Great work!

I was very, very pleased with them. I liked their system where you hire them for that reason and I paid them once and that payment includes them coming out this spring to check out my AC before I start using that, too. I liked the way they did that. Another company once came out for the same reason and they ended up talking me into something I didn't need. That's what I'm always weary about - vendors talking you into something that you're not sure you need. These guys came out and did the job. I felt they were honest with me without putting down the other company. I felt like being honest with me was more important to him then sticking up for the rest of his industry.

I've used Real Heating thrice now and am very satisfied by my experience. From Sonia who makes the appointments to the technician, Shannon, I have only good things to say. The first time I called them to look into my downstairs furnace, Shannon ended up saving me $600. He got my furnace working by flicking on a switch. I happily paid him the diagnostic fee which was $62. This was after a larger and highly ranked company on Angies list had stopped by and made a wrong diagnosis (as I later found out). They wanted me to replace my circuit board ($600). Shannon advised me to keep a watch on the furnace and said that we would just have to wait and see what code it reports the next time it shuts down. A week later, the furnace is still running fine and we signed up for Real Heatings annual maintenance plan for some peace of mind, having a 14 year old furnace and AC. In addition to the yearly heater/AC inspection, the plan gives you a discount on diagnostic visits and parts. Shannon came out to inspect and clean both furnaces and found no issues. 10 days later the downstairs furnace shuts down. This time I expected it to be the faulty circuit board, thinking the larger company might have been right. Shannon comes out to the house within 2 hours of my calling and diagnoses the problem to be a faulty pressure damper and fixes the problem at no charge. He explained the problem very patiently. Had I not gotten a second opinion from them, I would have been out $600 and still not had the problem fixed. This is a small company that goes the extra mile and does not charge you willy-nilly for stuff that isn't broke. My experience with them has been confidence inspiring and will highly recommend them.

Shannon was excellent. He was on time (Real Cool calls about 30 minutes in advance so you don't have to wait around for 2+ hours), knowledgeable, and great in explaining what the issue was with my heat pump. My home warranty company sent Real Cool to repair my unit for the current problem, but I have now contracted them myself to service my heat pump going forward. I would highly recommend them.

My furnace was not working on a Saturday morning. I found this company from Angie's List and was pleased with his reports. I emailed him that morning, fully expecting to not receive a call until Monday. He called me within 15 minutes of my email and set up an appointment for 8:00 am on Monday. Mike, the owner, arrived exactly at the appointed time. He found that the inducer motor was not working; called the parts place; got the new part and was installing it within 30 minutes of his call. He explained everything to me in the most professional and honest manner. I am so impressed with him that I purchased a maintenance agreement. I could not be more pleased.

To say that I'm pleased with this company would be an understatement. Very professional and courteous. Shannon, the service person, really took the time to explain many things about my unit that I wasn't aware of. I really felt like they were taking care of me; not just trying to sell me something I didn't need (as opposed to a major company that previously convinced me that my brand new unit needed a $600.00 part !). I felt like I was in good hands from the moment I made the appointment! I will be a permanent customer! Thank you, Real Cool Heating for being just that... real cool!

I can truly say Mike is the most knowledgeable, courteous, honest and personalbe professional I have ever met in the HVAC inductry. His service and quality are unparalleled, and I absolutely will not allow anyone else work on my systems. Mike showed up right on time, wore protective covers on his shoes and took his time to carefully inspect and clean my two gas furnaces. When he detected the two weakened capacitors, he explained to me in layman's terms their function and the measurements used to determine their capacity. On my copy of the detailed invoice was a listing of all tests performed, all measurements taken from both systems, and his comments including the recommendation to replace the weakened capacitors. I very much trust Mike and will have him out again in the Spring to perform preventive maintenance on my two air conditioning units. I have also recommended Mike to several friends and neighbors, and each experience has been identical to mine - future customers for life! If you have HVAC needs in the greater-Charlotte, NC metro area, look no further....you will not be dissapointed!

I found out late on Friday afternoon that the AC wasn't working once the electricity was turned on. I was able to get an appt for the following morning. Mike showed up right on time and went to work figuring out the issue. He quickly determined that it was blown fuses and replaced them. The unit started cooling immediately. I've worked with this company for over 5 years and have two maintenance contracts and will be adding a third commercial contract. I have never had any negative experience with this company and would recommend them without hesitation.

This was a very good experience. Mike is very knowledgeable and does a good job explaining everything in terms you can understand instead of tech words. I will continue to use them in the future.

It went great. Mike the owner, was the one who came out. He explains what he is doing and what to look out for in the future. He is very thorough and professional. He explains what needs to be fixed now and what you wait to have done.

