Kevin and his team did an excellent job addressing a drainage issue on my patio. He was very knowledgeable and walked me through his thought process regarding how to best approach the issue, explaining multiple options and their respective benefits. I was impressed with the level of detail he gave me while going over everything. Once I decided on an option, I was able to easily schedule the work. He and his team were very friendly and professional and completed the work in a timely manner. I was impressed with both the quality of work and attention to detail! I am very happy with the work that they did and would highly recommend them to others!

The work performed was mulch installation. The crew showed up on time and they were very professional and respectful. After the mulch was installed they cleaned the yard and the driveway. The crew did a fantastic job and my yard looked wonderful! I highly recommend Kevin James Landscaping!

Great. Nobody else could figure out how to handle our back yard flooding issue, but Kevin and his team did the job with flying colors. It was a big job, but they got it done, and most importantly it works -and it has been severely testing this Spring.

Super professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Very hard working crew. Only breaking for lunch. Answered all questions. Did everything I asked the first time. This was a large project completed in four days. Had worked with another landscaper with an “A” rating previously but no comparison to Kevin James Landscape, Inc. If you need landscape work, call Kevin James and gain the peace of mind only possible in working with a true professional.

The work did not resolve the issue and when I called him to resolve the issue, he came out and said that he thought it was due to a leaking sprinkler. I told him that the system was off and there were no sprinkler heads or lines in the area, so he said he would return and resolve the issue. He never did show up to fix the problem. So the $3500 I spent to resolve the problem was completely wasted. I would never hire him or recommend his services to others.

Kevin's team did a great job on my landscape project. They were punctual, professional and were easy to work with. Kevin came out to the jobsite and did a great job in mapping out my project. When his team came to work, they were very friendly, wasted no time and I ended up with a fantastic yard.

I have worked with Kevin several times over the past 25 years and have never been disappointed, hence, the 25 years of repeat business. Everything went great; my wife and I had a pretty good idea of exactly what she wanted and Kevin added his observations, comments, and suggested changes. (Kevin has never been bashful about his 2 cents) A final plan was defined and work began. Although heavy weather interrupted the work, Kevin said he would be finished in three workdays and he was. He has always been very professional, detailed, candid, and understanding, and an honest pleasure to work with. All service professionals wish that could be said about them.

This is the third time we've hired Kevin and we won't go anywhere else - Kevin is responsible for most of the landscaping for our house. He's honest, trustworthy and dependable. His team's work is excellent and I cannot recommend him enough. We had a major renovation done on our house which transformed our backyard quite a bit. As a result, we began having some major drainage problems. My wife and I had envisioned adding some hardscaping to help an area that simply wouldn't grow any grass or plants. Kevin came by and assessed the situation and recommended a catch basin and drainage solution. In addition, he recommended against hardscaping and moved towards installing tamped gravel, with some stepping stones, as it would be much more economical. I couldn't envision it myself, but I trusted Kevin and the work came out even better than we could have imagined - we've gotten many compliments already. I've already recommended Kevin to our friends and was glad to hear one of our neighbors say great things about him as well. We'll only go to Kevin for any future landscaping needs.

Take your business elsewhere! I called for an estimate and spoke to Kevin James who quickly provided a fast talking pitch plugging all if his additional professional landscaper services. I explained to him exactly what I needed to have completed before he advised me that he would need $150 consultation fee to provide an actual estimate. When I explained to Kevin that no consultation services were actually needed, and I only wanted an estimate to install (2) 170’ French drains he became rude and quickly stated that he was “not interested in telling me how to solve my problems for free”. Immediately following that statement, he hung up on me. Beware!!!

with my wife and i both being working professionals and trying to corral a three year old, we needed someone reliable and trustworthy. kevin and his team proved to be both, and more, throughout the project. on reliability - kevin and team showed up when they said they would, he was always available- phone or in person - when i needed to discuss a wrinkle and always delivered same day estimates if we had substantive changes. on trustworthiness - he was always quick to point out what work was left to be done based on our agreement, i never had to chase him or his team to complete work - when he says he will take care of something, it gets done. he brings a great depth of knowledge to his craft, and with victor leading my project, his expertise and our vision came to life. i would recommend kevin and team without hesitation. one anecdote from my experience- with the hurricanes in clt back in aug/sept, we lost a large tree branch in our front yard. kevin and i were meeting one morning (our project was in our back yard), and as we wrapped, i noticed his crew cutting up the branch and loading it in their trucks. kevin’s comment was that he maintains a tidy workspace and there was no way he was leaving it. just an example of how he cares about building a relationship and delivering a quality product and experience. there isnt enough space here to convey my appreciation for his great work, but i know you wont be disappointed.

