Both crews that came out did a great job. They were on time, professional and cleaned up the area when they finished. I was especially pleased that they were very conscious of doing things safely. They knew what they were doing and did it well. I plan to use them again next spring.

These guys are amazing. I thought they would need all day but they reduced a 40-foot pine tree to a pile of wood chips in time for lunch. They also did an great job of cleaning up afterwards. I will definitely use them again if the need arises.

Excellent, as usual. Punctual, knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant to deal with as well. We have been using Heartwood for years and wish that our neighbors used them, too. The neighbors had a less professional (low cost) group take out some of their trees and the cul de sac was a mess for days. They blocked the road with so much brush it was difficult to avoid damaging the cars. Heartwood cleaned up everything beautifully. and inconvenienced no one. They are the Best!

I have used Heartwood Tree in the past. I have also used a couple of other tree services. In my opinion, Heartwood Tree is the most professional tree service. First, you make an appointment to meet with one of their arborists to discuss the work. They have very good knowledge of the trees and offer good advice. The team that did my work arrived right on time, was very professional and courteous. The work was done as promised and the crew cleaned up nicely. They also have a bucket truck which makes the work safer and quicker. This is the best treee service in our area.

They sent someone the following day. Whoever they sent, missed the major thing that I needed help with. They told me that they would have a proposal for me within 24 hours and they never did get the proposal for me.

It went exactly as discussed and agreed to by me. The workers did an excellent job. They were efficient, knew what they were doing, did a great job and cleaned up every area where they worked. The man in charge was very pleasant and helpful when answering any questions we had. I would definitely recommend Heartwood Tree Service.

We were told earlier this summer by another tree company that a very large (100') pine tree had been hit by lightning but they couldn't access when it was hit and how damaged the tree was. They suggested we have it removed and gave us a quote. I didn't feel comfortable with the quote but kept worrying about the tree. After a few months, I finally called Heartwood. Todd came out and looked at the tree and, at first, thought it may be okay with just watch it and not spend the money to remove it. As he continued assessing the damage, he noticed a very bad section and then advised me to remove it right away. This told me he wasn't trying to just take our money and remove something that may still be very much alive and okay. I appreciated that. I also appreciated that, while he gave me a price very comparable to the other company, he priced it as a "not to exceed" number and only ended up billing us for the time they spent. Basically, the price quoted was anticipating 5 hours to remove the tree. It ended up only taking 3 1/4 hours and that's what we paid for. I like that. They arrived on time for the original meeting, scheduled it timely and the crew did a great job and cleaned up our yard and my neighbors driveway (which was how they got access to the tree). I will use Heartwood again for any tree service at my home!

This is the second time we have used Heartwood. From the initial visit with John until the last day, I was so pleased. At one time there were six trucks at our home and a crane had to be brought in to take down the oak. I would never use another tree service - they are well equipped and well trained. The men were so cordial, the clean up was excellent and I highly recommend them. I am sure some will find them expensive, but I am believer in you get what you pay for.

I didn't use them. It was a good impression, but it was too much money, I couldn't afford it. They were knowledgeable.

I had a very large mimosa tree that split and fell partially on my house. I called Heartwood and they sent Craig out that day. In fact Craig met me at the house within 45 minutes of my initial call. The estimate was very reasonable and Craig was absolutely awesome to work with. He even walked around the yard with me and gave me advice on other landscaping issues. (This house is currently vacant due to a death in the family so the yard is a little overrun.) The tree did not damage the roof of the house in any way so it was not really an emergency but Heartwood had a crew out there the next day. When I went by after to work to check on it the crew and tree were gone! Yippee!!! Cleaned up so well after themselves too. This price also included stump grinding. I would absolutely recommend this company again and I am hiring them to do more work for me very soon.

The work they did was excellent. There was some miscommunication that led me to pay alot more than was expected. I did not want to use pestisides so we switched our treatments to deep root fertilization and it turned out to be significantly more than what was discussed with the service provider. The employees who came out to do the work were friendly, professional and prompt, however the person who handles billing didnt want to rectify the situation and had poor customer service skills. This company does great work, but because of the issue I had I probably would not use them again. I would recommend anyone needing work done to get the price in writing prior to having the work completed to avoid any miscommunication.

Absolutely great service. Had them clean up junk trees growing over my property and creating too much shade. The team used roped and repelled instead of using cleats. Also had them limb up a pecan tree and trim up a couple holly bushes. Accommodating on time and very prompt in communication. Team was very professional and well organized. They did everything great and the trees look amazing.

The pruning was completed in about 4 hours time. There was a three man crew who were very polite and professional. Dustin and Donavan were the names of two of the men working this day. Heartwood Tree Service is by far the most professional tree service company out there. Their salemen are very knowledgeable as are the crews that do the work. Even if I have to pay a bit more, I'd rather use this tree service company. I once used another company from out of town and the owner or supervisor went fishing in the lake behind my house. I kid you not. In fact, at one time the whole crew was fishing. Heartwood Tree Service worked from the moment they arrived until they were done. They did a nice job cleaning up. I have used this service at least a couple of times and will probably have them back again next year. I used a Angie's List coupon for $100. I mistakingly wrote out a check for the full amount. But, I gave the crew leader the coupon also. Heartwood Tree sent me a $100 check back.

They are unprofessional and unresponsive. I will not recommend their services to anyone.

We had a great experience using Heartwood Tree Service. John Maurice came out to perform the initial estimate and also provide an assessment of other trees on the property. He is very professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and truly cares about trees. We were not at home will the trimming and tree removal was performed; however, when we came home that evening, we were very pleased to find work performed very satisfactorily and the yard was in such great condition. The crew took care of cleaning up the yard to remove all waste. We will definitely use them again for any necessary tree services.

The initial contact was good, but we were told we would be given a notice as when the job was going to be done. We were out of town when they called and said they were coming the next day. Although we hated not to be there, the tree needed to come down so we let them go ahead and do it. They were to cut down the tree and remove the stump. When we returned home, the tree was gone, but the stump was still there. They did not call, email, or leave us a note to let us know what was going on. It was a week before someone just showed up to take the stump out. We also paid for grass seed to be put down. We were not pleased with the job that was done with the stump removal or the seeding. I even filled out an report letting them know I was not happy with the job and they didn't even despond to that. Over all disappointed as it was a costly job and I expected more from this company.

They were very professional

The crew was punctual, worked at a good speed and cleaned up very well. They answered questions and explained what was being done. All three workers were friendly and followed proper tree procedures. We prefer to deal with this company since they are certified arborists and not just tree cutters.

They were very expensive but they were very good. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They were very professional. They had a lot of service people working for them. It was a much larger operation than the other tree service. Heartwood Tree Service LLC is much larger. The price was high. I pay more because there are so many different professionals working for them. The quality was excellent and there was nothing wrong with the company at all. They were very responsive, very punctual and very professional. If I had to I would use them again in the future. They were excellent. I am sure they have been checked out; nice people. All clean and cut and nothing wrong with them at all. I don’t have anything negative to say about them.

I had used Heartwood once before on a recommendation when I had two trees that needed removal. I knew I would call them again. When I did they set up an appointment for a few days later to come to the house and review what needed to be done. The next day I received their estimate in e-mail, gave my approval and knew since this was not a huge job (about an hour or so of work) they would fit it in when they had time. Less than two weeks later they arrived, told me they were here and completed the work. They are always very professional and thorough. I always feel good knowing that people who truly love trees are helping me care for mine.

They did an excellent job. They were timely, polite and efficient.
