Don't: Jump on an Angie's List Deal, shop around. I definitely paid too much for what I got. There is a Angie's List Deal right now for the same thing at half the price.

The tech that came out was excellent. He was patient and explained everything that he was doing. He also gave me recomendations pertaining to the layout of my outside lights.

It went well. I purchased Angie's List deal to install new electrical outlets. I wanted one installed on floor under desk and they did not bring a floorbox with them so had to schedule second trip to do that one but they did go ahead and install a new outlet upstairs for me and then scheduled a second trip to do the one on the floor. Very pleased with service and price.

They made it very easy to schedule an appt., showed up on schedule and did the work professionally.

We have used Roby several times and the have always been on time and professional. Bought a Angies Big Deal, 2hrs electrical for $99. Roby arrived at noon. The tech started by removing a ceiling fan from the guest room, and replaced with a new fan. He then exchanged a ceiling light in our foyer. I then asked him to install the old fan in the garage. I was suprised that he was able to do that much in the 2hr time frame. I had a slight charge for a hanger bracket and supplies. GREAT JOB

I went great. They did more than we expected and we had a $20.00 off coupon that was on Angie's list so the pricing was even better than expected. The man was very helpful with calming my fears of any fire hazard or etc.

Work was done on time and to our specifications. They were even able to utilize existing wiring so they did not have to "tear" down/apart anything to get the work done. Would recommend to anyone and will use again for future needs.

They did an excellent job. Everything was good. He was here on time. He was friendly and did whatever I asked him to do. The only thing he didn't do was hang some chandeliers that I got in France. They had to be rewired and brackets were needed to Americanize them. They gave me the phone number of a dealer that does that kind of work. He was here all day. I would definitely use them again.

He repaired my lights outside. It seems that he did a fair job. I just need to check that lights outside are still working.

He did a great job. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. There was some additional charges for parts but the price was reasonable.
