They indicated the roof was in good shape. He checked all areas of the roof for leaks including the flashing, fireplace, etc. They removed tree debris from skylights. He indicated and noted the gutters needed to be cleaned which we later had cleaned by a different provider. He seemed very honest and did a great job.

The pricing was good, and the punctuality was good. There was nothing wrong with them.

Shingles were delivered promptly at 7:30 a.m. on day promised, crew showed up at 8:00 a.m. and immediately began very messy work of shingle removal. Crew worked long, 12 hour days and completed job in (just) two days which was earlier than we expected. The workmanship is exceptional and the crew were very respectful of the rest of my property and tried (as best they could) to contain the debris from falling everywhere. They cleaned up their mess each evening after concluding work and I am very happy with the final result. I am waiting for the folks at Hollingsworth to register my warranty information with the shingle manufacturer, but otherwise the job is entirely complete. All of the work was completed on time, as requested at the agreed price. Simply put, a great experience. I have no reservation referring them to anybody as they came highly recommended by two others as well.

I have used him for two other properties and his work is excellent. Both the materials and the quality of his work is excellent. I am glad I went with him.

They removed old shingles from the wall to the main roof intersection, applied self-sealing ice and water shield and re-shingled with new flashing.

They did a great job with the small repairs, and gave me a great summary of the condition of my roof and expected remaining useful life. One thing I appreciated was the fact that they didn't try to sell me any additional work or a new roof - just a good assessment of the condition of my roof. When the time comes to get a new roof, they will be first on my "short list" of companies to contact.

The provided replaced the shingles that came off during the storm. The provider also inspected the overall condition of the roof and gave me a report. He was very professional and pleasant. He did the job thoroughly. I haven't had any other trouble with the roof.

I had my roof repaired last year, and they fixed the leak. I knew I'd need to replace the roof this year, however my roof began leaking again where it was repaired before the replacement occurred. They were polite and responsive last year. When I contacted them again last month for an updated estimate to replace the full roof, I did not hear back from them. I went with another contractor.

Things went well and I was pleased. I had no problems with them. They did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves.

A+ for professionalism. From the start, Dave Olmstead was very honest about what we did and did not need. No pressure or sales pitch. Very low key. I liked that a LOT. Called Hollingsworth for a leak after a big rain. Dave told me leak could be fixed (good price quoted!), but if I wanted quote on roof, he'd do that too. Told me no rush, still had a few years left on the roof. Low pressure! Decided to go ahead it get it replaced. Glad I did. Berto's crew replaced the roof and hauled the debris away. Bushes were tarped over to prevent damage and catch debris. Yard was spotless when they cleaned up afterwards. They have magnet gizmos to pick up the stray roofing nails. The new shingles were hand nailed rather than a nail gun. Quality. Care was also taken to fit the shingles below and above the maintenance free gutter. And they left me a pack of shingles so that if I ever need repairs, I have shingles that will match. No hesitation to recommend Hollingsworth to anyone needing a new roof. Honest. Good price. Quality work. I'm very satisfied we went with Hollingsworth.

My experience with Hollingsworth was wonderful! The technician arrived on time, conducted the inspection of the property and within a day or so, sent a written quote directly to my email address. The work was scheduled and completed within a week-and-a-half or so. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

It was a very good experience. They were prompt when they gave me a time that they were going to be doing the work. They were very good at cleaning up everyday. I found nothing in the yard after they were done. There were no nails or anything. They did a good job and I was very pleased with them. Their price was also right inline with the other companies.

That was a favorable service because they were able to find a couple of things. We had a leak coming into our screened in porch through the roof. The technician was able to determine the cause of the leak and fix it. All of the service was included in the price and we were pleased!

I was a little worried I would get back a report telling me I needed a new roof, but the report came back that the roof was in good shape. The gentleman did make a couple of minor recommendaitons but overall, I was relieved not to bee looking at a costly repair job. When that time comes, I will certainly call Hollingsworth!

They repaired a roof leak on a commercial building for me. They were there the next day as promised, performed the work well and priced their work very well. Very informative and professional. I will use them again and I will recommend them to others.

