Description of Work: A valve and the coil in one of our HVAC units went bad. They sent a very knowledgable person to go over the what and why of it and promptly had a technician come for the needed repairs. I will be purchasing their maintenance plan as well which we have had with another company for some time.

Description of Work: I called about a problem with HVAC leaking water into AC pan, triggering shut-off. Service Technician corrected the problem but strongly advised I install a new HVAC asap and called a Sales Specialist, a friend of his, to visit the same day. The Technician and Specialist used some strange tactics to encourage a hasty sale. After fixing the problem the Tech turned the thermostat from "On" to "Fan" before he left without letting me know causing my house to warm, Tech warned of water damage that could cause my kitchen roof to fall to the floor overnight, Tech said my coolant was depleted and it would make no sense to replenish since it would just leak out anyway (even though it is near the end of the summer season), Sales guy reiterated all the Tech warnings with a hard sell and quoted about $13K for an overly-powerful system - almost twice the quote I received from another provider. |My AC is working fine after the fix and it's been almost two weeks - I was told it likely wouldn't last more than a day. |

Description of Work: I recently had to get a new air conditioning unit as one of my units went out. I changed from 2, two tone units to one 4 ton unit. I had a meeting with the sales lady and they actually came out to install the next day (Sat). The crew that came out was very professional and did a great job. They were there at 9:30am and worked until 7pm. I did have to call the company back to come reset the keypad as it was overriding the temp I was inputting, but the manager came out and was very nice and was quickly able to make the adjustments needed to the electronic keypad device in the attic. I was very pleased with their service and would certainly recomend them to others. They were a little pricey, but the level of service, how quickly they were able to install, and the quality of unit that I now have was worth it.

Description of Work: They diagnosed my a/c issues which turned out to be what I expected, a bad capacitor in the compressor. My issue with MJ is the price they quoted to repair the capacitor. They wanted to charge me $340 to replace a capacitor that I can get at Grainger for $35. The othere issue I have is that I thought they would apply the $89 service call charge towards the repairs but they don't. I totally get that they should make a profit but that price is highway robbery. Brothers will do that for about half the price. Anyways, I waited till Monday, bought the capacitor from Grainger and repaired the unit in about 20 minutes.

Description of Work: Our air conditioner broke down Friday afternoon, 7/24/2015. We called Morris-Jenkins and they sent Wes out that evening to evaluate the problem. He found leaks in the condenser coil. After he explained the situation to us, we had him add refrigerant to the unit so that it would provide cooling on a short term basis. The next day Martin came to our house and explained our options in detail. Given the age of the unit, we chose installing a new unit over replacing the coils. The next day Alan and Chris came and installed the new unit. All of these gentlemen were very knowledgeable and extremely courteous. We are very satisfied with their work.
