The professional from Morris Jenkins arrived quickly, identified that only a relay needed replacement and fixed it promptly.

We are what they call VIP customer, we pay extra for this and when I called them, they said we can get someone out there tomorrow. I'm like my house is flooding. They were like well we will turn off the water and I was like I can't be without water. I had to practically beg them to come.They need to treat their VIP customers a little bit better since we paying for that service. About the price, we didn't really have a choice. Heres the water heater, this one is $3000 if you want a tankless, its $4500. I'm like have you don't have any other, well this is the best one. Oh okay well what if I wanted to worst one because I'm not going to be here in 2 years. This is the one we recommend. I was pretty much forced to pay $3000 for this water heater.

We were paying approximately $20 a month. For price, they weren't particularly out of line; I could save some money. It is undetermined if I would use them again. I have no ax to grind with them. I just found somebody who could do the job and it was a little bit less. The reason I switched to another company was economics and reputation based upon a referral.

This company should be ashamed of themselves. We had an issue with our air conditioner the other night during a heat wave and couldn’t get a hold of our heating & air service vendor so we called Morris Jenkins. Their customer service people on the call were very courteous and explained their preferred customer program which would help reduce costs on this service call and future ones. In any case I signed up for it thinking if they did a respectable job as they did on a previous plumbing issue they handled at an earlier date I would just switch vendors. They advised us to shut of the air a/c unit and they would get a service man out. Their serviceman man arrived within a reasonable amount of time given the late hour of the evening and spent a couple hours checking the system. He then made a formal proposal including pictures as to what was necessary to fix the current problem. Our a/c unit is 4 to 5 years old. The proposal he gave had 4 options beginning with a $3,000+ fix to a high of a $5,000+ remedy. It’s now 3hrs later at 1:00 am and I ended his visit without accepting any of his proposals, he left us with no air conditioning. We finally had our current vendor out the next day and learned from them that everything was OK and that probably the unit had a freeze issue with the coils which needed to thaw out, our a/c unit is working fine now. I think about all kinds of people, especially seniors and young families being taken advantage by these kinds of tactics. Shame on them.

We have a service contract with them. The service check is free.
Description of Work: They come out every six months to do an service check. The replaced something in the air conditioner that I don't remember what that was, and it wasn't free, and they do the six month inspection.

I called Morris - Jenkins today to get a price for the Nest Smoke/CO2 detectors. I need 6 units and iI need them all installed. They quoted me a price of $218 per unit installation. That doesn't include the price of the unit! I don't know if the rep who answered priced that incorrectly but that is truly highway robbery if that just the cost to install one unit. I just can't believe that you would charge someone over $1200 in installation costs for these detectors. The installation process is no different for these detectors than others. I just got a quote from another company of $510 for all 6 units which includes installation. PUBLIC BEWARE OF PRICING!!

We signed up for their automatic preventive maintenance program. They do furnace inspections each year and air conditioning inspections each year. It also will cover any repairs that are needed and have in the past. Both of our units have been until this year under warranty because they do a 10-year warranty when they install their system and they have honored it. On the price, they are a little bit above-average, but worth every penny.

Overall, I got what I paid for, a second opinion for about $95… But here is the entertaining part. Morris Jenkins wanted $9-12k for a 3.5 ton new unit; based on whether I wanted their “premium”, “deluxe” or “standard” central air conditioner and cased coil unit. Price included installation and probably someone’s vacation on top of it.. But in all seriousness.. I got two additional quotes for equal or better equipment in the $4300 to $4600 range. Less than HALF what Morris Jenkins wanted me to pay… INSANE. I’m not sure how these folks stay in business. I assume the majority of folks don’t pay ~$100 for a second opinion, see all the Morris Jenkins advertisements and trust that Morris Jenkins charges competitively. I’m a business owner, I respect a profit but feel slighted Morris Jenkins tried to charge me what they did.. So I take personal time to share my story out of disgust with my experience with Morris Jenkins. I hope folks read this and don’t get taken advantage of.. No reason to pay these prices..
Description of Work: Had Morris-Jenkins come out and provide second opinion on an HVAC system that went bad; cased coil was 12 years old, leaking and needed to be replaced along with a new air conditioner unit outside. I agreed with the analysis, they corroborated what I suspected and what another HVAC company had already told me as well.. what I didn’t agree with was Morris Jenkins price to install new equipment.

We have a contract set up with them. We are preferred customers and we see them twice a year. We pay a monthly fee, so it doesn't cost us anything when they come. We've used these people for years.

I am a priority advantage so they come out every quarter and half a year to check my heating and half a year to check my air conditioning. They were here about a month ago. They are consistent and check everything very thoroughly. They clean the units so they do a good job. I feel comfortable with the equipment in their hands.

Professional, on time, honest, quality work. I joined the priority advantage club and have had consistently good experiences over the course of several years. They're available till midnight, and offer weekend maintenance windows, which work well with my busy schedule. They are more expensive, but I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. We have a maintenance contract with them. They come out twice a year. Their prices tend to be a little bit higher, and they always try to up sell you something, and that doesn't always work out. They leave the area neat and tidy when they are finished.

I am not sure if the exchanger had gone out yet, but the a/c was not working. I decided to replace the part and the a/c unit is running well again. I will be using them again in the future.
