 + -1 moreOverall experience was excellent! Jim Marshall did the backflow testing and maintenance with repairs on my lawn irrigation system for a more than reasonable price! He provides great service! He knows what to do and does it well!
Description of Work: Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities required Backflow Testing of my lawn irrigation system. Jim Marshall performed the necessary tests and submitted the form to the utility company. Also, my lawn irrigation system needed maintenance and repair. Jim Marshall repaired two of the sprinkler heads that were broken at the base and replaced the leaker line since it had so many holes in the pipe.

 + -1 moreI am President of a town-house homeowners association with about 200 units. I found Jim to be a pleasant, soft-spoken, meticulous workman. I feel lucky to have found him. The landscaping company which tends our lawns, trees, and bushes used a subcontractor to fix our irrigation system with unsatisfactory results. Now that our irrigation problems are well in hand, both the landscapers and I are happy. I'm told that trustworthy irrigation specialists are very hard to find. Jim prefers to work on the south side of Charlotte. The phone number listed is his cell phone.
Description of Work: Repaired entire system including electrical contacts, repairing cracked and broken pipes, replacing leaking valves, erratic electrical timers, replacing broken and/or missing sprinkler heads. Most of the lawn irrigation companies listed are primarily interested in installing new systems, and tend to maintain only systems which the company has installed. Jim Marshall specializes only in maintenance and repair of existing system. He therefore provides a much-needed (and hard-to-find)service. Our 5-year old irrigation system had been damaged by freezing, neglect, and/or lack of maintenance. In just two or three days time he restored it to its designed function. In November he will back-flush and winterize the system. He works alone with no subs, and charged us an hourly fee for the time he worked , plus the cost of repair parts he installed.
