He showed up early after a previous call went shorted than expected. He listed to all the back story and did some basic examination of the mower. He fixed the blade and replaced the air filter and did some cleaning and it started right up. However he was not happy with how it sounded and did some more diagnosis and discovered an oil leak, bent crank shaft, broken block, and blown started. Needless to say this mower was pretty much toast. Instead of telling me how much it would be to fix he advised that this mower was not worth saving and he proceeded to clean and put everything together as best he could. He told me the mower would work for anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours and he suggested some good brands we could buy when it finally went. He could have kept on fixing things as they popped up and this could have been a very expensive trip. However he did a great job of diagnosis and was very honest in his assessment. We will be going to him for all mower related incidents in the future.

He showed up at our house at the time he said he would. He was friendly and helped me understand some things I can do to help prolong the life of my mower. He didn't have the part on hand to replace the broken part we had, but he went out and got it and returned promptly to complete the repair. He also fully serviced the mower so that it's now running like new.

We had taken our mower that had been sitting for two years for a refurbishing service with a shop close by our home. Although it ran fine when it was last used, upon return it worked for half the yard and quit. Took it back and the same thing happened again (They claimed it had bad gas in it, draining the old gas was on their to do list the first time). Gave up on their BS and called Ricky. He inspected the mower and found that the carburetor had not been touched by the previous company - either time we took it there. He proficiently took it apart, cleaned it out and started it right up. A huge waste of money taking it to Oakhurst Sales, a blessing in disguise that led us to Ricky. Save your grief and call Ricky...he makes house calls!

this is the 4th time we have used Ricky. And as always, he is courteous, professional, and is the best in the business...a real honest gentleman. We will continue to call on him year after year and will highly recommend to any of our friends and neighbors.

rocky is very knowledgeable and personable. He did not have an air filter so he blew dirt out of the old one and reused it. He did not provide an itemized receipt for his charges.

There were several things. I had run over something that stopped the blade and belting smoke came out of it. I then turned it over to see what it was and that cause the oil to spill over everything. He basically came and cleaned it over and put a new air filter in it and figured out why the blades had actually stopped in addition to being tangled up in what I ran over. He did the tune up as well. He was very helpful. He came to my home and worked on my lawn mower in my front yard. He was there for about 45 minutes to an hour. He showed me what he had done and showed me the air filters and what kind to buy. I was very pleased with the way he approached what he did.

I used this vendor many times for servicing our old lawn mowers after much abuse. He is always very prompt and does an outstanding job each time.

He is really dependable. I haven't had any issues with his work. I would give him pretty high marks. I would use him in the future.

Overall, it was a very positive experience. He came over when he said he would, and promptly completed the work. His bill was extremely fair.

Ricky drove his grungy beat-up van to my house. He arrived right on time. The van is definitely not impressive, but his workmanship IS. He thoroughly cleaned the lawnmower, and changed the spark plugs and air filter - which are included in the price. He got the mower running like a champ, offered some advice. He's not pushy at all about anything. Made a mess on the driveway - due to all the grass stuck under the mower deck. He diligently cleaned up after himself and left the driveway much cleaner than he found it. Mower has issues again now - unrelated to his work, I'm thinking of calling him again. Nice to not have to haul the mower somewhere else and wait for them to get around to fixing it!

Ricky arrived as promised and spent a lot of time working on our lawnmower. Very courteous, honest and thorough. We would hire him again, without hesitation.

I contacted him the Friday before Labor Day. He came to the house the next business day (Tuesday). I appreciate the quick service, since the grass was getting quite shaggy. He changed the fuel filter, which was probably the cause of the engine quitting. He also did a full tune-up - oil change, new air filter, new spark plugs, etc. and cleaned out accumulated grass from the deck and sharpened the blades, plus some other minor fixes. The tractor should be good for another year. While he was out here (we live out on the lake), I had him look at a beaten-up old push mower which was barely running. He did a full tune up on it, applied some and quot;gentle persuasionand quot; to the bent shaft, cleaned out the deck and sharpened the blade. It no longer vibrates from the bent shaft, and runs quite well now. Ricky is an old fashioned mechanic - he works out of an old van filled with stuff, not a tidy shop. But he knows what needs to be done and just does it. And he's very pleasant to work with. And he cleans up his mess. And he comes to you, so you don't have to load your mower on a truck and take it to a shop! I'm very happy to have found him, and plan to keep on using him.

I called Ricky on Saturday morning 5/28/2011 around 11:00am. I explained the problem with my mower and he asked some questions on the phone to try and help troubleshoot the problem. He said he could come out that afternoon if I could be home. I said I would be here. He completed the fix.

The repair man arrived on time and quickly determined that the gas line and system was clogged from the old gas and lack of use. He disassembled all on the spot, quickly cleaned the entire system restored it and got the mower running. In addition he cleaned the brake and ensured all was in working order. He cleaned up the work area thoroughly. I was most happy with the service and would highly recommend him again.

He came out on the appointed date and throughly examined the mower and inability to get it running problem. I told him that I didn't want to spend more than $150 to repair it but he immediately suggested that it would be much less than that and that I had a good mower that would be worth more than that. He thought the carborator was the problem and when he took it apart he showed me how the service I just paid for a few weeks ago couldn't have cleaned or adjusted the carborator. He spent well over an hour carefully taking apart and cleaning every piece of the carborator and when he reassembled it the lawn mower ran like a champ! He also adjusted the carborator to run smoothly and adjusted the starter cable. I was so thrilled with his work that I mowed both the front and back yards even though they were still wet from a heavy rain storm.

He was very punctual in his response to us. He arrrived on time. Worked quickly and efficiently. He not only fixed our riding lawn mower he also put my hedgetrimmer together for me free of cost! I had a great experience and would definatley use him again.

A woman from the office called us to tell us he was running late, and then he didn't come for an hour. We called back and were told he wasn't answering his cell phone. We finally called back again the next day, talked to him, and he told us that he didn't come because he couldn't work in the rain. We asked why he didn't call us and he said he didn't use his cell phone while he was working. We said to forget it.

Checked out the mower and its parts. Ricky got it started and we tested it in the yard. He also helped me with setting the mower height. Everything went well, thought he was very helpful and would definitely use the service again. I appreciated the fact that he came to the house which save me the effort of trying to figure out how to load the mower into the car and take it to be repaired.

Easy to deal with. Very couteous. work was performed in a timely manner and done to my satisfaction.

This was my first interaction with Ricky, whom I called because of his high rating here. His work did not disappoint: he was wonderfully professional, even formal, in his manner, and he left behind him two mowers than run better than they have in years. I was so pleased that I plan to contact him for annual service to my machines.

Arrived afternoon on same day I called for service. Identified and repaired problem with self-propel system that dealer failed to repair last spring. Mower works like new.

He was great to work with. I called, and he was at our house the next day. The lawn mower is running great. We will use him again next year for another tune-up.

Ricky on -site services was the best experience that I have had with a tradesman in all my 12 yrs living in Charlotte NC Ricky was prompt in arriving at my house at the agreed upon time. He is an articulate and professional gentleman who takes pride in his work. I watched as he meticulousy removed and cleaned my carburetor and explained each part and wiped them until it shone like new. He straightened the crank shaft,sharpened the blades and virtually rebuilt the machine before my very eyes while explaining what he was doing. He instructed me on the use of all my equipment-watched while I used it, and was very patient with me and answered all my novice questions. He is a wonder!!
