Description of Work: Parging and insulating smoke chamber walls, installed HeatShield material to flue surface to seal lining of flue. Repaired and sealed chimney cap. Cleaned and sealed exterior of chimney. Repaired back firewall. Installed new ash dump door. Various other smaller items.

Description of Work: The technician ran late because the job before ours had a lot of issues he had to address. We knew this to be true because he was right next door. He came inside our house and set up equipment to clean from the inside. He also took pictures of the inside of the chimney. He checked the outside on a ladder and gave us a brief report. Since he knew we were under time constraints, he worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done. We are expecting a detailed report from his company via email with suggestions that will address a problem he found. We were pleased with the thoroughness of his work and his professionalism.

I called Owens and when I mentioned Angie's List they recommended that I purchase this deal to get a cleaning included with the inspection for about the same cost. They scheduled the appointment performed the cleaning and gave me a thorough report with photos and an estimate for repairs. Exactly what I needed.

Description of Work: The inspector from Ownes was professional in all respects. They did a video of our chimney and showed us pictures of suggested repairs. While their estiamte for the repairs were more than we were able to afford (at the time), when we do get the work done we will certainly include them for another quote. They came recomended by our contractor and peers.
