Absolutely great. Nathan called before he came and was prompt. I recently cut ties with my former HVAC provider Ander***. With my former company,who installed the units, by the way, they would come out twice a year, never stayed more than 45 minute and always left us frustrated confused and broke. Working with Morris Jenkins was the complete opposite. Nathan stayed at my home for at least 3 hours. He meticulously cleaned the outside units, as well as all of the vents in the house. What blew me away is when Nathan took the time to explain everything we has in our home pertaining to HVAC. He educated us on how to keep our units running efficiently and was so personable. I am so sorry that I didn't know about Morris Jenkins before, but best believe they will be our HVAC serviced going forward. A+++++

On first contact with Morris-Jenkins, everything went well. I spoke with a representative who was helpful and courteous. At the end of our conversation I was informed I would be contacted that day for an AC system quote. After two days of waiting, I had not received a call. I proceeded to call them and ask for a quote. From this point, everything went downhill. The sales rep had a rude and condescending attitude towards me when I mentioned that his $12,000 price quote was $5,000 more than those I had gotten from other companies. In his words, "you can buy a piece of crap unit and we will install it for you. But there will still be a high premium for our labor." This response and his attitude were what ended our conversation as well as my business with Morris-Jenkins. I will never refer them to anyone - even for an AC repair.

I was very pleased to feel like I was in good hands. This is the service call that I expect to pay for and know that my money was well spent. Morris-Jenkins had all the records of my new home's service and equipment. The problem was identified and confirmed, and then fixed. The system has been working as expected ever since. I liked the experience so much, that I decided to continue the Service Contract with Morris-Jenkins that same day. While I hope to not need to make such a call again, I am comforted that I can expect the same level of service if I should need it again.
Description of Work: On day one of moving into our new house, the central air would start, run for 5 minutes and shutdown. The process would repeat over and over, but not cool the house down. Morris-Jenkins had a Service Contract with the previous owner of the house, so we opted to have them make a service call. Morris-Jenkins sent a technician the next day, at a convenient time. He was courteous, professional, confident and knowledgeable. The problem was diagnosed in less than 15 minutes, and the fix was quick and easy.

HVAc problem. Condenser was constantly running, during Memorial Day weekend. Hard to find any other provider. They came on a Sunday. My problem was due to a loose screw. Their fee for visit, higher than most. Stated they charge more because they use only top quality parts that have more durability. I did not get any parts, but for convenience it was worth it having the option of late night availability. Unlike others, they will tell you what worn parts they see. In reviewing my future needs, they told me what they would charge to replace parts that looked worn. I had sticker shock at their prices. However, i felt it good to know, so i could save up for future problems. They offer a yearly maintenance plan, which is comparative to most.if a person does not wish to invest in very expensive parts, don't call MJ., that's all they guarantee. Advisable to consider them, if you have old unit. They offer a discount on service if you a a part of their yearly plan though.

Actually took several days for someone to respond and set up a time and date. I was in no hurry, so that wasn't a problem. Technician arrived, introduced himself and went immediately to work. He took amperage readings, etc. He then came into the house after putting on cloth covers on his shoes-much appreciated. Checked the thermostat and asked if I had any questions which I did not.

The process was to take about 2 hours. Seemed long to me but.. what do I know. And that's where I feel is the biggest problem of this whole experience. After the exam, the tech and I talked about what he thought were the issues with my a/c systems. I asked if there was a report created for my perusal and he said yes, if he at this point was done. I was confused because I thought it was just a check up and that was it. He was waiting for me to sign up for some , what I thought, were expensive repairs. Our system runs fine, cools and heats wonderfully and see no issues at all. Long story short..... I really feel that it was a sales call and not a check up for my benefit, as it was explained to me upon initial telephone call. I was disappointed that this company, that I thought had a great reputation was trying to take advantage of me. I will be looking for another company to take care of my systems. Now 3months later they are still charging my credit card. I cancelled immediately, but now they say I owe for the service call. I would recommend staying as far away from this company as you possibly can.

Salesman came out to give us a quote since we are using them already for the maintenance program. We got a discount for a new unit for being on the program and they discount a repair we had with them last year. You would think that this price would beat everyone else. Not even close. They were extremely over priced and then when I mentioned it to the Salesman, he could not have cared less. They also seemed to bash their competition rather then just giving me the information on their product. I was extremely disappointed after giving them my business over the past few years. Their techs were always great to deal with, it is unfortunate we will no longer do business with them.

