They are responsive and available on nights and weekends.

They were recommended to us by a friend. Gene Maye is who we worked with primarily, but he is retired now. He was very good. I thought they were very good and competitively priced. I think they did a fine job. The man who came out to do the remedial work was very good. That was 2 years ago. We would still use them now.

It was a good experience. They did what they said they were going to do. They showed up on time and everything went very well. This is the second time we have used them and we have been happy both times.

The salesman, Dan Kovach, came out to give us an estimate to replace just the furnace and also an alternate estimate to add replacing the evaporator coil and outside A/C unit. After Piedmont Natural Gas installed the gas line on a Wed., Maye came the next Monday to install the furnace. The installers were very professional and courteous. After consulting with someone from the office they came up with a better way to install the new furnace than just placing it where the old oil furnace was which resulted in a much cleaner and more efficient installation. After improving the ductwork configuration to match up to the new furnace position we have a much more efficient and effective heating system. The old evaporator coil was in poor condition so it was also replaced but only after consulting with us and explaining the need to replace it.

Maye came out and did an estimate, which was a very good price compared to others we received. They scheduled us for an installation the following week. When our old unit was having problems pumping out A/C during a heatwave while we were waiting, the installer came out and gave it a freon boost for free, to hold us over until the new unit could be installed. The installers were on time, courteous, and had everything installed by dinner time the same day. The inside unit was sitting on a platform that they found had pools of old water in it from the old unit that they took out. When we asked them how much extra it would be to install a new platform, they said that the installation price was for the whole job, so they would replace it for nothing extra. Overall we are quite happy with Maye. We've been using them for the past 5 years to maintain our old unit, and they are always reasonable priced, courteous and professional. I will not hestiate to use them again in the future!

Our 17-year-old furnace finally died. We called Maye because we had been impressed with them when they did an estimate on another job last year. We should have hired them back then. The salesman gave us a number of options and spent a lot of time answering our questions. They were able to fit us in the next morning and the job was finished before we knew it! We also purchased a service agreement.

We had a contract with Maye to check our system bi-annually. They discovered a cracked heat exchanger, which could lead to excess carbon monoxide in the house. Maye's estimate was almost $2000 less than the one we got from another company and they were more open in discussing the costs. The salesman also showed us a utility company web site that compared operating costs of different heating systems so we had another source for determining the best system for our needs. They scheduled the work quickly and most of the work was done in two days. A piece for the air cleaner had to be custom made and that was installed the following week. They were consistently polite and neat while doing their work and didn't mind our large dogs being present.

Overall they did a good job. They were on time and completed the job as estimated. The installers were courteous and professional.

They did the job correctly. I have no further problems with the furnace. They were hard to schedule a convenient time for repair.

The technician was on time and professional. He provided useful information and answered all my questions. I decided to use another company however. I would use them in the future.

MAYES WAS $50 MORE THAN THE OTHER COMPANY WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME, BUT I DECIDED TO GO WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE MEMBERS OF ANGIE'S LIST AND THE REPORTS ON THEM, ALTHOUGH NOT VERY MANY, WERE GOOD. ALSO THEY WERE LOCATED NOT TOO FAR FROM MY HOME. WHEN I CALLED THEM FOR AN ESTIMATE THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO STAY AT HOME ALL DAY AND WAIT FOR THEM. ALSO, WHEN THEY INSTALLED THE UNIT THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT I AM VERY SATISFIED SO FAR. I SAY SO FAR BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN LESS THAN A WEEK BUT EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE WORKING VERY WELL. I FEEL LIKE THE PRICE OF $1650 IS FAIR. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT I AM VERY SATISFIED SO FAR. I SAY SO FAR BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN LESS THAN A WEEK BUT EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE WORKING VERY WELL.

THIS COMPANY CURRENTLY HAS MY SERVICE CONTRACT. AFTER CHECKING WITH SEVERAL OTHER COMPANIES, THEIR PRICES WERE THE BEST. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORKERS. WE HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE INSTALLATION, BUT THEY WERE ALWAYS QUICK TO RESPOND.

THEY MISSED OUT ON A $8500 JOB BECAUSE I HAD TO ASK TWICE FOR THEIR OFFER. THIS DID NOT HELP ME TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT HOW THEY WOULD HAVE PERFORMED ON THE JOB ITSELF.

THE PRICE VARIES DEPENDING ON THE JOB. WE HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS AND THEY ALWAYS DO GREAT WORK.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB; THE MEN WHO DID THE WORK WERE COURTEOUS AND NEAT. THEY STARTED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND FINISHED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WAS THAT THEY DID NOT CALL OR LEAVE NOTES TO TELL ME HOW THE JOB WAS GOING, WHEN THEY WOULD BE DONE, ETC. BUT THEIR PRICES WERE VERY COMPETITIVE AND THE JOB WAS DONE ON TIME AND NEATLY.

THE TEAM THEY SENT OUT WORKED WELL TOGETHER. THEY HAD MY SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING IN ONE DAY. EACH PERSON HAD HIS OWN SPECIALTY AND DID IT WELL. ONE OF THE GENTLEMAN WAS ACTUALLY ON HIS WAY HOME AFTER ANOTHER JOB, SAW THAT THEY WERE STILL WORKING ON MY SYSTEM AND STOPPED TO HELP.

CAME OUT, MEMBER PAID SERVICE CHARGE, SAID THEY'D SEND SOMEONE BACK TO FIX PROBLEM AND THEY NEVER DID.

AFTER A SERIES OF TERRIBLE EXPERIENCES WE WERE VERY HAPPY TO FIND MAYE, THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND ARE VERY NICE. FAMILY OWNED MEMBER THINKS
