Description of Work: Installed a generator transfer switch. The technician was early, professional and experienced. He knew exactly what he was doing and didn't waste any time. My problem with Roby Electric was with the person who answered the phone and scheduled my appt. I called prior to purchasing the Angie's list deal and explained exactly in detail what I needed done. I asked if this could be done in the 2 hour time frame that was included in the deal. She said she'd talk to a tech and call back. She did in fact call back and stated she talked to electrician and it would be done in 2 hours, however if it went over it would be $69 per half hour. It was evident at the end of the 2 hours that the job would not be complete. I was told by the tech that he wished they wouldn't tell customers it was a 2 hour job because it was always a good 4 hour install. I even had the box mounted on the wall and the area cleared of obstructions. The work was excellent, but when I expect to pay $99 and have to write a check for another $350 on top of that, I get more than a little ticked off. I may use them again because it was quality work, but I will expect a written guaranteed quote up front.

Description of Work: The rear exterior outlets were not working, even after checking breaker and resetting GFI. Roby had a very polite, professional phone presence and scheduled me quickly (called on a Thursday, had appointment on a Monday). The electrician called a couple of hours before our scheduled time and said he could come then or wait until our appointment window. I told him he could come early, and he arrived about 15-20 mins later. Turned out the GFCI outlet on our screened porch had burned out. He replaced it and the problem was fixed. He said he'd re-set our landscape light timer as well (serviced by the outdoor circuit that was not working), but that was not done accurately and we fixed it the next day. Overall, very good service, but the problem was an easy fix and I felt the cost was high - even with an Angie's List coupon.

Description of Work: The work itself was done well but things were not put back as they were and they did not clean up all the trash that was used by them. This is important as I am a senior citizen that has recently had back surgery.

Description of Work: Our dining room outlets stopped working after a "home warranty" electrician came to our home to repair an outlet in our kitchen. Unbeknownst to us, he disconnected the dining room wiring in the process. | |We had a local electrician come out and we explained the work that the prior electrician did to our kitchen outlet. This electrician looked around and determined we needed to have the dining room re-wired. | |We also had Roby Electric come out and when Jeremy from Roby Electric arrived, he checked several outlets, found the disconnected wiring and reconnected it in a matter of minutes. | |We also had a bathroom light and fan box replaced. | |It's refreshing to find a business that's honest, professional and knowledgeable. We highly recommend Roby Electric and Jeremy and will be using them for future needs. |

Description of Work: Saw the big deal on line for $199 for a $400 package and decided the surge protection would be ideal for our home. Filled out the requested dates section and later got an email to call. I called today and spoke with Janay. She informed me that they no longer stocked the (upper end) surge protectors and would need to do a special order, otherwise they would purchase from Lowes or Home Depot.( I can do that)Then I saw on Angie's List they are promoting this deal again at $249 now. Shame on me for not reading the reviews of the awful experience by others and the facts about paying more money for deal they thought was just that, A deal. I would never use that company. Donate promote something you obviously to stock to sell. Just want to get my refund and move on. Thank you.

Description of Work: Everything went fine, things took longer than I expected which seems to always be the case so I went over my alloted 2 hours and had to pay extra, but it was my choice and everything went well

Description of Work: It went pretty well. They were on time and they cleaned up. They had to bring some additional help to get both of my TV'S mounted. I world probably use them again in the future. I have referred them to my sister and she was pleased with them as well.

Description of Work: Great service and timeliness. Installed bathroom fan, bedroom fans and a monster living room fan as well as doorbell work. These guys are great!

Description of Work: replaced a switch on the dining room chandelier. I would have liked the option to have the dimmer put back on it. Replaced a bathroom plug, an overhead light at the sinks and hung a plug in lamp for me. Very efficient work.

Description of Work: The repairman was very professional. The repair was completed in 10 minutes, and it works great. Best of all, they called to find out if the repairman could come earlier than scheduled, and he did. That was great. Good customer service.

Description of Work: We called to have a ceiling fan removed and replaced with a light fixture. The representative not only did that, but also replaced a recessed light bulb in the shower. He was prompt, courteous and did a great job. We will definitely use Roby Electric again.