Hollingsworth was one of the companies I received a quote from. I chose them based on reviews on Angie's List and based on my experience with the other companies. The other companies seem to put more pressure on the customer to use their services. Hollingsworth communicated with me promptly and professionally as I worked through the details with my insurer. I have a small home and they got the job done in one day. They cleaned up the property very well afterwards. The employees on the job were hard working and very polite. I had noticed a small bit of plastic stuck on the top of my roof since the replacement and called this week and asked if they would send someone out to remove it. They very nicely sent someone out to take care of it for me.

Called...got estimate...they arrived on time...great Honest job...very professional and truthful. Would use them again.

They came out and did the inspection soon after buying the Deal. They provided an estimate for a repair not included in the Deal and the bid they offered was very good so they came back out and did the work within a reasonable about of time.

Perfect. They where here when they said, did the work, cleaned up and left us with a good roof that we have confidence in.

Additional crown shingles have blown off the same area ... some of which were previously repaired. Also, they we going to provide a quote for additional service but never followed through.

This story would have to go under the category of how the lack of communication between the service provider and the customer can sour the overall service experience. When the representative from Hollingsworth Roofing inspected my roof prior to giving me an estimate, I explained that there was an area where the shingles had blown off and left the bare plywood exposed and discolored. I was concerned that the plywood in this area may need to be replaced, so I asked him to check out this area as well as any other areas where plywood may also need to be replaced. I explained that I would need him to include the costs for anywood replacement in his estimate. He stated to me on the day of the roof inspection that he had walked all over the area where the plywood was exposed and discolored, and inspected it and determined that the plywood would not need to be replaced. He also stated that he did not see any other areas that I need to be concerned about replacing plywood in. His estimate to me did not include an allowance for plywood replacement. When I got the bill, I noticed that the bill was $200 higher than the estimate because it included a charge for replacement of damaged plywood, including the same exposed area that I had specifically asked him to inspect. So I called and explained that the reason I had asked him to include any plywood replacement in the estimate was because the plywood replacement would have needed to be included in the total estimate in order for me to be reimbursed for it by the insurance company. I mentioned that I appreciated that his estimate included a coupon that I could use against the final bill (as did the other estimates I received), but the problem was that he had increased his final bill to me by $200 that wasn't included in the estimate. His response was that the contract stated that any necessary wood replacement will be in addition to the roofing costs and determined once the job had begun - and that "I signed the contract." I agreed that the contract did state this, but this situation was different for the following reasons: His charge for plywood replacement included replacement of plywood in the very same exposed area that I had specifically asked him to inspect before he gave me the estimate. I explained that reason that I had specifically asked him to inspect this areas as well as any other areas that may need replacement, was so that he could include the cost for wood replacement in these areas in the estimate. I reminded him that he had replaced wood in an area that he had very specifically stated to me that did not need replacement in his opinion. I explained that I was not upset that he had replaced areas of damaged wood; I was upset that I was told that this area would not need to be replaced before the estimate and only found out that it had been replaced after I recieved the final bill. But he just continued to repeat that "I signed the contract," and would not accept any responsibilty in my complaint with him. I did give his company high scores on quality and punctuality, and explained that these were the reasons I chose his estimate over the other two estimates that I had received. But he was not able to see my point of view with regards to charging me for replacing the plywood that he had not informed me about, particularly since I had raised this concern up front. I paid him the additional $200, but I would probably not use this company again. Response to Hollingsworth Roofing Inc on Dec 21, 2012: Since I had specifically pointed out to Craig Hollingsworth the damaged areas in the roof that may need the plywood replaced, I do not think it would have been unethical for him to include an additional cost for this in his estimate to me, should it have been necessary to replace it. Why would that be unethical? If the areas did not need the plywood to be replaced after all, then Hollingsworth Roofing would not have included a charge for plywood replacement in the final bill. So if the amount in the estimate was for more than the amount in the final bill, I wouldn't have benefitted financially because I would have been reimbursed for only the amount in the final bill. The reason I selected Hollingsworth Roofing was because I did not want to hire a company who would include an additional cost to me in the final bill for work that I did not expect to pay for. Not only was I never advised at any time after I pointed out the damaged areas to Craig Hollingsworth that these areas might need the plywood replaced, he specifically stated these areas did NOT need the plywood replaced. That's why I expected my bill to match the estimate. I think any consumer would agree that this is a reasonable expectation, and this is why I would not hire Hollingsworth Roofing again.
