First of all, the guy runs his business from his cell phone, so don't expect the kind of immediacy you might get from a call center. There was one review on here about how and quot;unprofessionaland quot; it was that he didn't' hear back from Ricky... Just something to note before you give him a call. Don't expect more than is reasonable. I got a used mower from a friend for my first house, and after running it for the first time, it started stalling out before I finished my front yard. My grass was already the eye-sore of the block, so I needed to get it fixed fast. Unfortunately, I had two other technicians coming to the house that day, and couldn't leave to take it anywhere. I called Ricky and left a message at around 1pm, and he called me back about an hour later. He wasn't able to give me a time that he would come by, but he said he would make it sometime that day (hence the and quot;Band quot; in punctuality). He did come, but it wasn't until around 6pm. He was very nice, friendly, and taught me a thing or two about my mower while he worked. He tried several things in order to figure out what the problem was, and in the process, changed the oil, replaced the air filter, cleaned out the carburetor, and generally tuned up the mower. Eventually, it started running normally, so that was that. I'm sure it would have been cheaper to take my mower to a servicing location, but if your in a time crunch, I would recommend Ricky.

Called early in the morning to see if he was available. He wasn't able to promise that he'd make it out that day, but said he'd try. Around 7 he showed up, and by 8 my mower was running again. Shortest wait I found at my 'standard' repair shops was a week, most were two weeks. Seems pricey at first, but not when I consider that I got same day service, at my house. Also, while troubleshooting he cleaned the carburetor, checked the spark plug and gave everything a once-over. Worth the price in my opinion.

First I would like to say: Mr Diaz's van is a shop on wheels. He has everything he needs in the van, including many tools, air compressor, drills, replacement parts etc, etc. I called Mr Diaz on Thursday and left a message. He called me back on Friday and said he would come to my home to repair my riding mower in a couple of hours. He came promptly. We had not been able to start the mower this season. Mr Diaz used a process of elimination. First he took the mechanical parts apart and did a total cleaning of parts such as carburetor etc. The mower still did not start. He further investigated the cause and found the previous battery had leaked acid on the starter solenoid and destroyed it. He changed the solenoid and the mower started immediately. After this process. Mr Diaz turned the riding mower to the side and removed the blades. One blade was bent. He was able to straighten the blade with a maneuver on his van. He then Sharpened the blades. He completely cleaned the underside of the mower of all the old grass and debris. Once this was done, he replaced the blades. Oh, Mr diaz informed me that the reason I sometimes got scalping with turning the mower was the tires did not have enough air. So back to his Van and he inflated the tires. He also changed the air filter. After seeing this process: I then asked Mr Diaz to service my Honda push mower. He changed the spark plug, air filter, sharpened the blade and cleaned the mower thoroughly. I would highly recommend RIcky's On-Site Service to anyone who wants a quality mechanic for lawn mower and small engine repair. He was very courteous and easy to communicate with. I will definitely use his service again and refer him to family and friends.

Just such an unprofessional introduction... Taking my number with a plan to call me back (to simply set an appointment) felt a bit antiquated. I wanted to mark this off my 'to-do' list and simply know when I'd be able to get the mower repaired. I've lost a day now, and still got this task to resolve.

My leaf shredder broke down and I had piles of leaves to deal with. The last thing I wanted to do was load this piece of equipment up and take it some place and have them keep it for weeks. I found Ricky on Angie's list and called him. We sheduled him to come out 2 days later and he arrived on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem...the engine valves were stuck. He disassabled the engine in my driveway and fixed the problem. After reassembling the engine it started on the first pull and has worked perfectly since. Ricky's service is excellent and well worth the price. I had Ricky come out last week to get my pressure washing going and the experience was the same. I cannot more highly recommend Ricky.

Ricky diagnosed my gas-powered leaf blower and diagnosed and repaired my gas-powered string trimmer. He was efficient, clearly very capable and knowledgeable, and a very nice guy. He quickly repaired the trimmer by cleaning the carburetor; a different repair shop had previously (incorrectly) told me that it would be necessary to replace many parts. He diagnosed the blower as a failed ignition coil, after cleaning and checking the carburetor. He could have sought to charge me to replace the ignition unit, but he was honest and recommended that it would be more economical for me to buy a new blower instead. He gave me tips on what brands have the best quality and reliability. Overall, great service. The price was fair, given that I was paying for the convenience of having the equipment serviced without taking it into a repair shop. I highly recommend him.

