They're great! They were helpful, clean, and prompt.

Very nice, professional team. Took a picture of the rust on the top of the chimney. Recommened replacing it for $570. Reminded me how much of a deal I got through Angie's List with their inspection. I'm not sure the metal is rusting through or just rusty. Alot of money to replace. Scared me. I haven't decided to replace or not. Not sure how thin it is or how long what I have will last. They couldn't offer any idea.

They were prompt, very courteous and went right to work. We had concerns about the chimney and they did a general visual inspection for us. Later, we were sent a quote for repairs, but the price was too high for us to move on.

Bought the Angie's list deal for the Chimney cleaning and inspection for $111 which I was very happy with from a pricing standpoint. Technician was on time for the appointment, very polite, and did a nice job cleaning the chimney and explaining repair work necessary to bring the chimney up to speed. Their estimate for the repair work was on the high side, but I was very happy with the cleaning and inspection.

The service tech showed up 10 minutes early, was very polite. I explained to him what was going on with the birds nest, he said it could be cleaned and gave me options for different chimney caps to prevent a recurrence of the issue. I chose a cap and then he went to work. After it was complete he broke down what he found during the inspection and gave a variety of options to choose from for some repairs that will be needed in the future but are not urgent now and he never pressured me to purchase something I didnt need. A+ service and class act!

I want to first state that the only reason I gave a B for cost, is because I didn't take full advantage of the services... Ill explain. My wife and I just bought our first house, and it has a pretty unique chimney/fireplace (very cool design, but hard to outfit with "standard" chimney caps, or fireplace screens). This is our first house, and naturally we wanted to make sure everything was ship-shape right out of the gate. I called Owens chimney sweep for three reasons: 1) The chimney looked pretty dirty, 2) They came highly recommended and with a good deal (which I bought), and 3) I needed someone to help me put a cap on the chimney so critters couldn't get in. The technician was prompt, even early. He called me to let me know that he could come early If I could accommodate him, and so I was. It didn't take too long, and he was very careful not to make a mess in the house at all. After he was finished, he told me that the type of chimney caps he had on hand wouldn't fit my unique chimney, but he recommended another option that Owens could do (I would have to schedule another appointment). And when I asked "How dirty was the chimney?" he told me that it wasn't really that bad... So you see, I don't feel like I quite got my money's worth. If I were better educated on chimney/fireplace care, I would have known. Oh well. But I did get a diagnosis of what I've got, and how to keep it clean and working well. And that is good information to have.

The chimney was cleaned and inspected. Further work was recommended, which didn't surprise us. We had a feeling that for that price other 'necessary' repairs would be suggested. We declined, but may consider those recommendations at a later time. Overall, we were satisfied.

Went very well. They removed articles from the ducts that didn't belong like tools. These guys cleaned better than the previous duct cleaners I had hired a few years earlier! Very ambitious workers too.

Complete Chinmney inspection and very detailed cleaning. What I liked about this service each aspect of the chimney system was explained in detailed I learned a great deal about all aspects of my heating system. Also, other services that Owens provides was explained. Willl give them a call in the near future.

This co was very professional and did not leave a mess. I was suprised at how dirty it was and it did have an odor. Since I had just had new siding and windows put in , I was told how this changed the flow of air through the house and the air was being pulled in through the chimney. so with a new damper this should help this. So far the smell is still gone. So I am happy with their service. I will use them again to maintain the chimney.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The interaction was very good. They did a good thorough job. They gave me a report on other things that could be done. I was pleased with the quality of the work. They did a very good job. I would certainly call them for repair work or to get the chimney cleaned again.

James Owens was very up front with me when he discussed when he could do the work. He was completing a very big job and he would begin my house immediately following. He did exactly as he said and sent Tony and Joseph to do the work. Tony and Joseph were great. They were very respectful of us and our house and went about their work very professionally. It was a very dirty job breaking out the old flues and rebuilding essentially from the ground up. Tony even volunteered to install some additional bracing in my crawlspace on his own. James Owens the owner came down one day and we discussed the project and once again I was quite impressed with his approach and the quality of work. When it was all said and done, he charged me less that originally quoted and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. Owens Chimney Systems Inc is a quality outfit and you can not go wrong selecting them. I recommend them without reservation.

They did a very good job. They had all the right equipment and they were very efficient. I would recommend this company to others.

The chimney sweep was fine - the chimney hadn't been used in several years so the cleaning was easy. According to their inspection report in order to use the chimney we need to do several thousand dollars worth of repairs. I will be getting a second opinion before having the work done.
