They were very excellent. It took a while for them to schedule me in. He's very competent and a knowledgeable young man. He did a good job. I called to tell them that the kid that they sent was excellent and that he was very, very good. Everything was fine. I had called them prior to the deal coming up and it was a little more money than I could afford so when the deal came up, I was happy with it.

It was really great. It was scheduled way in advance and they arrived on time and got it done. It was done very quickly and cleanly. I got photos of the work to show that my chimney was in pretty good shape. It was originally scheduled for 11 am and they called to see if they could come early because they had a cancellation. I didn't pay any additional. They were very punctual. I would most definitely use them again.

It went really good, can't recall the tech, but he was nice and professional. They keep did the job without making a mess and the mess that was made was cleaned up. the Tech was thorough and explained his findings to me as well as the company sent recommendations and cost of repairs based on the findings.

David from Owens was very friendly and professional. He took great care to keep my living room around the fireplace clean from any ash they may have come out of the fireplace while he was working. The entire process was quick and efficient and the fireplace looked great after he was done! David explained trouble spots that I needed to watch out for and repairs that I should consider and had pictures to go along with them. He then inspected the outside and top of the chimney and had pictures to go along with that, as well. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be using them again and recommending them in the future!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great. It worked out very well and everything went well. It led to a proposal for a large amount of work to be done but I knew that was coming so it was good. They were very responsive and prompt. The guy gave me a lot of information. He was very personable. It was a positive experience. The coupon was for a level one inspection but once he saw it, he said that he thought he needed to go up to level two but he didn't charge me anything more. I might use them for the work but I don't think they would be the cheapest but I do trust them.

The technician was prompt, professional, and thorough. Checked the chimney from inside the house and on the roof.

I called Owens Chimney Systems because I have a white powder (a condition know as Efflorescence) on the exterior of my chimney. After the inspection, the technician explained what causes this problem and what can be done about it. In my case, he believed the water leak was from the crown of my chimney and easily remedied with a flexible mortar sealant. He then explained that the exterior may need to be cleaned and sealed as well but did not try to sell this more expensive treatment to me. He took his time to answer all of my questions and had plenty of time to do the crown seal and cap installation at my request. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He also explained the energy saving benefits of the air tight damper. We were very happy with our experience with Owens Chimney Systems.

Owens provided excellent advice on the options available to us. We chose the stainless steel chase pan with overhang to help keep water from running down the chimney sides. The technician was courteous and prompt on both the estimate and installation calls. He showed us pictures of our existing pan and cap so we would have a better idea of what we had.

We purchased a new home and did not want to use the chimney until we had it inspected for any issues. As usual we think it and within a few days a Big Deal appears (Angie is amazing at mind reading). We purchased the big deal and scheduled an appointment. The two workmen were on time and quickly went to work. They covered the hearth and rug with a drop cloth and while one cleaned out the chimney the other went onto the roof to start the inspection. After the inspection he talked through a couple issues he found, showing us pictures along the way. He did say it was work that should be done but did not have to be done immediately, that it would continue to worsen but was not major at that time. He also gave us pointers on cleaning the chimney after we have a fire and pointers for building a fire. About 10 days later we received from Owens an estimate for repairs and copies of the pictures they took during the inspection. When we are ready to do these repairs we will contact Owens again.

I have only one word to describe Owens...Awesome! Although the technician could not provide the service that I needed (I have a vented gas log fireplace), he provided me some valuable information about my unit, cleaned the surface area, and checked the attic piping. He was professional, experienced, and very personable. And the price...No Charge! unbelievable! There are still honest and caring people in this world. If you have a chimney (I did not) that needs servicing, call Owens.

The appt had to be rescheduled several times due to weather (snow). Office staff called well in advance to reschedule and was very courteous and professional. Service team arrived a little early (no problem), but I was told in advance that I was the first appt. The chimney was inspected inside and out; photos were taken and was told they would email photos to me. The service man gave me recommendations on some problems and gave me an estimate. He suggested that the repairs be made in the spring when the weather is warmer, since the material to waterproof the exterior and the material for crown would apply better. I plan to contact them in April/May and have the repairs completed. Repair estimate $850.

They cleaned the chimney as scheduled and suggested several expensive improvements. Ownens Chimney Service knew the service call was for a rental home (I made sure when I set up the appointment as well as when the confirmation phone call was received). The service technician discussed everything in front of my tenants. I did not realize where the conversation was going until it was too late. Would prefer a private conversation - most service providers know to do this.

I liked their responses on Angie's List. They were also available quickly and in my time frame more than others. There was one technician here doing the work and he was here about an hour an a half. The results are very good on the chimney.

Gave detailed report ( including taking photos) regarding chimney repairs and what was needed to make the chimney functional and safe.

I would give them all 'A' for the rating and I would definitely use them again. It was scheduled in a timely fashion. They were punctual and professional.

It went well. The only issue was waiting for an open appointment. We were to have received a quote for some chimney work but it has not come to date.

He left the room clean, without a trace of dirt or dust. He was obliged to tell us that we should consider having the mortar in the flue repaired, and estimated what that would cost, but did not push it. As a bonus, he called about two hours ahead of his scheduled arrival time to ask if he could come early.

Everything went great. Worker showed up on time and was ready to work. Took great pictures to give a visual of all items he found. Everything was clean once he was done and we were very pleased. Would definitely use again.