The service was great. They were in and out in one day. They cleaned everything up and they had five trucks here doing the work. They came in and they worked steady all day long. They did an excellent job. My electric bill is about a third of what it used to be. They were very responsive, they follow if I have a question on something and everything was just wonderful.

They very carefully took apart the pieces to be cleaned and put them all back...the furnace worked perfect all winter. I did sign up as one of their preferred customers and it does cost about $20 per month , but for that they do come out twice a year, in the spring and fall to check the heating and Airconditioning. Yes, there was a bit of a hard sell, but I needed a good company and had worked with Morris Jenkins in the past, so it was not an issue. They are due out at the end of this week, May 23rd, the check the a/c....I was a bit surprised THEY didn't call me to be proactive in setting up the appointment.

The upstairs unit in my house had blown warm air a couple of times intermittently, so I wanted to get everything checked out. I bought this package as it represented a bit of a discount over their typical service call fee. They were polite and professional on the phone, although it took them several days to get someone out to see me. The technician showed up within the window they specified. Barely so, but he made it. Upon arriving, the technician was polite and seemed relatively knowledgeable. Upon checking my units, he recommended cleaning the units, adding refrigerant to them and changing both the dual capacitors and blower motor capacitors on my units, as they were outside the tolerances that Morris Jenkins recommends. My problem wasn't necessarily with the technician, but the the prices he's forced to quote. I had him clean the units, just to save me some time and add the refrigerant, as you need a HVAC license to purchase it. Including the $100 I spent on Angie's List, this cost me a total of approximately $700. To replace the dual capacitors, they quoted me $388 each and to replace the blower motor capacitors was $174 each. That's $1,124 worth of capacitors. What they don't tell you is that you can purchase the same capacitors online--at any number of sites--for $25 and $12 a piece, respectively. That's a total of $74 for the four same name-brand capacitors that came in my units from the factory, not a knock off.. To change a capacitor involves turning off the breaker, pulling maybe three wires off the old capacitor's terminals and pushing them onto the terminals of the new capacitor. That's it. A total of maybe 15-30 minutes for all four of them and it doesn't really require any level of technical knowledge. I've done it several times before at our homes over the years. My guess is that this type of pricing structure is widespread across this industry, but that doesn't make it right. It's completely outrageous to gouge customers like this. Seems to me like they have these supposedly great deals to get the technician in your house and then have to make all of it up on any repairs. With the advent of the internet though, these companies have to change. People aren't stupid and we have access to more and more information every day, whether contractors like it or not.
Description of Work: I purchased two $49 A/C check up packages for the two seven year-old units at my home. Technician recommended cleaning the units, adding refrigerant and changing all capacitors. I had them clean the units and add refrigerant.

The technician showed up and identified what the problem was. He was very courteous and quickly identified the problem. He showed me the problem a bad capacitor on the condenser unit and told me it would be $500 to fix. It looked simple to fix as I am handy and he told me how to fix it. I invested 30 mins and $65 and had it up and running again. I really appreciated how up front he was with me.

There service technicians work on commision. Service technician came to my house and told me that I need $1,038.48 of parts on my air handler. I could get brand new air handler for $500.00 and under warranty. They will run up the bill on you to get to get alot on there commision. I got my air condition repaired from another company for $140.00. ASll I needed was leak fixed and refridgerant. There technician lied directly to my face and smiled.

I have joined with Morris Jenkins monthly payment program which means I simply pay $17/Month and they come out and perform a system inspection TWICE per year free of charge! They also offer a 10% discount on any work that they do. You also get priority service ahead of others who are not a monthly subscriber. I called on a Sunday afternoon and they offered me 3 time slots (All were for the same day ON A WEEKEND within 4 hours! This was all at no surcharge since I am a monthly payment customer! How awesome is that?!?) They quickly found the problem and gave me an estimate which I have shopped around and it is a fair price for the work that they will need to do. I will be scheduling them to come out and fix my A/C this coming week. The tech that came to my house was very courteous and was careful not to make a mess as he did his diagnostics. I highly recommend Morris Jenkins heating and air!

It worked out very well. We had someone else doing it and they told us that we had a CO2 leak and that we should shut down everything in the house and scared me. Then the manager or somebody came back and said, "No, there is nothing leaking in here." So we decided we'd just go with someone else. So we got Morris-Jenkins out here. They checked everything and said we were just fine. We signed up for the service thing with them, where they come out and do it twice a year and all that. They didn't really do any work, they just inspected everything. Our interaction with the provider was very good. The guy that came was very, very nice and showed us that we were not going to die and it worked out really, really well. They came out really quickly after the deal was purchased.
