I was happy wirth the service, only dissatisfied with the price when the workman let it slip that I couldd have bought the lesser angies deal and received a cleaning. This was an older home and my firebox size is now out of compliance with the current regs. Although I am grandfathered in the chimney needs some repair work and they worked up 3 options for me to get the work done and everything code compliant

The whole job went very well and everything was priced well. We got the cleaning via a special through Angie's List for $135. The regular price of $190 seemed a little high. Installation and providing the chimney cap was at a good price. They were quick and cleaned up after themselves and did the job I paid them to do.

The gentlemen who came was on time, professional, and efficient. He did the work performed and then went over in detail the results of the inspection along with recommendations and options we could employ to get our fireplace in working order.

The service went fine. One technician came out and completed the work in about an hour or so. He did a thorough job and was professional. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

It was a big deal purchase and it was good. They unfortunately found a lot of things wrong with one of them and gave me a big quote. They checked everything out and it was fine. They were good but they weren’t real clear on what I needed. They installed something that I really didn’t want but I called back and talked to the people in the office and the management and they’ve been very helpful to explain things. They have offered to take this piece off if I decided that I don’t want it. So they were very good once I brought it to their attention. The part that was actually through Angie’s List was accurate but the additional piece I thought was a little expensive. They were not on time at all. I think they are a little expensive but I think they are very technically good too.

They did a good job. They came out probably within a month after I purchased the Big Deal and there were no additional charges to the Big Deal cost of $135. They showed me what they were doing. They took videos up on the chimney so they could see everything and let me see that. So, everything was good. If somebody is looking for chimney service, I would say that they were good and I would use them again.

We have used Owens previously and have been a consistent performer. That is why we are repeat customers. Owens gladly accepted the last minute use of an Angies List coupon the morning of the service call. The techncian was polite and frienly and knew his business. He was very careful in maintaining the cleanliness of the work area in the family room. showed us the condition of the chimney via a camera and pointed out some exterior corrosion that should be treated in the future. The technisian indicated that we would receive a sevice report via email but none was received.

Apparently everything was as advertised and they were nice and polite. They did everything they were supposed to do.

I used a Big Deal coupon for the job. They came and did what they said they were going to do physically. Then they said that I would get an estimate on what the repairs would involve and a detailed report with pictures they took, and videos of the whole works. I only got the estimate on the repairs after I prompted them, and that is all I have got. The service boys that came were real polite and real nice. They didn’t make any mess whatsoever. I was totally satisfied but then obviously their home office let them down to what they say the home office was supposed to do. The pricing was good. They didn’t do what they said they were going to do.

We had several people for an estimate and advice about our wood burning fireplace and the chimney. I did not feel comfortable with what they said and especially with their estimates. I did a lot of research online and finally found Owens Chimney company. We had a couple of long conversations with the owner James. He was very helpful and very informative, he did not push us in any direction, so we decided to go with them. He also gave us a discount but the price could still be a little better though! The staff was very clean and professional as well. We have not burned any wood in the fireplace yet but so far every thing seems to be in order. Yes, I would recommend Owens Chimney sevices to my friends and family.

Two men in clean uniforms (color matched the truck) arrive in a truck or van that was as shiny and clean looking as the men. The men were professional and friendly. They introduced themselves, explained what they were going to do. Job done very efficiently and within a half an hour. They completed the cleaning, left no mess, provided information on what was found and answered questions. They provided the service to other neighbors also. I will definitely call upon Owens for this service in the future.

They were great. Scheduled me as quick as they could. The inspector/chimney sweep was very courteous and gave us a detailed list with pictures of concerns that we may need to address with our system in the future. A day or two later I received a quote for the issues they found. This is the kind of customer service we all expect as customers, but rarely see. I highly recommend them if you need services with your fireplace/chimney.

They came out within about a week. We decided not to do any further work. The amount they wanted to do I thought was way too expensive for what it was. We had someone else look at it. The price was fairly comparable. In general, I thought it was too much for the amount of work to be done. If I'd wanted to spend the money, I would have chosen them.

We moved into our house four months ago and needed to have the chimney inspected to ensure it was safe to use. The previous owners (lived here for 8 years) did not use it at all. I called in late December to make an appointment for a cleaning and the first available appointment was about 3 weeks later (not surprising since the weather had just gotten colder and it was the holiday season). Dave and Brandon inspected our chimney with the video scan and explained the live video feed as they went. They discovered some water damage and recommended sealing the crown to prevent further damage. They also recommended yearly cleanings to monitor water damage and take further precautions if necessary next winter. Both service men were very personable and experienced. They explained everything clearly and performed all services onsite during the visit. I will be using Owens for our yearly cleaning and inspection going forward.

My young adult son who was home at the time of service had no complaints.

The service was A+. The workers were A+. They were very prompt. They left the area fine before they left.

David took pictures and was able to show me the issue we have with the chase cover and pan as well as the storm collar. He provided two quotes for the work to fix the issues and was patient and responsive to all my questions. He arrived promptly and was extremely friendly and professional. Would absolutely use David and Owens Chimney again.

The guys were on time and we're super courteous and professional. They took pictures of everything to show me exactly what condition my chimney was in and provided a written report of the service. Absolutely wonderful service! I will definitely use Owens in the future and would suggest them to anyone.
