Kevin James did a great job of communicating with us throughout the week they worked on our project. The project looks fantastic and the new grass coming in where there was no grass before looks incredible. We could have shopped around and found someone to do it for less money but Kevin James' reputation and high ratings on Angie's List gave us the confidence that the price was going to be worth it. We were not disappointed. We are very pleased with their work and would use them again.

The job went very well. The crew was professional, neat, and efficient.

The results of the project exceeded our expectations. It took a while to schedule the work, of which we informed when we accepted the bid, but it was worth the wait. Kevin was able to suggest a plan to transform the overgrown area that used part of our existing plants and lowered our cost. He had the knowledge and vision to transform the area with a plan that fit our lifestyle (low maintenance). We highly recommend this company.

This was a great experience. Kevin came out and gave me a detailed estimate and suggestions. After I agreed to the project, his crew did the work over the course of 3 days while I was at work. The yard was picked up and all the debris removed every night, and the neighbors remarked at how polite and nice the workers were. I am very pleased with end result. Everything looks great and the drainage system is working perfectly.

Kevin James and his team provided an absolutely outstanding experience on the project. Kevin's confidence, mannerisms, and ability to serve professionally and timely and yet be extremely personable, won him the business. I had (3) quotes and Kevin's was not the cheapest and it shouldn't have been either - he had the initiative and confidence to lead in detailing how to completely resolve the drainage issue while also providing an unsolicited aesthetic landscaping solution within my budget. His team was top-notch, incredibly detailed to their work, and an overall pride in workmanship was consistently evident. Bottom line: I never thought I'd be happy about a new ditch, ha!

He was prompt, professional and he did exactly what he said he was going to do for the estimate he gave me. All my calls were returned within the same day, usually within an hour or two, and Kevin answered all my questions and resolved my concerns quickly. I had a tight schedule for completing the work and he took that into account. I couldn't be more pleased and would recommend Kevin James without question.

He was great and I really enjoyed working with him although I don’t think they are the cheapest in town.

We have now used Kevin James Landscape for two separate projects: 1) digging up bamboo that covered half of our backyard, bringing in two truckloads of fill, and seeding; and 2) installing a small paver walkway and putting in several French drains for a screened porch and deck that was being built simultaneously. We couldn't’t be happier with Kevin’s work. He worked with us on price and gave us great design ideas. His crew is incredibly fast, professional, and detail oriented. He keeps to his schedule and always over-delivers. For example, after his crew finished our paver walkway, they seeded the yard, including bald spots that were the result of the porch being built, not his crew. We are very happy with Kevin James and will use him for all of our future projects.

A+++ OUTSTANDING!! From the first meeting for the quote until the completion of the project, this company delivers everything they agree to and more, exactly the way they say they will.We had plumbers, and electricians on site. Kevin and his crew managed the entire schedule to work with everyone from start to finish. We had one issue that required attention, and Kevin was onsite within 15 minutes to handle himself. This was most impressive, and the process was trouble free to us. They were fast, clean, professional and perfectionists. We now have the most beautiful backyard of anyone we know, and receive nothing but compliments. I've already recommended them to several others. Those who have seen their work with our yard needed no recommendation! Kevin's crew showed up on time and completed the project ahead of schedule. Andy, Kevin's supervisor, took charge and ownership for everything his crew completed. We had several changes, and they worked with us throughout the whole process. We had major drainage issues, and now our yard is no longer a mess after a hard rain. I can go on and on...One of the best moves we've ever made to go with Kevin James Landscape!!!!!

Kevin James Landscaping performed the estimated work on schedule and on budget. Kevin was extremely conscientious and patient explaining his vision for the drainage and side yard landscaping project. His team arrived when he indicated they would, worked diligently and expediently, and completed the project as described. When there was a post-installation complication, Kevin James responded immediately and his crew appeared the very next day to rectify the situation. It went great and succeeded in addressing my drainage problem.

It took Kevin James 4 days to return my call when the other three landscapers called back within 24 hours. However, I was most shocked to hear that he charges $150 just to come out and look at your yard. If you decide to do business with him the money is credited against your bill but if not, you are out $150. When I questioned the $150 estimate fee, he very smuggly said that his business was up and that he didn't need to be chasing new customers. His non-negotiable fee and over-confident, under-appreciative attitude detered me from doing business with him.

