Coupon promo for 2 hours work for $135. Needed bathroom exhaust fan installed through the attic and considered it a bargain if it could be done in two hours. Aaron, the most knowledgeable and professional serviceman I've ever met, had the job done and spotlessly cleaned up in an hour, leaving time to install a new kitchen fixture and repair a broken wall outlet, as well as troubleshoot a problem circuit. Amazing, outstanding work and communication. Full price would have been $350 and still a bargain with complete confidence.

This job took 3.5 hours with my help. While there are scenarios where this task might require substantial effort, this is not one of them. The wiring work was done in an open attic with no drilling. I helped measure, fish wires, flip circuit breakers etc. No telling how long it would have taken otherwise. When they quoted me $99 for the first 1/2 hour and $79 per 1/2 hour thereafter, I was assuming a reasonable amount of time to do the job. This is a job I would normally do myself but I figured I could work from home and have someone else do it because I didn't have the time to spare. I got very little work done as I was assisting most of the time. Having performed very similar tasks in this same house, I estimate this job would have taken me maybe 2 hrs by myself and 1.5 hours with an assistant. This experience wasn't all bad. The tech was quite courteous and punctual, the materials were reasonably priced, and the time he took to go pick up switches from the hardware store was subtracted. When it came time to pay the bill I spoke to someone in the office, Janay I believe. She told me my total was $537. When I objected she reluctantly agreed to give me a $20 discount since I was an Angie's List member. I told her that the charge was still outrageous and she took off another $20. This brought the bill to $497. The moral of the story is when you deal with Roby Electric Inc., the less experienced and more ill prepared the tech is the more they charge you. I chose this company because I thought being listed on Angie's List meant I could trust them. Lesson learned!

Electrician called ahead and arrived on time. Surveyed work needed prior to starting in order to eliminate back and forth to truck for supplies. Respectful of my property and laid cloth on floor in work area of kitchen. Cleaned up after - would not know electrician had been in the house. Good workmanship and tested lighting prior to leaving.

Great experience. The technician quickly diagnosed and repaired the light fixture. He also gave me instruction on future installs. he helped me avoid an issue with wiring for outdoor lights. He completed the work that I had erroneously started promptly and to my satisfaction. We will definitely use again.

Great! Electrical was prompt with appointment time and called to let me know he was on the way. He was professional and courteous. I expected this to be a wiring issue, but he quickly isolated it to a remove frequency issue and was able to correct it quickly. He also took the time to educate me so that I would be better able to troubleshoot in the future. I'm grateful that our lights work properly now!

I must say I'm slightly disappointed that the lights are not in a line. I had planned on having them do 5 more lights in a different room. Not sure that will be the case unless this is corrected. I noticed it, wife did not. However someone noticed it at out party the next night. Now she is upset :( Tech was very nice, did seem to be rushing. Based on this review. I am hoping this is fixed. I will wait and see/update......

Technician came out and performed job under the amount of time that I had prepaid for on Angie's list. I ended paying about the same I would have without pre-paying. We did use the time left over to ask for quotes on the installation of additional lighting fixtures and to find out what some "mistery switches" did in our house. Technician was very helpful, informative, professional (uniformed, protective shoe covers, on time etc). Will use again.

The technician was punctual, calling about 10 minutes before arrival. It turned out he lived nearby, and I was his first appointment of the day. He was very professional, neat, and very efficient.

The two gentlemen who came to my house changed this fixture quickly and easily. They were very professional as well. They took great care to make sure any dust, etc. that was created was cleaned up. Highly recommended.

He has already gone 2 hours over the deal that I paid for. I found out that they charge twice as much as other electricians in the area. When he told me that he was going to go over the two hours, I had no choice but to continue as I had no lighting. The project is still not complete and will probably take another 2 hours. He did not have what he needed, to do the job, on his truck but he knew what type of work he was coming to do.

Roby Electric made time in their schedule to completely re-wire our house when it was determined we needed to replace the current electrical system. Their office staff was professional and kept us up to date on the work schedule. The electrician's were pleasant and patiently answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has any electrical needs.

We purchased the $99 light fixture replacement deal. Roby Electric was very patient, polite and professional with me as I had to re-schedule several times. My husband had always replaced our lights/ceiling fans in the past. However, we wanted to hire a professional electrician for our new Restoration Hardware light that had three corded pendants that needed to be hung with varying lengths. Roby's Columbia Area Manager, Paul Gillespie, arrived on time and finished the job in about 40 or 50 minutes. My light involved sizing three different cords, and he was able to do it quickly and accurately, since he had installed so many similar pendant lights. We will definitely use Roby Electric again for ceiling fan and light installations!

All went well. Came when they said they would, very professional and installed the complete home surge protection without any problems.

When we purchased our home there were two recess lights over the cabinets in the kitchen desk area. These lights were directly over the cabinets and served no purpose. They needed to be relocated so the lights could actually give illumination to the desk area. Roby Electric did just that. Kept the work area covered for easy clean up. Used the ceiling drywall cutout from the new location to cover area were the lights were originally. Of course this area will need to be plastered and painted but their work will make it less costly in the end.

Everything went as expected.

They were very professional and knowledgeable..I would use their service again and also refer others to use their services...The lead technician was very nice...wonderful company!

Things went fine. They performed the job pretty quickly after we called them. They did the work fine, but my husband actually had to go out and talk to the guy because when they put in what they needed to do, they kind of left a big hole on the wall. My husband went out and asked if he was going to fix that. He did fix it. He did not charge us anything extra for patching up the hole and he fixed it that same day when my husband pointed it out. They were pretty responsive. He was here on time. He was here when he said he was going to come. He just kind of had a real attitude about patching the hole. They probably should know that they are going to do stuff like that. They probably need to have the proper materials to patch walls or anything like that if they are going to dig into a wall. I might consider using them again.

This was a big deal purchase and they did good. I think he could not do a few other things because the time constraint was the problem. There were a couple of things that we wanted them to look at. He looked at them and said he did not have the parts on his truck which would mean he would have to go to a home improvement store and then come back. All of the travel time would be calculated for the three hour charge. We decided not to do that. He was nice enough to write down what we should look like at the hardware store so we finished it ourselves. He did the main jobs we asked him to do first then gave us an evaluation on how to do the other jobs we needed done. I think the price was a little on the higher side. The quality was good but the flexibility was limited.

The job took exactly two hours and was completed per specifications.

The electrician was very respectful of my home, wearing shoe covers and he did a very nice and clean installation and the outlets work fine.

Excellent experience. Very timely and professional. I wish we had had a larger list of things to do because the electrician completed our tasks with time to spare.
