It went great! They actually came earlier than originally planned which was great for me that day.The provider they sent carefully checked out the fans and was very helpful in giving me tips on what you should and should not do concerning electrical circuits.

They did a great job. They came when they said they would. The electrician was professional and courteous. I would use Roby Electric again.

They were efficient, pleasant, punctual, the price was great, and everything about them was very impressive. They had to get the motor, and he got back quickly and there was not extra charge for the delay.

Did not use as schedule did not meet requirements

The electrician was great and did what he needed to do. Top notch! I was however unhappy with Roby and Angies List's Big Deal. I spent $200 for 2 hours of labor and received only 1 hour as that is all that was needed. For that I paid out of pocket another $50 for parts to replace 1 outlet and install grounds in 2 more. I asked if I could use my remaining hour to install an outdoor outlet and was told I would need a separate quote from the sales team (which never called me ) for the outdoor outlet and it would involve another visit. This was extremely disappointing and I feel ripped off.

Electrician was very professional. He called ahead of time to let me know when he would arrive. He arrived at the scheduled time. He went right to work to do the job. He was very efficient and tried to stay within the two hour window. He cleaned up very carefully after he completed the work.

My service turned out just fine, and my needed repair was completed to my expectation. However, in making the appointment, it turned out that the Angie's List ad deal was not really meant to cover repairs. However, due to the vagueness of the ad, Roby Electric honored the ad and said they'd just apply the cost of the deal against the diagnosed repair cost. (They also indicated that they had taken the ad down a day after I purchased the deal due to the confusion being caused.) When the technician arrived, he was friendly and efficient in diagnosing the expired fuse. Given that his normal truck was in the shop, he was driving a loaner and did not have the needed fuse on board. However, he quickly departed and purchased the needed fuse and returned to complete the repair. Completely satisfied with the service and felt like the cost was fair, but the original Angie's List Deal offering should not have been written the way it was.

The Roby technician took time to understand the problem and offer a few theories. He then spent a lot of time carefully investigating these theories and did find a couple potential culprits. While he was in the breaker box he noticed that my sump pump had not been turned on (this is a new home and I suppose nobody ever bothered to activate it or the back up alarm!). The tech took the extra time to investigate and resolved everything. I was very happy with the service. Roby was prompt and communicated very well. I felt that they provided a premium level service quality. UPDATE (11/24/15): 3 months later, there have been no problems with my breakers tripping since the Roby technician serviced them.

We wanted to install a new light fixture more centered over the dining room table than the old one was. The electrician showed up on time and helped mark the exact location over the center of the table before helping me move the dining room table out of the way. It took about 1 hr 45 mins to cut a new hole, run the wires over, remove the existing fixture and install the new one. He was very professional. The shock was the price - $366. I really wish I'd looked on Angies List beforehand. I could've saved $175.

Young man arrived on time as expected, was polite and professional and went right to work. This was on a rental house and I could not stay the whole time (2hrs) he was there, but he called me promptly when he was done as requested and reported what he had done and completed. I would use Roby Electric again.

He really lucked out. started in the middle and isolated the run that had the short. He was able to bypass the line and we had electricity again. Can't complain other than price was a little high for less than an hours service. No credit, nor partial refund. Guy was really nice though.

Ronald and James did a great job. They listened to what we needed, made some recommendations, and went to work. We are very pleased with the work they did and would highly recommend Roby Electric.

He showed up almost on time. I can't complain here. At first he didn't know if he could replace the thermostat. Then he was looking for a breaker everywhere and couldn't find it. Eventually he said that he would work around it. Replaced the thermostat warned me that he didn't know if it would fix the problem or not which I understood completely. When he came back with the invoice it was twice as much as the estimate I was given by this company. He explained that they charge 175.00 dollars just to come out and work for the first half an hour. Replacing the thermostat took him around 20 minutes. Even after I told him that I was given an estimate of 99.00 dollars for a whole hour of work plus I bought 49.00 dollars deal which will be deducted from the price I still had to write a check for 109.00 dollars plus 49.00 they already had. He left very unhappy without cleaning any mess he created replacing the thermostat and taking the key to my house with him. The thermostat is not put properly since it moves on the wall freely and every time it moves it wipes any settings and I have to start all over again. Bad bad experience. I had this company came out to my house before numerous times. You will see my reviews giving them an A but after this experience I don't think I will use them again. Natalie

I scheduled an appointment five days in advance and was given a two hour window. Towards the end of that window, I called the office and they had no record of our appointment. I will not use this company in the future and I would not recommend.

They fixed the transformer (there was an extra photoelectric sensor I didn't know about!) and also replaced/re-wired a 3-way light switch inside which never worked correctly (wound up someone wired a 2-way light switch incorrectly and dangerously into a 3-way spot!). I am very happy with their work; they were quick, honest, and fair. I plan on using Roby in the future for any further electrical work and recommend them highly to anyone in the Charlotte area.

The guys that did the work were very helpful. They answered questions and explained what they were doing.

Everything was super-- couldn't have asked for better. A gentleman named Brian came to perform the service. He was on time, kind, and professional.

This was an introductory Angies List deal. Everything was handled smoothly and the electrician was very professional, friendly and informative.The company was professional too. So, everything was as promised and I am happy to have a few pesky problems eliminated. My only concern in the future would be the hourly rate (which is quoted in 1/2 hour segments. (I dont know exactly what the going rate is for an electrician,) but if they are competitive in price, I would certainly recommend them and hire them again.
