Owens Chimney Systems

When the tech got ready to leave, he had some suggestions for future repair. They were very minor but he did not suggest that he go ahead and perform these repairs for an additional fee. I would have preferred that he did because my husband did not think to ask him and we will not likely call them out for another service call.

We were very pleased with the work, especially the photographs of the inside of the chimney along with the the top of the chimney. The inspection showed that our roofers, who had finished a new roof a couple of weeks before - and did a very good job - did not make necessary repairs to the top of the chimney, where water was standing and the galvanized cover was rusting. We asked for and got a fair estimate to make repairs, but decided to go back to the roofing company because their workers should have fixed the deficiency at the top of the chimney. The roofing company, without any questions, sent a supervisor and the sales rep back and made the repairs at the top of the chimney. We will have Owens back next year, since we plan to use the fireplace a lot this year. This will give us a chance to monitor the work on the top of the chimney and if necessary contact with Owens if additional work needs to be done.. A good company. We were most happy to get a coupon via Angie's List from Owens to offset some of the cost.

Went very well. Called and made appointment, prompt arrival and then went over everything to be done and thorough evaluation and also let me see everything going on, etc.

Sweeped chimney and gave a detailed report. Very professional and showed up on time.

We had chimney swifts nesting in the chimney flue. A few days after they left a horrible smell was coming from the fireplace. I called Owens Chimney and they advised I tape plastic over the fireplace until they could get there. This worked well. When Owens arrived they put down tarps to protect the floor and used a filtered vacuum. There was no smell and no dust in the room from the cleaning. They removed the dead bird and cleaned the firebox and flue. They inspected and photographed inside and outside the chimney. They capped the flue so no animals can get in again. The men were prompt, professional and efficient. I pulled the "while you're here, can you look at this, too?" and they did. They went above and beyond my expectations. The price was extremely fair and less than what I estimated it to be. I will definitely use Owens in the future. They are exceptional and I highly recommend them.

We found this company through an Angie's List deal and were very happy we tried them. They gave us a primer on how to use and care for our gas fireplace and chimney. They placed a chimney cap on the chimney to help keep out critters. All the work was done very professionally and in a timely manner. We were able to enjoy our fireplace safely all winter.They

They were professional, punctual, and honest. No high pressure. Got them for a special on Angie's list and then I requested an estimate for replacing the cap. Did what they said they'd do.

I prepaid using an Angie's List coupon that was offered when I was reading up on the services of this company. This turned out to be a savings of about $20-$30 dollars. Nice and unexpected! The service was done with days of my call. The technician called and said he was available earlier than planned, if I was, as he had just finished up at a neighbor's townhome. He was very curteous and efficient. It was a very easy and painless experience!

I was very pleased with their service and professionalism. They thoroughly explained the process, did a great job cleaning, and made sure not to track dirt into the house. I am a repeat customer and will definitely use them in the future. I would give them a five-star rating.

Installed a complete new vent and hose for dryer. Dryer works like new now. I also feel safe now knowing that the fire hazard is gone.

They did a very good job cleaning the chimney's and fireboxes. We had them install two dampers.

Tech arrived on time. He came inside to look at the fireplace and chat about the service to be done. He preformed the sweep service in a neat and clean manner. He started his inspection with a camera up the flue shaft, then went on the roof to look from that perspective. He then reviewed his inspection with me. He did alert me to an issue that I did not know about, but I also feel that he exagerated some of the other conditions. The chimney sweep service was worth the price, but his repair estimate ($4,000) was a bit over the top.

I have used this company many times and I have always been pleased with the service. They are straight forward in their evaluation of your chimney. I trust that I am getting the honest story.

They were very professional and knowledgeable. Protected floors and surrounding area. Showed me pictures of inside chimney and pointed out things that could be changed for the better.

Employee arrived on time, inspected the chimney and performed necessary cleaning as requested. He also noticed that some flashing had come loose around the chimney and roof line. He said I could repair it myself, or he would do it for a small additional charge I had him do it. They also applied a chimney cap to keep out the birds and rain. He cleaned the inside of the fireplace, protected the carpet and showed us pictures of what had been performed on the roof. The employee had a good sense of humor because I kidded him about his one piece of equipment. He was a big guy and the company had provided him with a digital camera.......it was PINK! I told him they could give him something a little more manly.!!

They were excellent. They did a very good job. They were very professional. There was a coupon. They came on time. They cleaned it from the inside out. They gave me recommendations on what could be done. They went up to the roof and took pictures. They did everything that they were supposed to do. The quality of their work was excellent. They discussed with me what they had done and what possibly needed to be done. They had all the right equipments and they even used the computer and showed everything that was in there. They were very thorough. It was all excellent. I was very pleased. I would use them again in the future.

I called and they came out the next day and told me they could clean out the area the bird were using only after the little ones were big enough to leave the nest due to the birds being protected. He came back two weeks later. He know by the size of the babies when they would be ready. He was exactly right. the birds were there in the when we woke up and gone by 8am when he came to clean it. He did a great job cleaning the area and installing the cap to keep the critters out for good. I would recommend they to anyone.

They do a great job cleaning the chimney. They weren’t really that expensive. I liked everything about them. They were really friendly. They came in and did the job. They didn’t make a mess. Anytime when you deal with this kind of stuff, you have a pretty big mess around. They came in and they pretty much covered the floor, so that they wouldn’t get anything on it. After they’d left, you couldn’t even tell that they were in there. They did a good job. They were on time like they said they were going to be. At the time, there wasn’t anybody in the house. The tenant was about to move in. We were kind of pushing the time. They came right on out when they said they were going to come. They took care of everything. They didn’t take long to do it. Their price was excellent. We will use their services again in the future.

They do great work and are always on time. They cost a little more but it is well worth it. I have used them more than once. They are reliable. They take pictures and explain what they are going to do. The owner will talk to you and I will definatly call them again. They are extremely professional.
