+ -1 moreI called for an estimate on a large job which I estimated would cost over $2,000. I left a detailed message with an employee. I did not receive a call back. I called the next day and spoke to the owner. I told him we needed the pipe leading to our yard septic clean out replaced b/c it had sunken under debris that was buried in the yard when the house was built. I described the location (no trees) and how it had already been vetted with a camera. It was simply a matter of replacing the pipe and supporting it with gravel, etc. He listened to me and then said "I'm not interested in this job." I asked why, he only said that he didn't want to do it. I asked if he did this kind of job, and he said yes. No explanation, just a rude refusal. Very unprofessional. The other two companies I called were more than happy to come out and even gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone. If a company is on Angie's List, one would think they would have some sense of customer service.

+ 0 moreThis was the second time I used Pathway and they were very responsive. The owner himself had showed up and was very friendly and helpful. He quickly diagnosed the problem, the smell wasn't coming from a hose as I had anticipated, but from the disposal itself. He disassembled it and showed me the exact cause (pitting from recycled metal used for the blades) and then replaced the disposal. There hasn't been a smell since. He had been to my house once before to route out what I was thought was a clogged pipe but turned out to be something much less. Definitely recommend Pathway!
Description of Work: He came to inspect a disposal and dishwasher connection for an odor that kept coming back.

Description of Work: When I called to schedule the service, I was then told that the service area did not include Mooresville. I always look for such exclusions on the deal offer. Also, the service area exclusion was not covered in "The Fine Print".

I also asked about a loose sink stopper that he fixed. Since this was just something small it didn’t cost me anything additional.

+ -1 moreJohn is a really nice person and professional in attitude and action. I had a misunderstanding of what could be done with the packaged 2 hour plumbing deal. A few weeks ahead of the appointment I had a few purchased items we wanted installed, thinking we could just use a few hours of his time to get them in. I had not seen the fine print that purchased parts are not installed because Pathmaker could not then guarantee the work. The bottom line on our situation is we had expectations more akin to services of a handyman when he is, of course, a professional plumber with higher standards.

Description of Work: I had a leaky toilet and we expected it to be a fill but it was cracked and he replaced it. But it was real high . The leak was between the crack and the hole.

His recommendations were well received. His work is amazing. He has a genuine concern and care for his clients and he has an amazing passion for well-done plumbing. He is meticulous and safe and very knowledgeable, a bit of a perfectionist!!!. I highly recommend him. I will be using him again and again. In fact, I do not expect to ever use any other company for my plumbing needs as long as Pathmaker Plumbing is around!!! Thank you so much, John.....

He was very professional and very nice, I was just not aware that I would have extra costs and I was not completely happy with the selections for the faucet, so that is the only reason that I cancelled the Big Deal.

He did go over some other things in the house and told me some things I might possibly need in the future. He worked on the commode. I would say that we would use him again.

+ -1 moreVery good! They came a couple of days when I made a request. I paid an additional charge. He was very professional and technically competent. What I did not like; I asked him to replace the same valve on 3 other toilets and he wanted 175$ a piece. I thought since he was in the house already, he would give me better deal and it did not work like that.
Description of Work: He replaced the shut-off valve to the toilet. It kept running and he fixed it.

+ -1 moreFirst, in the messages on Angie's List, he refused to schedule anything online. He asked that I call him. Ok, I tried calling him 2 times during business hours. The first time they answered I was told they could not talk and would call me back. No call back. The second time I called during business hours and they did not answer. I tried a third time after business hours hoping for a little flexibility and he answered and told me to call back later. Total lack of customer service and professionalism. If they cannot schedule appointments online or talk on the phone and schedule an appointment like every other vendor on Angie's list does, then I would like a refund. Randy Here is vendor's reply after I have called him 2 times during business hours to try and schedule an appointment. I guess I am supposed to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. --- Pathmaker Plumbing 20 hours ago Randal, the only message i have sent you so far states that I cannot schedule appointments online. You will have to call the phone number to schedule on the phone please. Thanks, John
Description of Work: Update: This contractor is now threatening me with legal action if I do not change my review here (Reviews which Angie's List encourages) and online sharing my dismal experience with his company. He insists that I must post his "truth" about the events. Unbelievable, threatening folks who purchase his big deal when he will not return calls, schedule online, and did not initiate even 1 call to me in 20 days after he said he would call me back. Here is an extract from his latest message; "Also, I suggest you either delete your social media post and review or at least correct it to reflect the truth. I have rights as well and, if necessary, will pursue them legally." Check out my other ratings. I have given everyone else that scheduled my appointments and came out to do work a rating of A. Read others comments about scheduling. A pattern is evolving. My recommendation, hire another plumber. First, in the messages on Angie's List, he refused to schedule anything online.
