Description of Work: John, replaced existing bib with, new freeze proof hose bib through masonry wall. Had to shorten piping and cut copper pipe in two places installed and provided a new ball valve at water heater. | |He called ahead, and arrived on time, was thorough and thoughtful. Provided suggestions for existing plumbing and estimates for possible fixes. I will definitely use him in the future.

Description of Work: Very nice person who is knowledgeable in his field. At first, he said that most valves do not completely shut off after the flush, and if not, it would cost me $125 for him to install a NEW valve. When I complained about that; he offered to install it for free. He first quoted me $1,150 to install a new 50 gal water heater...when I balked at that; he immediately dropped his price to $950 which still seemed a little high to me. He did answer all of my questions. I might or might not use him for the change...I haven't decided yet.

[Member Name Removed], I had a good time meeting you and hearing the interesting stories of all the places you lived, and hearing about your motorcycle adventures. As far as our pricing situation goes, both of the prices I quoted you were below our normal flat rate price. I only offered to lower it because of the financial situation you told me about, and because you caught me during a time when I knew I had a slow week coming up. Let there be no confusion about how we price things, I dont feel the least bit insecure or apologetic about my prices. If any of my customers arent comfortable with that, there is always someone willing to do it cheaper. I understand that. The question isnt about how cheap it is, but rather is it done right and are you happy with the service you received. As far as the drain valve issue goes, I tried to make clear that I would never charge you for something that you didnt first see in writing and approve of. And that is exactly what happened. Most "drain valves" dont shut off clean after a flush because ofen debris gets stuck in there that has been laying in the bottom of the tank. The same debris we walked out in the grass and looked at together. I got yours shut off completly and there was no issue, as you know. Thank you for taking the time to leave me a review. I look forward to seeing you again when/if you need my help and decide to use me.

Description of Work: John was accommodating to my schedule, showed up on time and took the time to explain the inner-workings of a water heater and how to properly flush and maintain. Description of Work: John competed 2 service requests, water heater flush and toilet tune up. He put a new flapper in a guest room bathroom. He inspected the masterbath toilet and made 3 optional choices to fix a continuing problem with that toilet. I selected the second option to rebuild the tank which he did on the service visit. He has equipment on his truck to take care of the problem. He showed me what he was doing during the rebuild. I am most happy with the result. John is the third plumber I used in four visits over 3-4 years trying to solve the problem. He made preventive maintenance recommendations for the future to consider. The purchased deal costs are include in each review's "approximate cost of service" question.

Description of Work: He adjusted the flush in both commodes and replaced 1 flapper. Part of the big deal was to use dye in 2 commodes to check for leaks. He did not do that. When he checked the house water pressure, he took off a freeze protector cover from an outside spigot, did not put it back on and the temp dropped rapidly below freezing that day. Luckily I noticed it early the next morning (still below freezing) and replaced the freeze protector before any damage was done. He recommended more expensive work.

(member name) You did not need to have dye tabs in your toilets. They were not leaking. A professional plumber can tell that without dye tabs. Your hose bib cover was not on when we checked your pressure. You got a licensed plumber to your home to give you a thorough analysis of your plumbing system for 50 bucks! It cost more than that just to show up. Please have realistic expectations of the big deal and of licensed contractors before posting negative reviews. It really does hurt our reputation when you do that. We were professional and timely and put all of our suggestions in writing for you. No presure, just recommendations for you to consider or ignore.