I am so ashamed to write this review 6 months late but I wanted to share that Kevin and his team did a fantastic job. Highly recommend, would use again in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything guys!

When I called Kevin to request a consultation, I was at my wit's end with a continuing yard drainage problem. I had obtained lots of input and multiple proposals from other sources, but I just wasn't convinced that those approaches were going to solve the problem to my satisfaction. After speaking with Kevin, it was easy for me to place my trust in him to see this project through. During the consultation phase, Kevin took the time to listen to all of my concerns, look at pictures and videos of the mess in my yard, and explain what he would suggest and why. He provided me with a proposal just a few hours after our meeting, and he answered my follow-up questions promptly. My husband and I decided to hire his company to install a drain with several catch basins and "branches" across the length of our backyard, to place another drain just outside our crawlspace door, to extend two downspouts further from our home, to create a swaile to help direct the flow of water away from the side of the house, and to core plug/add topsoil/seed/fertilize/straw in an effort to have a yard instead of a mud pit. (We have subsequently also purchased two trees from Kevin; his crew just delivered and installed those as well.) When his crew arrived to begin working, they were courteous and knowledgeable. Kevin visited the worksite frequently, and he and his crew leader kept me updated about the status of the project. They all continually went the extra mile to answer my questions, provide great care instructions for the new grass and trees, and do what they could to help me address watering issues. After it rained like crazy earlier this week, Kevin and his guys showed up (without my even having to ask) to tend to the new grass seed and rehab it after the storm. It is clear to me that Kevin takes pride in his company's work, and he has shown ownership over this project. I feel reassured knowing that, if I call with questions or concerns, he will be responsive and helpful. I'm looking forward to working with Kevin James Landscape for some (hopefully more fun!) projects in the future, and I recommend them highly.

KEVIN was the Only person that correctly diagnosed a drainage problem that I was experiencing an offer to remedy that would permanently fix the solution. All the other companies wanted to just install sump pump’s and pump the water out. KEVIN was the only one that was thorough enough to figure out where the water intrusion was coming from and how to keep it out in the first place. He and his team more punctual, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable… I was very confident in the work they performed and that they actually knew what they were doing. Not only did his crew perform the work as requested, they were very thorough and explained everything to me every step of the way and did a great job cleaning up and making everything look fantastic.

We are pleased with every aspect of the project. Kevin's crew was polite, willing to answer questions, and professional. Kevin did a super job of figuring out how to correct our landscaping problems.

Project involved removal of overgrown shrubs and replacement with a diverse selection of shrubs and trees. Project estimates were thorough, accurately detailing material and labor costs. Project work was completed as scheduled. Project side was left in immaculate condition. This was the third project of this type Kevin James Landscape has conducted for us.

Let us start with the conclusion: Kevin James Landscape (KJL) did an AMAZING job. We HIGHLY recommend them. Our property needed a complete makeover due to aging, original landscaping and water intrusion in the crawlspace. KJL developed a beautiful plan for our yard. They thoroughly removed the old landscaping, including properly finishing the tree stump removal that a nationally-known firm left incomplete and concealed. KJL expertly regraded our property for good drainage and flow. They diligently solved water issues on the turf and from AC drains. KJL created big, beautiful flower beds, enriched with lots of new soil that they brought in. They also used timbers and stones to make attractive enclosures for our AC condensers and utilities. KJL is deeply experienced. Their crews were exceptional in that they NEVER cut corners. All work was done thoroughly with detail and quality. Our neighbors have been very complimentary of KJL's work and asked for KJL to do work on their properties. We're already planning our next project with KJL. We're very pleased with their work.

Kevin was great to work with. He was punctual, professional and actually did what he said. I’m actually writing this review 2 years later because the work his company did is still performing exceptionally after several flash floods.

Re-routed the water issue on the stand up crawl space under my house and made a permanent fix! Also other standing water issues. The rain the last couple weeks has NOT even been an issue!!! I can enjoy the deck and patio again! Need a little help with landscaping plants and they will be my go to company! Thank you!

Kevin and his crew are fantastic to work with. He is incredibly knowledgable. He worked with our ideas but made them more realistic with our space and budget. I would definitely recommend him and we will hire him for future needs.
