They were professional and prompt on giving us the estimate. He is very knowledgeable in his trade. I would highly recommend them based on our dealings with them thus far.

This company was very responsive. They came when scheduled to give me an estimate and scheduled the removal according to my wishes. They arrived to do the job exactly as they indicated. The price while not the lowest estimated, was competitive. The crew was very professional, very competent and did an outstanding job. I would definitely hire this company again, if I need tree service in the future.

The guy I worked with, Peter, was very professional and responsive to my needs. I also received an Angie's List discount.

Stephan Zimmerman showed up on time and was very professionally dressed in a company logo shirt. Excellent knowledge of types and names of trees on property. Very pleasant manner. Priced slightly higher than other companies who gave us bids. Unfortunately another company wowed us with their sales pitch and we hired them. They practically destroyed our new lawn in the process of attending to our trees. I would use Heartwood Tree Service next time due to their tree knowledge.

Great job but excessive backlog and high price.

Heartwood inspected the tree and as expected, the tree was dying and it was in the end stage. The individual who came was polite, well dressed and informative. I wish the tree could have been saved. Good experience (no charge!)

We chose an arborist because we were concerned the tree might be dying. Stephan Zimmerman came out and assured us the tree is fine and the limb just broke off due to the way it was attached to the tree. The two men who came out to remove the limbs, did a great job of cleanup of all debris. Only problem was that Stephan did not mention on his work order that the limb full of leaves was lying on the grass. Thus ASAP on his report didn't happen quickly enough and the grass has died. I am sure it will recover this fall. Although the amount was not the $600 required for an Angie List discount, they did give us 5% off which we appreciated.

Trees & shrub work was completed on 7/5/06. Stumps were ground 2 weeks later (needed the gas company to mark pipe lines). All work was completed to my satisfaction. Quality work and great consultation with arborist Pete G. Plan to work with Heartwood again on my next tree needs.

Stephan is an excellent arborist. He explained to me the types of trees we have in our yard and how to take care of them. He was there to explain what needed to be done to the men who performed the work and was extremely patient with all my questions. Heartwood is a very reputable and caring company and I would recommend them to anyone.

This is a follow up to my posting on 6/30 where Heartwood missed the diagnosis of my trees. Patrick George was very kind to follow up with me and as mentioned below, he offered to pay for my tree removal and treatment of the remaining trees, work that was to be done by another company. I ended up having Heartwood treat my trees because I was not getting an immediate response from the other company and the work needed to be done ASAP. I called Patrick and he scheduled someone to come treat the trees within 48 hours. I really appreciate Heartwood's immediate response to this situation. They were punctual and overall professional. I will use them for future jobs.

The price was as quotes. The representatives (both the arborist and the guys who did the work) were extremely helpful. They were real good about hearing my concerns and offering suggestions. I would recommend them to anyone one. It was a first class experience.

These people are absolutely top notch! They get back to you quickly, are always on time, are extremely polite and pleasant, and are truly experts at what they do. I found their price quote to be very reasonable and in line with the other quotes I received. If you have trees that you love or ones that cannot be replaced, I would highly recommend you at least give them a call.

They were able to schedule him for the next day. He was prompt and gave us recommendations for a replacement as well as nurseries where we would get quality specimens.

The representative informed me that my cedar tree was dying, because it was not getting enough sun. I asked if there were any bugs attacking the tree and the rep said no. Unfortunately, he was wrong. Thankfully, I got a second opinion from another company listed on Angie's List. The other company immediately diagnosed the condition as bagworms (which was easy to see when you looked inside the branches.) My tree needs to be cut down immediately as they have killed one tree and are moving towards my three other trees. They are moving fast and I may lose 2 out of 4 trees, because I wasted time and listened to Heartwood's original diagnosis.

Excellent-the salesman showed up on time, gave me a written quote. Several days later the crew showed up on time, performed their work, and cleaned up to my complete satisfaction. When my bill arrived I was able to use the Angie's List coupon for $100.00.

Craig came out to do an initial evaluation. I was very impressed with how friendly and knowledgeable he was. When he and his crew returned to do the work, they too were just as helpful and courteous! They found some additional dead branches once they were up in the tree removing the branch we had planned to remove. They made sure to remove those as well. I was extremely impressed with their work and their professionalism. I would not hesitate to refer them or hire them back!

The company was very responsive, very punctual on their set appointment, and very professional. Their quote was 2x the next highest quote. I would hire them for a future job but would need to shop their quote to be comfortable that I would be getting a fair price.

Stephan Zimmerman arranged for a team to come remove a dead tree that had fallen from property behind our home which is vacant. Due to the extensive storm damage in our neighborhood, we expected them to come several days later. Instead, they came the next morning - earlier than expected. They were friendly, respectful, professional, worked together well, were safety conscious, efficient and accommodating to our wishes to have the debris moved back onto the property out of sight. They also were friendly in explaining their equipment afterwards to my curious little son. When I thanked them for their work, they replied ''it was our pleasure''. You can't beat that. We did not have to pay for them because the developer in Oregon who owns the property paid them, so I can't say if they are expensive or not. If they are, you certainly get a good service for it.

Heartwood is a pleasure to work with. They were prompt in giving an estimate and performed the work exactly when they said they would. When the work was completed, they did a good job of cleaning up afterwards.

Outstanding!! I was so please with the prompt service and the fact that Craig took care of the whole project. He mad it very hassle free. Very timely, through and willing to fix anything if we were not 100% satisfied. We were very pleased with the work and highly recommend Heartwood Tree Service to anyone needing trees fertilized and limbs trimmed or cut.

Very prompt and professional. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. They quoted us for a three man crew spending at most 3 hours each. They sent a 4 man crew and it took 3 hrs and 15 mins. They start charging when they leave for your house, so I paid for 45 minutes before they cut a single branch. With a 4 man crew it got expensive.

Patrick is an arborist. He knows exactly how to take care of your trees. He trims expertly and without harm. Having once hired someone who stumped a 50 year old crepe myrtle, you will never see such irresponsible chopping with this company.

This company was the best of the three companies I called. It was the only one that mentioned to save the tree before cutting. The other two were cheaper than this one but they did not provide technicians who come to see what you needed. The other two companies came with the staff to study how to cut it (It was a very tall tree). Heartwood has arborists who can diagnose and decide first of all if the cutting is necessary. To me this was the major factor in the decision to hire them even though we had to pay UP $300 more. The fact that they try to keep the trees alive when we are cutting trees around the world without any control. I told one of the other companies that when they called to find out who got the job.

Overall experience was excellent. Cleaned up after the work was done.
