He was helpful in explaining the situation. He recommended I upgrade the unit ASAP and mentioned that they would be able to help with financing etc.

The experience was terrible. The furnace is only 3 years old. This guy came out; when he was all finished he told me that everything was ok. I think he was inexperienced. He was real nice but the next day the furnace went off. There was no heat at all so I called him back. He tried to fix it but he couldn’t. Finally he got it going and the next day the same thing happened; it went off. So I called Morris-Jenkins and told them to send somebody that had a lot of experience because there was nothing wrong with my furnace. Then they sent a new guy. He looked around for 2 hours and he came down and told me that he had to have things replaced. It’s a brand new furnace so I told him to go back up and look again because I know that guy did something wrong. He finally went up again. He told me that he put some water on this one thing and he didn’t wipe it off that’s why it was stuck and the furnace kept going off. It took 3 days. I had it serviced every year just like the air conditioner. They were very nice. They finally wiped up the water. It was a big deal purchase. The price was great. Everything else was great. I would get somebody else in the future because they cost more. For that money, I guess they send newbies out. I don’t want some brand new person working on my furnace.

Always very professional, always on time unless you are called prior. Very nice techs, they do not recommend selling you things you do not need. Supervisor is always available to call if you have questions or comments about your service. I tried 3 other services and Morris Jenkins is the best.
Description of Work: Cleaned and serviced my 2 furnaces for winter. Since I am a priority advantage customer, my a/c check and furnace check are provided free included in the price of being a priority advantage customer

I called Morris Jenkins to request emergency service as my heater went out and the temperatures were going down to below 20. The gentleman on the phone was vary professional and responsive. However, the tech who arrived appeared to be irritated he had to disrupt his Sunday evening. He barely looked at the unit (didn't even remove the panel), in my condo. When he found out the unit was on the roof, he quickly stopped what he was doing and headed for the door. His explanation was he needed to get back home as the company did not work on rooftop units. He was obviously more concerned about getting his Sunday evening back, than he was about helping me solve my problem. while I understand his company may not service roof top units, it was his attitude that got in the way. No worries, I called another Angie's List supplier who was fine with coming after hours (10 pm), who diagnosed the problem and had an entirely different attitude.
Description of Work: Nothing, quit the diagnosis before he ever got started.

We had a problem with our air conditioner and it was not working. It was easy to schedule an appointment as they called right away and arrived on time. When they came, they basically told us that the whole unit needed to be replaced. They said they would not even recommend to have it repaired until it was replaced. We then had another company to come out and give a second opinion. They were able to complete the repair for a couple hundred of dollars. They should have looked at the problem more thoroughly.

They were very good and they're top of the line. I was super happy with them. They saved me so much money over competitors. They're very knowledgeable and professional. I was surprised thinking that they're more expensive.

We have a service contract with another company that is supposed to do our annual check ups on our AC/Furnace. We just recently moved to the area and were doing our first winter inspection with this other company. The tech for the other company gave us a list of things that were allegedly wrong with the system - major problems that, according to them, would require us to replace the entire system. He then quickly passed me off to a sales person that came and sat with me. Through the whole process I felt uncomfortable, like they were pushing just a little too hard to have us replace the entire system before we would have a second chance to get a second opinion. I decided to call Morris-Jenkins for a second opinion after reading all of their positive reviews here on Angie's List. Both the receptionist and the tech were extremely courteous in walking me through their procedure. They let me know what to expect and thoroughly answered all of my questions. I informed the Morris-Jenkins tech of the problems that the other company's tech had allegedly found. He did not find ANY problems with any of the issues the other company mentioned. He did say that one of the systems was getting old and may be near its end of life, but so far as he could tell everything looked like normal wear and tear. As long as it was functioning correctly, he recommended, he would not do anything except to maybe start putting money aside in case it does. I was extremely grateful and will be happy to call Morris-Jenkins when it comes time to replace our systems.

I have been a Priority Advantage customer with Morris-Jenkins for 5 years now. While I do feel the cost of being a Priority Advantage customer is on the higher side, you get what you pay for. ALL of the Morris-Jenkins technicians who have come out to my home over the years have been very professional, clean and knowledgeable. I have not yet experienced a breakdown of my systems, even though they are aging. Again, Morris-Jenkins is not the cheapest heating/air provider in the Charlotte area, but the service level makes up for it.

