Great, quick....works....fixed the drainage problem

he is very good at what he does but we can't afford him at this time. I ranked him fair on price, and by that I mean he gives a fair price for what he does. It's just that he's not cheap.

Kevin and his crew are very professional. He makes an effort to save us money where possible. His services are not inexpensive, but he does an excellent job.

They are very good! They show up when the say they will and the work is always performed correctly.

Kevin and his crew installed a very natural looking gravel pathway. It blends beautifully with my plantings and the style of my home. He picked up on my taste and gave me what I wanted. He advised me of all my options and helped my achieve the desired result while staying within my budget.

It looks SO good and Kevin is the ultimate professional. I have never encountered anyone in this industry who has the organization and ability to invoice/respond/execute as well as he and his company does. Highly recommended!

They took out the boxwood bushes next to my front stoop and replaced them with shrubs and mulch. I asked for low maintenance plants and they put in just that. I am extremely satisfied with the work they did.

He did not show up for the appointmernt

Everything went well. I was preparing the house for sale and needed things looking perfect. They showed up and completed all of the work in one day. I went through everything that I wanted them to do, and when I returned home it was all done. Nice work, no mess left behind. Very reasonable price. I would use them again

hey solved a yard drainage problem by putting in a retaining wall and shubbery. They also cleared a very wooded lot for us. Both times GREAT job - easy to work with and very responsive. Will use them again and again!

This company was so helpful and did not provide the type of service I was looking for but offered to give me a name and phone number for another company. He returned my call quickly, very professional, and very informative. Thanks!

We have used Kevin a couple of times in the past 5 years. He is professional, and has a good knowledge of most all aspects of landscaping. He is the best we have seen when it comes to drainage and water. All around he is a good choice for quality work and does what he says.

Kevin was very nice. On time. Professional and open. However I couldn't afford him. I guess I badly underestimated what my job was likely to cost. Ended up doing most of the work myself for LOTS less in materials cost and, of course, labor.

Very importantly, Kevin James was not interested in taking on my job; no service was provided to my property. Kevin James clearly communicated it would not generate a profit which I understand, but his delivery disregarded professionalism and respect and insulting as I understand general economics and did not need explanation. The conversation ended abruptly as it was clear my call pestered Kevin James. It is my intention Kevin James update his profile to reflect the size of jobs they are only interested in serving or his bottom line.

We found Kevin through Angie's List and recommendations on a neighborhood facebook page and we couldn't be happier! Kevin is very direct and to the point, which I like. He came out and gave a us a very fair estimate, which we agreed to and he started the work (aerating, seeding, and installing mulch beds). He even switched the type of mulch we were using as the new kind absorbs water and doesn't move as easily from our dogs. We have aerated and reseeded our lawn several times by ourselves with no luck. I don't know what Kevin did, but he is a miracle worker! The grass has come in beautifully. He repaired and re-positioned our sprinklers so that we were getting the most effective flow and not over watering. We went and picked out some trees and shrubs (4 japanese maples, 4 holly bushes, and 4 rose bushes) at a nursery. Kevin went and picked them up for us and installed them quickly and efficiently. They have all grown beautifully. He does great work! Our yard went from an ugly mud pit to a beautiful oasis. We plan to add more to it over the next few years and wouldn't think of calling anyone besides Kevin. He is very responsive to calls and texts and I would highly recommend him.

This company does not service "entire area" as stated, they do not do work in Gaston county.

Kevin was/is awesome! Professional, prompt, easy to reach, responsive, actually CARES about the work he's doing! Didn't like the way something looked and reached out to ME to correct it- will be using him again and highly recommend!

Kevin is very professional. We had a little trouble scheduling at a convenient time for me, but when he did the work it was done quickly and well.

I left a voicemail message for Kevin to come out to look at our backyard to remedy the drainage issues we?ve been experiencing. After a small game of phone tag, we were able to connect. He started by asking what I was calling about. When I said drainage issues in our backyard, as indicated in the voicemail message, he asked what kind of drainage. I let him know he would have to be a little more specific he began explaining the difference between an estimate and a consultation? has an engineer been out to access the issues and recommend options thus I would like Kevin to come out to monetarily quote said recommended options was as far as he got with the definition of estimate. When asked he did confirm that he was not an engineer, but I believe what he was trying to get at was that he would charge to come do a consultation since he said he and other professionals in his field weren?t in the business of giving stuff away for free. Unfortunately, that point was never made because upon telling him I had researched Angie?s List reviews to call a few top well-reviewed companies for drainage solutions to come out he interrupted with an anecdote that there are only about 3 companies in the Charlotte area that can do this correctly (he doesn?t yet know what needs to be done) and that most of the jobs are fixing other companies mistakes. He said he would suggest/what works best from his 15 years of experience is really researching websites, calling the BBB, looking at warranties, getting to know some people, etc. In the middle of the narrative he did say he didn?t want to talk down to me, which in the context can be equated to saying ?no offense, but?.? when you are getting ready to say something offensive to someone. When I explained that I am a younger woman as could most likely be determined from my voice, I did not just call out of the blue to waste his and my time. I explained much more research went into it than simply ?dialing the numbers of the first couple names on Angie?s List,? as he negatively referenced, the issues have been noted for the past 18 months and that a family friend was in the field of commercial drainage so we are somewhat aware of our needs, issues and what we need to have done and who we need to contact thus the reason for the call to get someone to my home. Kevin didn?t do any work for us. I hardly got 3 sentences in during a 5 minute phone call because Kevin was more interested in voicing that he was a subject matter expert than he was in listening to and proving his expertise to a potential customer. A potential customer who actively contacted him, is a targeted marketing demographic dream in terms of age, race, marital and economic status and who was ready, willing and able to pay for the consultation service as well as the work. I'm sure he is proficient in his profession, but before you think about calling Kevin, I would definitely become a subject matter expert yourself.
