+ -1 morePoor experience due to being told that I didn't have any problems. I then I had a contractor here to check out another problem when he found considerable damage. Killo reported that they weren't responsible and that it was my problem not theirs. After awhile I finally got them to cover half the repairs.
Description of Work: They came out and thought there was no problem however I found considerable damage done by termites. They had came and treated for termites last April and neglected to find a problem then also.

+ -1 moreI found them to be more effective and more modern than the company I used prior. With the maintenance program I haven't seen any pest. They were on time when I needed them, they were professional and did what I needed them to do. What I felt was more modern was when they came they used a technique that I am more used to; they came in with a spray and sprayed inside and outside using strictly a liquid formulation. One of the other pest crew that I used before them had used a fogging machine and they fogged outside, not inside. They used a particular fog that I felt was a little more sketchy. I wasn't sure how effective it was, but I thought it was going to stick around and be more breathable. I give them an A and I usually don't give that out, I default to giving someone a B, but the thing is I have the maintenance program and I haven't seen any pests. The price is average.
Description of Work: We use Killo Exterminating Co Inc for pest control. I am on regular maintenance with them for $80 every 3 months.

+ -1 moreI like their service. They regularly come or they either remind me that I’m due for bug spray. They also ask me if I need any additional services in case I find any new bugs. In other words if there’s anything that’s changed from the previous visit, they give extra care. It’s a good service. They charge me $90 a quarter for their services.

+ -1 moreThey are too difficult to work with. They do not put the customer's needs first! I have a job that is a distance from home and the fact that I have to make arrangements to take time off work in order to schedule the service, they found it too difficult to work with my scedule so they made me "inactive" and the employee that I would directly coordinate with in the field, would not return my calls. Because I have a job and don't have others to depend on in my household, it was too inconvenient for their staff to work with me so they made me "inactive" and would not return my calls when I tried to set up my quarterly service. I suppose they don't need the business so I will also cancel the other business I have provided them with my job.
Description of Work: I have 1800 sq ft home and I have used their services for over 10 years for pest control. At one time, their customer service was outstanding but with the change of staff in the last year, it is the worst customer service I have ever received!

Description of Work: September 29.2011 We signed on as a customer with Killo Exterminating Co. , Inc. in 1977 when purchasing our current home due to the need for termite treatment and just remained with them ever since by an annual renewal contract. However, over the last few years we became dissatisfied with their representation and the need for us to make a personal effort to obtain an appointment for our annual inspection. Upon receiving their renewal form in the mail earlier this year we decided to check out other options. However, I did place a call and spoke with a woman named Becky (who has been there for years) to request a free estimate for cleaning out of our crawl space and replacing the moisture barrier if needed. Becky was very quick to advise me her company did not make FREE CALLS. They would be glad to do the work and add the cost onto our annual fee for inspection but no Free calls and/or estimates were provided by her company. To this I replied we would not be renewing our annual inspection contract to which she replied....that will be fine with us. What an attitude for a disgruntled employee to take with a customer of thirty four years. No problem, for whatever reason things happen for the best. We have just completed our third and final request for free estimate and/or inspection from other exterminating companies in the area and have found one we like and accept We look forward to doing business with Economy Exterminators, Inc. in the future. + -1 moreI found some insects around my home. I put them in a container because I did not know the name of the insects. I called Killo Exterminating Co because I have used them prior and thought very highly of them. They said they would inspect the insects for free. I brought the container to the store and the President Brian showed me a book full of insects. He discussed with me the difference between between each insect and educated me on how to get rid of them. He spent at least 30 minutes speaking with me and it was free. Yesterday, 9/20/11, I took another container with insects over for Brian to inspect. He called me back this morning and spent another 30 minutes explaining the insects and ways to get rid of them. He could not have been more polite or helpful. They are a fantastic company and I would never use anyone for exterminating but Killo Exterminating Co. To spend this much time with a customer for free is very unusual today. I also used them a year ago at my home and they gave me a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: I found insects around my home and brought them to Killo Exterminating Co for inspection.

+ -1 moreThey are fantastic. They are polite and conservative about the amount of chemicals that they use. They are always very considerate about our pets and in ensuring that the pets are not outside when they are spraying. They call to let us know that they are coming. They are just great.

Since we have pets they tell us what extra care to take after they’re done with their work. So I’m very appreciative of that. I’ve used them for probably five years now. Their quality is very good. I will use their services again in the future.

+ -1 moreWe have a contract with them. We pay them quarterly. I have a garden so Drew makes sure that he doesn't spray it so I can have produce and butterflies and caterpillars. He is very conscious about not spraying in the areas that I want to have food production. We will absolutely continue to use them.

They always come and explain exactly everything that they are doing and everything that they sprayed. They alert me to anything that they might have noticed around the house even if it is something that is not in their line of business. They are just extremely helpful.

We've had an ant problem that he has come out twice since the initial service to correct. He always comes out within about 24 hours of our call, and he makes sure he's thorough in attacking the issues. We've been very satisfied with the value and results of this service, especially compared against vendors we've used in the past, such as Terminix.
Description of Work: Killo provides us a quarterly insect extermination service. They also come out in between quarterly visits if we call and have issues with insects.

(The problem pointed out would not in any way benefit the exterminating company and was simply a courtesy from the inspection and was considered a "good to know item" at no addtional cost.)