The price is more than if I brought it in to a shop, but that is the price of convenience. Ricky was very knowledgeable and talked to me while he was fixing my lawnmower. All in all, he did a great job and my lawnmower runs like new. I wanted to buy a mulching blade and Ricky told me that I actually already had one on my lawnmower so I didn't need to buy it. He could have easily replaced it and sold me another one because I had no idea what the difference was with a regular blade. It was a great experience and I will definitely call Ricky next year.

We have an old riding mower on its last legs. Ricky comes out when needed and deals with all the parts that are wearing out. He is prompt, professional, and friendly. Great guy!

I have an 8-1/2 year old Snapper lawn mower that had never been serviced. I would (and WILL) recommend him to everyone! Very nice gentleman and just a pleasure to deal with. Would rate him above an and quot;Aand quot; but there is no higher option!

Mower works great. Ricky is a delight. I will definitely become one of his regulars for mower servicing.

One Saturday afternoon, I ripped the pull cord out of my lawnmower. I managed to get by for the next week by borrowing my neighbor's lawnmower, but finally decided to get the problem fixed. I researched the issue myself, with wild aspirations of DYI, but ultimately decided a professional was required. I found Ricky on the list and saw his rating was high. After one phone call we set an appointment for the following day. Ricky arrived on time, took a look at the lawnmower, and checked his car for a replacement part. Unfortunately, he didn't have the part we needed, but told me he would attempt to repair the broken piece. As he worked, we talked about everything from lawn care to raising daughters and had a very pleasant conversation during the length of his work. When finished, he started the lawnmower and told me he guaranteed the work for three months and if there was a problem he'd replace the part - no fee, no questions asked. The part held up for a couple weeks before tearing again, so I contacted Ricky and left him a message. I waited a couple weeks to hear back from him, but when I finally did he told me he'd come by that day to fix the part. Sure enough, he arrived within an hour and replaced the part - no fee, no questions asked. He apologized for not being more prompt in returning my call, but explained it was because he had been sick in bed with the flu for a week. Again, we had an enjoyable conversation as he worked. When he was finished, the lawnmower worked like new and I have not had to replace the part - it has been five months since it was fixed. I highly recommend Ricky and the work he does and would contact him again the next time I have an issue with my lawn equipment.

Ricky was prompt, got the job done in very little time, I reccommended him to my neighbor who used his services also. He cleaned up after himself, I'll use him again Joan

I called another servicer before I called Mr. Dias and was dissapointed to learn I would have to wait a week for service. I scheduled them, but then went to Angie's list and found Mr. Dias listed. Hiendrick was able to fit my job within his schedule today. He arrived on time and repaired the starting system of my garden tractor in short order. From this point onward I will only use RICKY'S ON SITE SERVICES when I need repairs to my tractor.

He is truly an expert at rebuilding lawnmower engines. He takes pride in his work. He arrived on time and handles himself professionally. My lawnmower started on the 2nd pull. It runs smoothly and cuts/mulches the grass easily. I love it when he recommended throwing away the old gas that had been sitting in its container for 2 years. He knew that it was dirty and would inhibit the engines performance. I would highly recommend Ricky.

Ricky was great - right on time, and explained everything along the way. He was very thorough (2 hours or so for both mowers) and made sure everything was right before he left. I even had a tricky problem with the handle on one mower and we looked up data on the internet on that model and he got it fixed. All in all, super guy, and did a fantastic job. I will start using him yearly for mower service.

Rickey was very punctual, polite, and professional. Called ahead of arriving and arrived on time. Had lawnmower running like new with sharpened blade. Looked a chain saw which wouldn't start and determined it was salvagable but would need to be dropped off at a shop to be fully disassembled. Would definately use Rickey again.

Called him up - scheduled appt and he came on time. Worked on mower and got it running smoothly and generally tuned it up. We were very pleased with service and his quality of work.

Quick response. Came on site without calling first. Very knowledgeable and professional. Repaired unit within about an hour. Did not bring receipt book and was not able to provide invoice. A little pricey for work performed but the convenience of on-site service saved me time to deliver and pick up unit from a repair shop.

He was very friendly. He explained everything to me in detail. He was very courteous. He was running late, and he called us ahead of time to give us a heads up. I really did appreciate that. He was very clean. We were very satisfied. The price was very reasonable.

Ricky brought new life to my old, neglected mower. I explained the situation to him over the phone and he ordered the parts he assumed he would need based on that - he was spot on. Once he was done, the mower worked better than it had in years; when I mentioned previously that it was neglected, I wasn't lying - I hadn't done one bit of maintenance to it in the 8 years that I owned it. I've used it for several mowings since the work and it's running great.