We made a special 3-day trip from out of state to a home we had purchased to move some belongings andt switch the a/c to heat. When we arrived and made the switch ... No heat. It was almost midnight, but we scrambled to the phone book and called M-J. By 7:30 the next morning, we had two repairmen out checking the system. Previous owners had had the gas shut off because of leaks but had not disclosed that information. M-J's crews replaced the leaking furnace and piping and had us warm in cozy --- all completed before we had to leave. Well done!

I just purchased a house, and signed up for the Priority Advantage service. The previous owners used them as well, although I didn't know that at the time I signed up. The office team was awesome, however my appointment came and went w no contact. When I called in, they still had the previous owners phone numbers somehow associated with the house, even though I had an account in my name. They sent someone within an hour of that missed window, so they were very responsive. While here, they determined that I have a main gas line, with 3 splits for the HVAC, water heater and fire place, and all 3 were leaking. When they reviewed the house records they had, the last time they were out, they reported 2 of the 3 were leaking. I went ahead and had these replaced and they are now under a lifetime warranty if they leak, they will fix them. Also since I signed up for PA, I received a discount on the service.
Description of Work: Examined the HVAC and hot water heater and completed a check up. Replaced 3 gas regulators on the lines that were leaking.

Completely unsatisfactory, terrible customer service - I sat through 10 minutes of your silly hold message only to get told by your customer representative 'Too bad, not our problem' - Your cheerful stupid commercials are a a lie and a shill. Con artists, happy to take thousands from me when you have a big job, but the little ones are not worth your time. You just managed to kiss off significant future work,
Description of Work: Wonderful advertisements - coupled with horrible customer service and attitude. I have previously used Morris Jenkins - a major HVAC upgrade and repair. They where very happy to work with me then. I called this morning because my tankless water heater, which is mounted on the outside wall of my home is frozen. The answer - "I am sorry we don't work on tankless systems unless we installed it' - well the company I used went out of business - the answer 'well nothing we can do about it, we don't work on them". I will NEVER use Morris Jenkins again - too bad for them too since this spring I am replacing my upstairs HVAC - but they won't be getting the business. Horrible attitude and totally unsatisfactory service.

Morris Jenkins serviced 3 units for us getting them ready for winter needs. They were very prompt in scheduling the service and did a very good job for us. We will use them in the future for all of our heat/ac needs. Their price was more economical than our past providers.

I purchased a furnace tune-up from Morris Jenkins through one of their deals. A week after the tune-up was completed my furnace stopped working. I called to have them come back out to see if the issue was related to the tune-up and the repair man explained that my control board needed to be replaced. They quoted a price which I felt was a bit high so I felt it would be prudent to get a second opinion. Upon telling the repair man that I would be getting a second quote he began to laugh at me. He than started asking me if I trusted him or not to which I explained I didn't know him and thought it would be smart to get a second opinion. He explained how much more it would cost me to do that because I would have to pay for another diagnostic which I explained I was willing to do. A few days later I had another company come out who determined it was actually the flame sensor and was able to fix it for about a sixth of the price that Morris Jenkins quoted me. Morris Jenkins did refund my diagnostic fee after I explained the situation. Unfortunately the first experience was so unprofessional that I will not use this company again.

I have always been satisfied with them. If you call with a problem they have got nice people and they can provide you service the same day. And they can provide you service after hours and I don't let them till eleven O'clock and I don't think they charge anymore.

It did not. And the same thing happened when my AC went out 2 summers ago. The quickest they could get someone here was 2 days later. I want to throw a brick at the TV everytime I see their commercials Meanwhile 5 hours after leaving my info with the answering service this morning I still have not gotten a call. Good thing I did not wait on them or I would have icicles growing off my nose. If anybody ever does call me they are not going to like what I have to say
Description of Work: Absolutely nothing. My heat started blowing cold air. I called at 6:45 this morning, sat on hold 6 minutes then got an answering service to take my info for someone to call me back. Called a local competitor, got a real employee and got an appt for 900 am. Guess who got my business. Work completed.
