I had just moved here from Virginia and purchased this house, and in my last house in Virginia I had an attic fan that helped a little bit with the heat. And since you had such a good offer ( I knew how much I paid in Virginia), I took it. A very young man came, he was knowledgeable and he did it. He ended up putting nails or something, I didn't go up there to see, and they came through the ceiling so there are four little black spots now on my ceiling, but that's not a big deal. He was clean, he came when he said he would come, and he explained things. I had another problem later on that I called them for and it turns out that it was the power company and I wasn't getting full power coming to the house. But it was a decent charge for them coming and diagnosing it and that guy was also very pleasant. It wasn't spectacular, but it was good and I would use them again. They were prompt, they did what they needed to do neatly and well, and I was very satisfied. And I did indeed use them for another problem and I think that they charged me fairly for it and were decent.

A thunderstorm had knocked down a tree and the power line to our house. The power company replaced the line but afterwards our major appliances and A/C weren't working properly. We weren't sure what was going on, so we called Roby. They were able to get someone out to our house that same afternoon. They quickly diagnosed the problem, explained what may have happened and how to fix it. I relayed this information to the power company and they came out that night and repaired the line. I've used Roby Electric in the past for replacing flood lights and installing an additional receptacle for our treadmill. They did a great job then and I knew I could call them with our power issue and get a fast, trustworthy response.

Very professional and work was done on time and quickly. Quotation given at beginning of job. Payment expected at end of job. No deposit required. Price was exactly as quoted.

They came when it was very hot and worked in our attic, which was great. They were very good. We will be using again in the future. We have referred them to our neighbor too, who will be using them. He even made sure a new light switch he installed matched all our current switches.

Everything was fantastic. Starting with the free estimate visit to the two many crew that performed the installation. The job was done quickly, neat, and everyone was very professional. I've changed my go to electricians to Roby based on this experience and will for sure be calling for future work. I also used the reviews on Angies list as a reference prior to having this work done.

Very impressed with service and professionalism. The job took almost a week and we were pleased with the time and cost. Even with several hiccups in our renovation process they were adaptive and responsive. Would absolutely use them for any electrical work in the future.

Was totally impressed that a gentleman (Russell) met with me at the rental house less than an hour after my initial call. Three days later work began - on time. I had a renter scheduled to move in the day before the work could be scheduled, thus I had to provide an overnight motel stay for him. Work was to be completed by 3 p.m., which was our only problem. Evidently the unexposed concrete block walls of the house were not taken into consideration and presented a huge problem that added a week to the initial 7 hour job. Unfortunately, I was forced to provide 6 more nights to the motel stay, as my tenant came from out of state with his personal belongings. This caused much stress and inconvenience. The good news is the professional manner Roby's staff handled the problem. They were extra nice and understanding, split the cost of the motel bill and added an extra outlet in the bath with no additional charge. For the record, I had an estimate from another company - more money, less changes, took forever, etc. As a matter of fact, I made the call to Roby because it was taking so long for the other company to get back to me. In the future, if I have need for an electrician, I will most definitely call Roby. I could not be more please with the job done.

Very prompt and professional service. They did a great job explaining how to change the light bulb (where to buy, etc.) which was very helpful.

Very good. I would not change anything. With the work we needed done, James & Tory told me that there make be sheet rock damage but they were very careful and there was no damage at all.

See above. I believe he repaired one outlet. No I didn't feel I got my moneys worth.

Electrician arrived on time with his assistant. They were very professional and took great care with my home and new chandelier. They had to relocate the wires to the junction box which had been relocated for pendant lighting. The chandelier was quite heavy and they determined that the junction box could not support it. They modified the junction box to support the weight of the chandelier.

Very courteous. Was on time and cleaned up after himself.

I called the company needing a ceiling fan remote that is hard wired into the wall replaced. The first time I called, the operator said someone would call me back and never did. About a week later, I called again and explained the situation and provided a picture of the broken product. I asked what the best course of action was from a cost stand point (either replace the part or re-wire the switch to operate normally). They tried selling me on re-wiring the switch which would include drywall damage and a cost of $300+ vs. a $35 replacement part and whatever it would cost for the labor. So, we agreed to part replacement and scheduled a date and time. I followed up about a couple of days before the appointment to make sure that they had the product to install as I did not want them to come out to the house and not have the right parts. Sure enough, they didn't even order the part and if we had kept the appointment I would have been a waste of everyone's time. So, I asked them to order the part and call me back to reschedule. I have not heard from them since. They seemed very unprofessional as far as responsiveness and preparedness. It felt like the job was too small for them, and wasn't worth their time. Which is fine, but be up front about that and I could have found someone else sooner. I will not be contacting them again for future service.

I had been having issues with my AC compressor tripping and shutting off. I'd had the AC technician out a few times - the last time he replaced a part that was worn - but it tripped again. Thinking it was perhaps an electrical issue, I called 3 electricians out to take a look - Sean at Roby was one of them. Unfortunately, there was a scheduling mishap and he didn't show during the first appointment time - which was annoying because I had come home from work to wait for him Luckily I was able to salvage the time because I had to have a plumbing issue fixed. He did come out the following day and ended up not charging me for taking a look at the situation (which was very nice considering the day before). He - like the other two - said it was definitely not an electrical issue. Scheduling mishaps can happen and I've used Roby before, so I would use them again.

Great job from start to finish. Person scheduling the job was courteous, flexible and responsive. They easily accommodated schedule changes due to my business travel. The electrician...I think his name was Chris...was on time and professional with a good sense of humor. That day it was pouring down rain and muddy. He crawled under the house, installed the outlet outside cleaned up and even left enough cable to move the electrical box if needed. No complaining about the rain or the work. A complete professional. I would recommend and use them again.

Their service was okay, they do what they're supposed to do so. They did the job a year ago, it's the same time that I purchased the coupon. They came when they said they would and they fixed the problem. There was an electrical problem, I don't remember what it was, it was a long time ago. It wasn't too long that I've waited for them to come fix the problem. We're not living there anymore so I wouldn't have the opportunity to use their services again.

Chris came out and fixed a few bathroom lights for me. I had some time left so he hooked up a ceiling light and fixed my broken kitchen light as well. I was very impressed.

Everything worked out well. We were pleased with the work performed and would defintely recommend them.

I called 5 companies on Monday to get an estimate on having a ceiling fan replaced and wiring checked. Roby Electric was the only company that responded. They originally scheduled an appointment for Thursday but had a cancellation on Tuesday. Jimmy arrived right on time and was courteous, professional and efficient. He told me the existing ceiling fan motor was bad and replaced the fan with one I purchased. I was also very surprised and pleased at the reasonable cost of services. I would definitely call Roby again and will refer them to friends. This was my first experience with Angie's List and I am thrilled!

I called them and they came out and arrived on time. They did very good work. I am very happy that I now have light in my office. After they installed the lights, the drywall contractor came and fixed the hole they had created in order to install the lights. Very professional. I would use again.
