He went out of his way to anticipate the problem and order a part BEFORE arriving, so that my time away from work was not wasted. This was so appreciated. He was on time and professional. I would definitely call him again (he was the owner/operator).

Interesting to read the reviews here. The company's responses here, when the grade is below A, are most informative and are consistent with what I experienced. I called Glenn Sigmon, the owner, to inquire about replacing a broken water valve on my refrigerator. I gave him the model number and part number needed. He said he had to look up the part number, but would be unable to do so until the next day, and it would be a few days until he had an opening in his schedule. I told him I was looking to get the repair done asap. We agreed to discuss it the next day. The next day he left a message saying he had ordered the part but could not schedule me for several days. I called back and explained that I would have to use another service provider because I could not delay. In the middle of my sentence, he interrupted, said "goodbye" and hung up the phone. Mr Sigmon was uncommunicative on the first call, and expressed no interest in trying to accommodate my timing request. And when I asked how long he expected this job to take, his response was, basically, "why are you bothering me with a question?" On the second call, I think the discourtesy and unprofessionalism of hanging up on a potential customer speaks for itself.

It is a one-man operation. He was prompt in returning my call, came when he said he would, and did good work.

They were good, prompt, and responsible. The price was reasonable. He was also professional.

I called and he said he would work to fit me in the next day. He squeezed me in and came as agreed. He fixed whatever it was (I don't remember what it was but he did note it in detail on the invoice) and only charged $90 (which some places charge just to come look without even fixing!). I was very pleased with his responsiveness, price and quality of work. He also communicated with me quickly when we were trading calls.

I first called Piedmont Appliance last Thursday -- the answering machine let me know that they would be on vacation and unavailable to return calls until Monday, then suggested that I call back on Monday instead of leaving a message. I called back on Monday morning and left my name and a quick description of our dishwasher issue. Glenn returned my call promptly, within the hour. Our Bosch dishwasher hadn't been drying and had been cycling too long. He diagnosed the problem over the phone and let me know that it was a common problem with Bosch dishwashers. He told me that the part would be about $200 and that he anticipated the job would be a total of about $300 and take less than an hour. He also advised me that the new module would likely only last 5-6 years -- at least we know that we need to be in the market for a new dishwasher with plenty of lead time. Glenn ordered the part and called me on Wednesday when the part came in. We scheduled for 1p-2p on Thursday. He called me right at 1p and let me know that he was running an hour late, then arrived at 2:15pm (if only the cable company could communicate with their customers as well as Glenn does). Our dishwasher was up and running prior to 3pm! I would recommend Glenn for his knowledge, professionalism, and courtesy!

Total experience was pleasant and prompt with very reasonable cost. Could not ask for a more professional repair service. A real pleasure doing business. Found Glen on Angies List to repair faulty oven doors and a bad burner on the stove (both Thermador.) Glenn correctly anticipated the problem - the stove celluloid was expensive - not his fault, and everything worked great. several months later our refrigerator water line was leaking. Glenn came out, assessed the problem, ordered the part and installed it. Always very professional, nice and punctual.

Glenn is the best of the best. He is knowledgable, efficient and fairly priced. If a repair is going to be expensive, he will lay out a comparison of buying a new machine vs. fixing yours. In one case he told me he could fix a dishwasher for $350 due to the expense of the part primarily and recommended we replace it simply due to cost of repair. It was a Kitchenaid that my wife particularly liked and could not get the precise replacement so I had him fix it and got another five years out of her. A couple of other times he told me to scrap some appliances. I need to place a disclaimer here. I have known Glenn personally for over twenty years through some common social connections. The first time I called him he nailed the repair and then when I got the bill it was unreasonable (too low). I told him that I appreciated his gesture and his friendship, but that I needed a good repair service not a friend to take advantage of. Twenty years later he is one of the best service companies I deal with .... and he is still a good personal friend. The reason I point this out is that I can see by reading the other reports that he provides the same quality and professional service and fair prices to all who use him. That is unless you have large dogs that cause people to be uneasy, or you think people should not be on medical leave when they are crippled by painful foot surgery (I can confirm that too). I am referring to the two "C" scores I see from a couple of people living near me.

Overall our dishwasher was repaired and operable. However, the repair man was not a friendly man. He walked in, didn't say much and seemed very "up tight" when he did speak. I would not hire him again based on his dimeanor.

DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Glenn is professional, courteous, prompt, and he knows his stuff! This visit was to check on several minor issues with our gas cooktop and oven in response to our home inspection when selling our house. He was thorough and provided written information for our buyer. Prior to this specific visit, Glenn repaired our Thermador dishwasher AFTER my husband tried to repair it (resulting in a million pieces all over our kitchen!) On the phone, he was knowledgeable about the issue and also predicted the full extent of what was wrong (ie. that my husband blew the spring-loader trying to fix it! LOL!) He got right to work and in no time had it together and working properly. He was FABULOUS and REASONABLE. I don't recall that exact bill, but I remember thinking it was much better than I expected and it was obvious he didn't take advantage of the situation. He has proved himself very competent and trustworthy. I highly recommend!

4 year old Bosch dishwasher need repair; cycle ran on and on. Repairman knew exactly what was wrong and had replacement part with him (needed new control unit). Very nice and professional, worked quickly and efficiently. New control unit was $128.05, service call was $85.00, tax $9.28 = $222.33 total.

Person who does repairs on an extended leave. People were nice enough on the phone.

glenn arrived as per appointment time and statrted working on our washer. in about 15 minutes he had the drain line unclogged and washer up and running. very professional and very polite. very well satisfied with his work and price charged[ got discount for being senior citizen]. have his name and number in my book and will definitely call him if needed again.

Excellent! Our washer stopped working over the weekend. We contacted Glenn on Monday and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday. He arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, and then performed the repair. A small sock (child's sock) had made its way into the drain pump. Now we know where the missing socks go - mystery solved, washer working perfectly. Per Glenn, always use the mesh bag for those small items. Very professional and efficient. Provided some good value added advice as well. He was listed (with several other companies) on the Bosch website. Used Angie's List to make the selection. Very pleased!

I emailed him on Thursday and he came on Friday morning @ 11am. He determined the problem and said he would have to go get the part. Since he only works until 12 noon he would have to finish the job on Monday. I wasn't expecting that he wouldn't finish the job if he could get the part on that day. I knew his web site said he only worked until noon but I thought if he had started a job he would finish it. That was disappointing but I had access to another freezer so I stored my items there. I had already thrown out the bad items in my refrig. It was cooling but only to 55 degrees so some things could be kept in there. Since it is only me at my house I was able to control how much I needed to get in and out of the refrig. He came back on Monday and fixed the problem and everything is working fine. Be aware that if he comes on a Friday you may or maynot get the item fixed and he also is going to only work until the stated time on the other days. I wouldn't use him again if it was going to be a Friday that he was coming. He was pleasant and professional and his prices were reasonable. I understand him only wanting to work the hours he does at this point of his career but as the homeowner that isn't convenient sometimes when certain things aren't working.

I called the office number, and my phone call was returned, even though it was after business hours. He was able to come the next day, and even had the part for my Bosch dishwasher in his truck, and my dishwasher still was under warranty, so it didn't cost me anything. In and out within an hour, and everything works beautifully now.