I was very pleased. He was always here when he said he would be here. He came back to check to make sure everything was okay.

Once again, Andy (Kevin's second in command), showed up on time, and did an excellent job. The crew weeded, pullled shrubs, planted, put down mulch, and cleaned up. When they were complete, the yard looked much better than before they arrived. Original time estimate for the job was 4 hours, but they completed in about 3. Everything worked out great. Both my wife and I were extremely satisified.

Kevin James was incredible. A true master craftsman that really understands drainage and landscape design. He recommended and planted beautiful trees and plants in our yard. Lighting was added to highlight certain plants and the entire grass portion of the yard was covered with sod. The work was incredible and Kevin was able to coordinate his landscape work with other service providers in a manner that kept our project on schedule. Kevin's crew was very professional and a pleasure to work with on a very extensive project. We would hire Kevin James again without a second thought.

Kevin came to my house and looked at pictures I had taken showing the problem. He quickly surveyed the problem area and in no time had the best proposal of the three contractors I talked to. He was professional, courteous and punctual. His crew arrived when they said they would and were careful not to cut various underground lines while digging trenches. The installation itself was very professional with new pine needles where appropriate and he also installed sod over the areas that were trenched to the storm drain. After they left you wouldn't even know a trench had been dug. They did an excellent job cleaning up after finishing the job. I highly recommend Kevin for any drainage problem you might have.

Landscape plants were severely overgrown and the yard was nothing but weeds and bald spots. It was impossible to see the house from the street due to the overgrowth. Kevin responded quickly to my request and provided a quote the next day. He provided good ideas for how to cost effectively deal with the problem. Due to his busy schedule, it was a month before his team could be scheduled. Since we had waited 55 years, another month was not going to be a problem. Kevin came by to take "before and after" pictures and sent them to me via email. The crew that came was very efficient and personable. They had the landscape looking great in less than a day. Now the yard is fully established, the plants have put out new growth and the house looks better than it has in many years.

My husband met with Kevin for the consultation and I had a few questions of my own. After speaking with Kevin on the phone, any reservations I had about paying a premium price for landscaping were gone. Kevin was personable, friendly, accessible and he knew landscaping cold. It was an impressive effort, and when I saw them at the outset I feared they'd tell us they couldn't create the trench, but they made it happen. Our backyard is now an oasis. I sit out there every Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon reading the newspaper. I never wanted to sit out there before. Birds and butterflies flock to the gorgeous plants Kevin and his team planted, and we are so proud to have parties now. A friend told me the other day, "You have the most beautiful yard in the world." Our yard, both front and back (he re-seeded the front for us as a part of the job too!) is the envy of the neighborhood. And when we had issues with a couple of trees, due to the excessive rain Kevin worked with us to replace them. I am convinced that Kevin James Landscaping is the best landscaper in all of Charlotte. Every dollar he charged was worth it, as it has truly added to the value of our home, not just for resale, but for our own enjoyment as well.

The whole project was a very positive experience. Can't say enough about the professionalism of the supervisor and his crew. They were very responsive to my requests. The workmanship was superb. The best service I've ever had!

Went very well; met with Kevin 5-6 weeks ago and discussed what was needed; received email with description and price quote; Kevin confirmed when team was coming; team arrived on time; did work; very nice supervisor and crew; extra touch appreciated - hosed down driveway to remove mud and blew leaves and debris away

Several plants succumbed to the freezing and especially the snow ... they were planted only a month before. Kevin came by today at my request to see my plants. I have about 9 dwarf gardenias ... one was dead and others really hurt by the weather. Kevin did NOT have to replace them ALL ... but he is doing just that. I highly recommend them ... they do a great job ... AND they followup on their work/guarantee!

Working with Kevin was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. He called back the same day, was early for the consultation and estimate and completed the work within my time frame. In addition to all that he was easy to work with in a collaborative partnership, he listened to my ideas and supplemented with his expertise. The work was completed while I was out of town and it was the best surprise to come home to. The workmanship was top notch and the entire site was cleaned up and other than the new walkway you couldn't tell a major demolition had gone on. I can't wait to work with Kevin again on my next project!!!