The owner is Mike Atkinson. I have a contract for maintenance follow-up with them. They come two times a year. In the spring they go over the air conditioner, clean it and check everything. In the fall they check on the heating system and ducts. They have been great and they are very timely, thorough and professional. They come right away if there is an issue. I think the pricing is good because I get a full work out and it is like a little insurance policy.

Extremely professional, genuine, nice guy showed up to assess my thermostat. I had made an appointment via the Home Warranty company. While he was there, he also answered a number of questions I had regarding HVAC systems and how to maintain them etc. I WILL use them again for yearly maintenance etc. as well as recommend them to all my friends.

When they came out, they went above and beyond what they should have done. I was really impressed with my technician. I have used them two or three times, and every time I have been impressed with them. I think they are a good company and don t try to sell you something you don t need. They don t try to rip you off and you pay for what you get.

I am very happy with the service overall. mike is the owner of the company, a nice honest person, you can tell that the minute you meet him. We have been looking for a company to do our maintance on our syatems and I just never feel like I am getting honest quotes and responses from most people. We are from Europe so we know no body in the city that does this kinda work. They know i have no idea about heating and air and they tend to take advantage of you. I would HIGHLY recommend this company if your looking for someone you can trust and someone who isnt out to rip you off.

He came a month back to fix a heating problem and we find him great. He gives us options and is very straightforward. He is honest about what jobs he can do and what he can't. He is not one of the guys who are behind money and does a good job.

Their prices are excellent. They are very personable and reputable. They are honest and professional. They clean up after themselves and try not to make a mess to start with. They also do extra work. The man that came to do the work for us went down under the house. He saw that some of the work that was done before wasn't good. He did the extra work and didn't charge us.

The experience was outstanding. They literally were working through thunderstorms that were going on outside to get it done on time. They did the job for less than they quoted.

Mike is a great guy, very knowledgeable and friendly. They've worked with us to make sure we got the service we needed and that we were happy with the results. Mike was great about helping us pick out a new HVAC unit and we feel like we got a good deal. Their installation took about a day, even though they had difficulties working with our older home's quirks. We got a great financing deal on the new unit and now have reliable heat and A/C, a programmable thermostat, and feel great about the cost and overall experience. We've even been able to call Mike when we thought the new unit was not acting as expected or just had trouble figuring out the new thermostat and he's always responded quickly and has been very helpful.

Excellent! We have used Real Cool before for service on our old air conditioner and heater. Our first experience, my husband said, "Well,there is one honest man". He accidentally charged us for servicing 2 units. He realized that we only had one and gave us a big credit back. We did not even realize it until he told us. He is truly wonderful and his team is great, too. He does a great job from start to finish. There are not many like him left. Jim/Lynda Fuller

They were really good. They were here for about 8 hours and when they were done, they cleaned up everything and you couldn't tell that they had ever been here. I would use them again.

It was rushed and I didn't understand all the words he used... and it was all about replacing the whole unit--- which works just fine and nothing was wrong with it. A pipe was leaking under our house and our electrician said it looked like our HVAC---it wasn't and then he did something I didn't even need done----or didn't check with me first. Whatever. For the time being it's fine.....

This is the best $55 I have ever spent. Ronnie came out the day after I called and did a very thorough inspection of our furnace, specifically the heat exchanger in question. Ronnie used an internal camera probe to visually see the heat exchanger from the inside. He also manually tested the weak areas identified by our usual heating & air company. Ronnie concluded that the areas that appeared to be cracked were not cracked through and the crimping on the seams was still in tact on our heat exchanger. Just to be 100% sure we would be safe to run our furnace, he also placed a CO2 detector in the duct and ran the furnace. The CO2 reading was nil. Thanks to Ronnie for doing such a thorough job inspecting our furnace and saving us from spending thousands and thousands on a new system when it clearly isn't necessary to replace our furnace. I am very confident with Ronnie's technical knowledge and his trustworthiness. We will certainly be calling Real Cool in the future.

Responsive to scheduling around my children's schedules. Cleaned both systems, identifying items in need of repair as well as air quality issues. Sent same person that came for a previous repair which made the process very smooth.

My new heat/AC was primarily covered under my home warranty, however Mike explained from the very beginning that I would be responsible for a portion of the costs ($1,500 was just my out-of-pocket). He showed me what was causing problems with my old system, and dealt with the warranty company to get my new system covered. He then performed the installation with one other technician, and did a fantastic and thorough job. Mike also showed me the in's and out's of my new system, recommended a different filter that doesn't have to be changed as frequently (for those of us that always forget), and gave me tips on how to keep some upcoming drywall installation from clogging up my new system. Both Mike and his technician Ronny were very professional and courteous, and insisted that I call them in the future if I had any questions about my new equipment.

The transformer was under warranty with a copay. He returned my call on time and was here on time. He didn't push any products or services and was very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone.
